yes. I work on airplanes and we are offered this training since 911. You can take seminars without signing up for months worth of classes.

I also suggest concealed carry if you state allows it. Nothing makes me feel safer in my home than knowing I have my trusty Glock near. not to mention it is a super fun hobby! evaded to the range in a few hours.

My hubby and I both have permits to carry a concealed weapon. He just bought me a .380 Smith and Wesson at Christmas and he has a glock among other handguns and long weapons for hunting.

All of our family target practices together. Yes it great family fun.

IMO

I woke up this morning extremely upset. I understand that our legal system gives a lot of leeway to defendants so that we avoid convicting innocent people. However what this killer and her defense team are being allowed to do to Travis is reprehensible. I guess I mean really to Travis' family because my faith teaches me that Travis can no longer be hurt now.

I pray that knowing who their brother/loved one/friend is protects/comforts all those who love Travis as these lies are spewed about him.

I believe that this jury will see through this bs and that it will become an aggravating circumstance as they deliberate what penalty the killer should receive.

I hope that any defense attorney who uses this kind of scorched earth defense is haunted by the victims as they lay their head on their pillows at night. I think it is possible to offer a vigorous defense without using the worst lies to attack the victims.

Believe it or not were still on direct. He hasn't even gotten close to the events of the crime yet.

Anyone think defense will go through the crime pretty fast. The less mistakes she makes, the better. Should be interesting. jmo

I'm not commenting on the whole debate you guys are having because it is speculation and doesn't matter BUT I did want to point out one thing, in this case TA was shot with a .25 and the ME testified that that wound was fatal and would have killed him on it's own.

I'm still somewhat behind and haven't read through the ME report yet, but I saw testimony that the fatal wound was when she cut his throat. So when was the gun shot wound according to the ME? TIA :)

They may, but wouldn't that make it look like they are minimizing the crime? That might not sit too well with the jurors. I think for some reason that Jodi may say she doesn't remember what happened-like she was "not there" if you know what I mean. I hope I am wrong.

Yes. I believe there will be much she "doesn't remember" I'm sure JM will remind her at some point of each injury she inflicted. Slaps down a picture "Do you remember that Ms. Arias" one after the other.

I would luv for Jodi to explain why she kept the sex tape, photos etc. Heck I wanna know why she even recorded it. From her perspective lol. I think we can pretty much guess why.

She said no jury will ever convict me. Asked why, because I am innocent. Then the most (to me) ridiculous revised explanation, she said it was because she was going to to commit suicide, (but put on her makeup for the interview). Why would she care that she would be put in a patted cell or whatever is she was suicidal. Boy talk about spinning a story. What an insult to ones intelligence in my opinion. moo

Well, obviously not tolerant at all, or kind. And we are a little "iffy" on compassinate and loving. jmo

Well she did let Travis's dog live :floorlaugh: (No disrespect intended)

Per February 18 People Magazine: "On MySpace Arias (in an undated modeling shot) describes herself as 'tolerant, kind, compassionate, loving'"

This appears next to a pic of her "modeling" ???

Well, obviously not tolerant at all, or kind. And we are a little "iffy" on compassinate and loving. I think there should be a disclaimer added beside that description. The opinions stated here are not necessary viewed by her friends and/or the general public. jmo

Picture Perfect: The trial of Jodi Arias - 48 Hours - CBS News

This is the JA 48 Hrs interview, broadcast late Jan 2013. It's the one where she describes the 'ninja attack'. JA is very calm and eerily the same affect as the current testimony.

The interview JA did elsewhere about no jury will ever find her guilty is in evidence. So far, I've heard nothing from the defense about the 48 Hrs ninja interview. Will it be in evidence for the Prosecutor, too?

I laughed out loud at that explanation. Maybe JM can ask her so why didn't you just off yourself.

My guess is the dog headed for the doggie dog the minute she came downstairs and it may have saved his life. Someone said the dog had been barking a lot. jmo

According to Horn the gun shot was last

Who is paying for JAs defense?

I want my girls to carry something. Pepper spray is one. They work retail and get lots of closing shifts. Scarry world out there

IIRC in one of the Police reports Travis's friends reported when they entered the house there was a (doggy) gate at the stairs. They found that unusual as the dog had free run of the house. I guess Jodi would want the dog as far away as possible to bring the least amount of attention if the dog went crazy barking. I'm surprised she didn't hurt the dog. Knowing how much Travis loved him. At least he was spared.

Problem for Jodi is, she has already told the story with the two "ninjas" which pretty much describes what may have happened because it goes along with the evidence. With the gun shot, first or last it really doesn't matter, does it? It's the stab to the heart, the other frontal wounds, the stabbings in the back, the head (one stab wound that took a chunk out of his skull) his defensive wounds and lastly the cutting of the throat, all while he was still alive. That speaks of rage, not of self-defense. We know he was down on all fours crawling, she said so and yet she still continued to stab him, then cutting his throat as he got to the bedroom. She may have thought he was going for his cell phone and it was time to finish the job so she could leave.

I think the roommate may have done that because he had been home a couple of nights before they discovered Travis. My guess is the dog kept going to the locked door and scratching to get in and the roommate put the gate across to keep the dog downstairs. Just a guess.

If she had had help, I don't think she'd share the spotlight either. I think she'd blame the entire thing on her accomplice.

*IF* she had help - it would have been from the guy with the odd hands in the p pics she is saying are Travis (NOT), IMHO.
By the way, that is a big *IF*
