I'd vote to add 5.001 stories: don't forget many a cut and scratch were from her cat. The FERAL cat, that is!!

Ya, remember how she was gleefully pointing out all her 'feral cat' scars in order to keep Det. Flores from looking at her hand? He finally said, "Let me see your hand," and she kept it as close to her side of the table as possible (after having reach all the way across several times to grab the pen).

Not only that, but who plays with a scar-leaving feral animal with bare arms? ^alk about how NOT to socialize a young or wild kitten/cat... ugh.

It is an interesting issue. Psychopaths do feel superior, but they also have an uncanny ability to "read" what other people want - that is why they are SO successful. I could see someone like JA feeling superior in a short testimony where they got to shine, but, over the days, I could also see someone like her becoming VERY frustrated when she is not getting the non verbal feedback from the jury she wants to see. How painful to see that they are not all with you, adoring you, and still be forced to continue. Especially if she is seeing them look to TAs family with any type of sympathy.

I don't think they are always right, but I think narcissistic personalities are very adept at telling if their stories are being heard. Typically, they can change their behavior to accommodate the listener's particular needs, but, in a case such as this, there is no real opportunity to do so because of lack of feedback.

I noticed Jodi's shift in demeanor yesterday and posted about it earlier. Throughout most of her testimony, Jodi has presented herself to the jury and hardly ever looked away from them. Something changed yesterday, and her downward gaze, self-comforting gestures, and nervous ticks like adjusting her glasses were obvious. Jodi actually showed signs of nervousness yesterday, and I'll be she didn't sleep well. I think she has gone too far with her lies about Travis and trashing her reputation, and the jury isn't buying her sordid tale any longer. :moo:

I think the anger and tears are about having to tell the ugly, gruesome story of how she murdered Travis- pure and simple.

She LOVES telling stories about her boyfriends, their love lives, her career aspirations, her unacknowledged artistic abilities, her spanish and real estate classes, her investment goals, the ex boyfriends that all remain her beloved friends, her cute outfits, her travels and hotel stays, her manic photography documenting every second of her life, and her sex life with Travis. She doesn't like speaking about anything that doesn't paint her in a good light,

I personally don't even think she likes testifying over and over again about being a victim. Having to admit to AND describe every aspect of her viscously slaughtering Travis is THE ONE THING SHE NEVER WANTS TO HAVE TO EXPLAIN, TO ANYONE- EVER.

She is so pissed about this she can hardly stand it.

Think about it, during the States case in chief every time Juan discussed the actual murder and showed photos she hid behind her hair- entirely. I could not see even one inch of her face at these moments.

She is pissed that she doesn't get to tell a long, meandering, sing-song story of some part of her life she enjoys retelling and recounting over and over again for hours on end.

NO- this story she is going to HAVE TO TELL is not going to leave some hot, sexy image of herself in anyones mind.

She is going to now begin to look like an ugly, evil, violent maniac and SHE CANNOT STAND THIS IMAGE OF HERSELF. Her soft, meek quiet little voice is not going to jive with THIS particular story and she is "writhing with pain like an ant under a microscope' over this one!

Touche lady- you did it and now you have to tell the world exactly how you did it... no ninjas or fantastical tales... we will get to see the REAL Jodi Arias with this story- mark my words!

It appears #JodiArias judge may have heard concerns about Travis' family reacting in court. After judge called recess they were taken aside

I don't see why this would upset JA.

Ok... new theory:

maybe someone pressed the button and zapped her, accidently of course, and her leg hurts, that might produce real tears.

Did she say throw it, or did she say drop it? Was it Nurmi who said he threw it?

Dropped it. Nurmi HarlequinNovel-ized it (usually that's JA's forté).

according to Jodi... she gave him oral... he eja**** on her face... and on his way to his car, he threw her a Tolberone.

I'd be happy if my hubby threw me chocolate :D just sayin...

O-MAH-GAWD! Wiping up the coffee I just spit onto the screen laughing.

"I would never call the police on Travis. I could never imagine doing something like that. It would have felt like treachery".

I'll just stab him in the heart...stab him a couple dozen times in his body...slit his throat from ear to ear and to top it off, shoot him in the head. Because, I can't imagine doing anything to betray him.

:puke:

It's really astounding, like she lives in two realities, or rather, thinks her audience is living in two realities. We all know what you did to Travis, Jodi, and we all know that you are doing your best to kill him viciously again from the witness stand. No one wants to hear your fond reminiscences of the good old days when you worried about him. Any credit you may have wanted was destroyed forever on June 4, 2008.

You know, all of this testimony by JA, about how terrible things were, how embarresing and horrific things were... but a month before she killed him, she is posting on his blog" This is my favorite post – probably because you give me a mention – one of your “fantastic visionary friends.” ...haha =) It's loaded with inspiration, humorous sarcasm, and fresh perspectives, love it!

May 1, 2008 at 9:50 PM"

So this was after she knew he was a abusive, pedophile? Ughhh! So made up! It drives me crazy...!

Either way it supports what a good liar she is.

Martinez is not going to let her plead unless TA's family agrees. Tanisha has made it pretty clear she wants to see the needle in JA's arm.

After yesterday's testimony, there is no incentive for TA's family to accept anything less than the DP. JA has already said pretty much the worst of the worst. She accused TA of being a homophobe, pedophile, blasphemer, hypocrite, vulgarian, domestic abuser & distracted driver. Maybe today she wanted to testify that he also didn't return library books on time and was a jaywalker.

Hope his blog w/her comments and her own blog (which creepily mirrors his postings) are both admitted into evidence and used against her. :please: Goldmine.

Watching her testimony again on HLN .. you just look at the photos of Travis and you know he was a good guy. She really should have gone down another route here. Bad bad strategy ..

  • #559
All the lies before she knew in the back of her mind there was always another chance to lie. Now, this is it. No more chances. End of hte road.

If JA is breaking at this point, Juan will only have to look at her and she'll be rubble.

Wish they'd hurry and resume testimony. I'm trying to hold off on eating the freshly baked brownies until it starts. About to have withdrawls here.
