JA SLAUGHTERED Travis to death- in what I could only imagine would be the most horrific way to die- is that not enough for you JC? Is his death somehow justifiable because he was disrespectful?? IMO, JC is more disrespectful than she believes Travis to be. She may as well spit on his grave as much as she slanders this poor guy.

I am getting nervous about this trial. Of course we know she lied to Det. Flores about murdering TA, but as far as her testimony is concerned, both my husband and I believe her to be telling the truth. We were raised Mormon and can certainly relate to JA speaking of their sexual rules, secrecy, chaperones, affairs, acting one way around church members and another way around non-members, name calling. My MIL told my husband that I was a "*****".

I am not defending her, just saying her testimony is believable, in our opinions, based on our OWN experiences in Mormon culture.

Well at least someone is thinking she is telling the truth because I have only seen a very tiny few anywhere on the internet that believes one word that has come out of her mouth since she started her cheesy novella on Monday. She had better lies for Flores than she does for Nurmi.

So what if he was secretive. He didnt have to shout his personal affairs to the world. He is no different than any other man or women in a church that has weaknesses they need to work on. This is nothing but religious persecution of a homicide victim. Pure and simple. Ugggh.

I find her story quite laughable actually. She is a very poor liar even though she has had two years to put this altogether. She talks scripted now but she will be unable to do so when Juan comes at her from every direction without warning of what he is going to ask her. He will fire questions at her like a bullet. He is not going to let her drone on and on and on about stupid nothings. He will get down to the nitty gritty in short order if Nurmi ever shuts up and this boring direct ends.

Just play the darn phone sex tape and get on with it so the trial can really regain the focus of why the jury is there.

This is beyond ridiculous now. This is overkill just like she overkilled Travis when she murdered him.

According to the defense opening statement, it was a few weeks before Jodi murdered Travis. Probably part of her blackmail/alibi/murder plan.

You guys are sooooo gonna hate me for this...

I logged out of WS and just focused on watching/listening JA's testimony and she is really coming off believable. I didn't say I believe her I'm saying if you watch her and forget about everything and just focus on the trial. Let me explain...

1. DT asks a leading question and TA gives a different answer then DT expected.
2. TA seems calm.
3. Giving simple answers only rambling once in awhile.
4. Admitted to going in his email being honest.

BUT she remembers which direction a specific car is parked but not how many days she went on a trip with TA. They only had sex on one occasion on that trip (unless I missed something) and it was a 3 or 4 day trip, doesn't sound like sexual deviancy. She let it slip that it was roommate that called her a when she tried to explain TA said something about telling the hello (I would like to review the video to be positive on that).

Don't hate on me too much just calling it like some might see it SO FAR.

If I didn’t know anything else about her, then I would believe her as well. But there is a script she is following, she’s puts her own spin on situations and occurrences as they happened to suit her position. I don’t think there are many people that can recall so many details about so many situations/places/things. It’s part of her makeup, scary at that.

I think the playing field is vastly uneven when one part of a couple is disordered. You can't compare any normal relationship to the chaos and destruction experienced in a relationship with someone who is mentally ill. (I struggle with the word ill in psychopathy though because I see it as more a character blight than actual illness.)

It blows everything anyone of us would normally do or not do in a relationship out of the water because there are things that crazy-making, brainwashing, and gaslighting cause you to do you think yourself incapable of. Until...

I am trying very, very hard right now to ignore the judgemental victim-bashing that exists and avoid a TO. It's giving me flashbacks to some not so nice places and I strongly dislike the e-version of spitting on a murder victim's grave.

In reply to "using is abusing," I think that all of us, if we had daughters dating a guy who wasn't serious and she was would tell her he is "using" her. We might even call it abuse to be stringing someone along when someone pretends to be close but isn't interested. However, for this case, when we say abuse, we are referring to it in the legal sense of what justifies imminent self defense to preserve a person's life. In that sense, "using" is not the same as abusing.
