He filed a motion to exclude it. He was overruled.
I'm so upset that Jodi is allowed to accuse Travis of being a peadophile; it's so disgusting. Would a male defendant be allowed to get on the stand and accuse his slaughtered female victim of such a vile thing? It's my non-expert opinion that if the genders were reversed, no judge in his or her right mind would allow it. And if a judge allowed it, every women's group in America would be storming Arizona.

Just, IMO.

I would most likely need to be sedated I'd be so upset.

Me too. Just the fact that she killed him so brutally and went along her merry way without a care about it speaks volumes about how scared she WASN'T!

Hmmm. I think it had everything to do with the Cancun trip. In Jodi's mind, traveling with Travis (and visiting the 1,000 places) belonged to her and her alone. I think Jodi was insanely jealous that he was going to travel to Mexico with any girl other than her and she made sure it didn't happen.

Me too me too! She acted so casual speaking with the detective about it, oh yes i knew he was going to cancun with another girl. No biggie!! This is the same girl who cried hysterically 30 minutes in a bathroom when a drunk girl hugged him? Travis didn't hug her, she hugged him. I think in her mind Travis' fate was in his own hands that night. And to twisted sister he made the wrong one. I think she was consumed, no obsessed with jealousy.
But this is why I love this board! Isn't it interesting that we are all watching the exact same trial unfold and we all have such differing opinions? Unfortunately that is also what scares me about the jury.

I am soo far behind that I am skipping 1/3 of thread 26 and all of 27. I just can't keep up! This may have been discussed already, which I apologize for, but I wanted to mention a point I hope Juan Martinez hits on the cross.

Remember the pictures the defense introduced and asking the computer guy what color her hair was, trying to discount the State's point that the hair dye job was a sign of the defendent's premeditation, and discredit the rental car guy's testimony that she was blonde.

Last night I read the police report that someone linked in thread 26, and someone named Clancy Talbot gave an interview over the phone about the defendent's visit to Utah. lots of concerns about JA's behavior and trip timeline. Oh, and mentioned that she, "showed up with brown hair when she usually is blonde."

I hope Juan brings that up to void any wondering about her hair color! Who cares what color hair she has in photos taken days or weeks prior to the murder.

The link: the part i am referencing is on pg 14. http://grahamwinch.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/floresinvestigationreport.pdf

Hey Minor, I think that even if it was overruled....

Juan has found a way to work it in his favor..

He's just talented like that!

I can't wait til he gets his turn! Pass the popcorn!

So Jodi's vile accusation is evidence. OK, I understand why the judge is allowing it now. Still hate, hate, hating it.

I can't wait for JM to cross-exam this bi - - - *bites tongue*

Thanks! I lurk all the time but am trying to get more involved! I thought I thought I could do that while recovering from a surgery 2 weeks ago but alas...the recovery has me with a cast on my arm! Lots of time to lay around and read, but now it's hard to type haha!

I've been at this computer for so long this morning, I feel like when I stand up I'll hear a suction sound.

Gonna go get the cleaning done for the day.

Ciao, fellow sleuthers.

I think it is just a lot of posters here are those who have been a crime victim or close to a crime victim and were drawn to this site. Maybe cathartic I hope?

I not only own a gun but I have it strapped to my ankle with a conceal carry permit. When I leave my house it comes with. It's a small thing but powerful enough to stop a person. I've known how to shoot since I was a teen and I bought my first when I lived alone. My decision to carry came when a cluster of women who disappeared hit the news in my area and others. One even called 911 from the back seat of the car but was dead within minutes of the last call. She had two little babies and a loving husband who are now with out her.

I have LE in my family as well and I know that when really bad things go down you have to be able to defend yourself. LE can not just show up in the back seat of a car and rescue you.

With that said, I can totally understand why people don't wish to own a gun or be educated about their safety and use. My gun is not a topic to be pushed onto others. It's a personal choice I made for my own life. Heaven forbid I ever have to use it but I refuse to become a statistic joining so many others who lost their life becuase they were helpless when a monster swooped in and took their life away.

It's nerve wracking when you first shoot a gun becuase you don't know what to expect before you pull the trigger and it can be very startling when you do. I can NOT fathom being on the other side like Travis was. A gun is a scary thing no matter the size, no matter who is holding it, no matter how big you are. Add a maniac like Jodi and I don't even have the words.

When I look at that last photo of Travis...the one with his nose running and the look of terror in his eyes, I know I am looking at a man who is staring death in the face. A gun, a knife or even both but sheer terror at what he is seeing and what is to come. It makes me sick and helpless. I just want to reach into the photo and rescue him. :(

My heart breaks for his friends and family. And now we have this up coming week's testimony about little boys and sex tapes and...just a vile mess. All becuase Jodi didn't get what she wanted. All becuase someone finally told her no, a man is a dead and a family's nightmare continues.

I loved it when she told the jury how she cried in the bathroom. Yes, she said one time she was sitting on the toilet in there. lol She thought it was quite normal to hide in the public bathroom in a ball gown and cry as an almost 30-year-old woman. I kept thinking her attorney would shut her up because the story had BIG RED FLAGS for jealous possessive psycho, but he let her ramble on and on. lol

That's pretty much how I remember it as well. I wish the guest by phone would have been allowed to speak more. Dr Drew's sidekick kept interrupting with her opinions.

Dr Drew stop the sidekicks. They are just trying to parlay their appearance into their own show and won't shut up.

All the ME could say for certain was that the bullet entered and exited the skull. The brain was too decomposed to determine the extent of the damage done. It may have been superficial, and Travis may have been very lucky in that regard.

Shooting him in the head after the major neck wound makes no sense whatsoever. That very bullet is why she is facing the death penalty, as it was linked to a gun she is alleged to have stolen a week prior to the murder. If he was already dead, why risk leaving any more evidence behind with a gunshot?

I thought the bullet remained in his cheek? I'll go re-read report after I catch up.

Thank you ATL, I appreciate the explanation. I've been a member for a few years but I only recently came out of lurk mode.

I am a noob, but I haven't seen anything strange. Could you elaborate?

LOL That first chick that he had co-hosting thought her purpose was to loudly confess all her past sins. I could never find her name or her purpose for co-hosting. They punted her and brought in a psychologist with short skirts.
