Many many moons ago I had a gun pointed at my head, it was an angry boyfriend, jealous over a girl, he came out of nowheres. I remember it well to this day....it was a situation I was in and I was able to talk my way out......I did not even know this guy. Being that Travis knew Jodi, he had a good chance to talk his way out, after all he was a motivational speaker.

I agree with you Karmady, something does not add up to the mustard test. I have a hard time believing pint sized Jodi could carry this out by herself.

Just too much going on with picture taking and holding the gun at the same time, seems like an easy situation to diffuse for any male relatively smart on his feet. I really think she had help, I know many will say she is too narcissistic to accept this blame all by herself BUT I also see her as crazy enough not to want to share the spotlight and want the credit all to herself.

She didn't have or need help. IMO she dropped the camera to lunge at him with the knife ..he was standing after it was thrust into his heart....he got out if the shower. He was standing in the bathroom. The cast off blood in the bathroom floor to ceiling proves that to me.

I think she stabbed him in the chest first ....IMO all of the stab wounds to the front of his body had to happen as he got out of the shower.

So does that mean she hasn't explained the gun at all yet .. and I am sure I read yesterday somewhere (sorry) that no knives were missing from knife blocks / knife sets in home and none tested positive for blood etc ... it'll be interesting to hear her discuss how she obtained both weapons during the so called self defence murder! Bring those two questions on....

If she had both in her purse why are they missing now? How did they go missing, and where did they go missing, and if this is self defence what is her reasoning for not handing them in for testing or letting the police know where they are?

Oh and of course the other burning question .. why did she take them on holiday and to a sex romp to begin with?

Going down like a sack of **** :)

Anyone watching Love Kills on ID? About a guy stalked by a woman that so far has slashed his tires....

Pint sized? She was 5' 6" and 125 on her driver's license. Generally that would mean she's even heavier than that.

Travis was only 5' 8", right?

It wasn't an arm wrestling contest :( I have no problem believing a girl her size who was trained in karate could do what she did when he had nowhere to move to. "Any male" just doesn't work in real life, imho. There's no reason (that I know of) to assume he had skills to overcome a fast-moving knife in that tiny space. He'd have to be up against someone who had no idea what they were doing. Apparently she knew how to use a knife :(

If he thought of her as just a pint sized, pretty little girl that could have really worked in her favor, too :( His defense may have begun half-heartedly, and that's when he got stabbed in the heart, perhaps.

Travis & Arias supposedly kept the relationship going several times after the tire slashing, tells me he had a few screws loose too

Most guys I know will bail and ditch a woman who slashes his car tires...And cut off all communications...Huge Red Flag

So Travis keeps the sex based relationship going despite JA having this pyscho episode?

Just saying, c'mon, maybe the sex booty calls with a horny nympho were too good to pass up?

Some guys are like that, I'm not trying put Travis in a bad light, but alot of guys will hang/have sex with a crazy wild woman just for the great sex

My DH had an ex who tried to stab him in the neck but stabbed him in his palm instead. They were fighting over him friending me on FB .. that was it, they broke up (we were just friends at the time) .. anyway she'd been violent for years but he always went back after psycho episodes (unexplainable) .. interesting thing tho, before he dated her she had a few other ex's in our small town who she was similarly psycho with and a lot of them went back time and again also ... crazy sex is the unanimous answer all have given as their reasoning for putting up with her. I'd like to add one of my own: HUGE EGO BOOST FOR THE DUDE. Some chick is so madly in love with you that she will completely lose her mind over you and do all sorts or crazy dramatic things to hold onto you .. that makes a guy with less than super self esteem feel pretty good in a not so healthy way.

Oh how terrible for you and your family! I am so sorry...

When I first came here and started to post, I was always very surprised at families who had gone through such tragedy and yet were able to come and share here. I am so in awe of those who can do so. I have seen a lot of suffering and it never ceases to amaze me how some can be so strong. I have always thought that I couldn't handle these situations with such grace as I have seen some here handle their tragedies. It might seem strange to hear, but I know I'm not alone in saying that people like you are really such an inspiration to those of us who have not been in your shoes. I'm so glad that you decided to join Websleuths. I know that you will be able to offer a lot to all of us.

It is because of people like you and others that we find strength. I joined web sleuths because I believe in justice and this site appeared victim friendly. I call myself a survivor. I try to honor my brother every single day in any way I can. When I went to the signing of the Biden Crime Bill and met with President Clinton, it was then that I realized my mission had only begun. I glean people's thoughts and opinions from this site in hopes to make a difference in future policy.

I'm not, as posted above. But if that cracks you rtfu so be it. Better take that chance than being a dead "hostage" in my shower stabbed 29 times with my throat slit from ear to ear. I'm going for the bitty gun.

As I said above...we will have to agree to disagree. This equates to - "I don't want to talk about it anymore". Thanks for doing just that with regards to posting to me about this subject. I appreciate it! :)

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to join. My name is Kristin and I live in AZ.

I don't typically follow trials like this, or even watch the news much, but this case has me hooked! Jodi is a whole new level of evil and I can't wait to watch her go down in flames! :furious:

I only watched bits and pieces of the prosecution, but even so, I am definitelly a Juanette!! Watching him flip the defense witnesses to benefit the state has been great! I can't wait to see him destroy Jodi on cross!!! :great: I was so excited when I saw that she took the stand. I don't know if I'll be able to stomach watching her make more ridiculous accusations against Travis (his poor family), but I will be glued to the TV when Juan gets his turn at her! :rocker: Good luck keeping up with all your rehearsed stories when it's not Nurmi holding your hand! I'd be terrified going up against Juan even if I were innocent Lol

I do understand why the judge is allowing her to tell her LIES about what she "saw" but I don't think I can handle listening to it. I have to remind myself that the DV expert who says it's relevant to her state of mind is only doing her job and giving her opinion based on what JODI has told her. She makes me SICK! I keep telling myself that letting her go through all of this will give her less grounds to appeal on later. That and I truly believe that she'll go on and on about all of this and then Juan will get up there and rip apart her lies. I think the jury is going to be even more disgusted with her after being REMINDED that she's a horrible liar who has no remorse whatsoever and sentence her to death. Enjoy your last audience Jodi... no one is going to listen to your BS soon!!

Y'all are scaring me, in that you do not seem to know that you are not supposed to "do what they want" regarding being threatened with a gun. Just like you NEVER get into a car with a kidnapper as you will certainly not survive in a remote location. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! SCREAM, KICK, YELL FIRE, Gouge their eyes with you fingers and scrape down. What's the worst that can happen? You get shot? Maybe, but the chances are slimmer than if you go along with his plans. I will die fighting, not surrendering.

HEY don't forget the Juanabe's. We just Juanna have fun too.

Have you heard the blockbuster pop hit by Adele, SomeJuan Like You? Little known fact, she wrote it about Juan Martinez!

Yes, I loathe the whole idea that because Travis was male and bigger than her that he should, or could have taken down JA like an updated version of Steven Seagal.

The facts are, IIRC, that Travis did fight for his life. He lost. So apparently being a male and bigger than JA didn't help him any. I wish it had.

IMO

I knew ALL of that! Still frozen with fear.

Maybe I would have done something if he tried to move us to another location...thankful he got the money and left. My friend, who remained cool and calm gave a fantastic description of the perp and his car, he was caught 15 minutes later.... No thanks to me. All I remembered seeing was a gun. And I described it much bigger than it actually was.

I agree with this statement but yet Jodi had not one iota of damage, a couple of minor scratches does not equate with Travis fighting for his life.

  • #177
What do you have in mind? Maybe she had threatened him in the past?

For me, the slashing tires and insane jealousy would have been enough for me to make a remark like that, although semi-jokingly. And it seems Travis did not take the threat to his safety real seriously either. But I'd like to hear what you think might have been said or done to Travis, beyond the tire slashing.

I don't really know, just thoughts in my head at times. The what if's.

I really do think she gave the stab to the heart very quickly in the fight :(

I would never, ever get into a car with anyone, even if they had a gun; if they were going to kill me, they'd do it then and there, I wouldn't allow them to take me from the scene.

But in my own home? Most people are there for a robbery and don't intend to kill anyone; it would be dumb of me, knowing this, to run at at the gunman. I would comply, because the chances of me coming out of it alive are much greater.

IMO, of course.
