When my 9 year old daughter passed away almost 2 years ago, the doctors gave her a large dose of morphine....by that time she had been in the PICU for almost 3 months.. They were pulling blood out of her ET tube. My husband and I called a meeting with the doctors and asked if she was ever going to able to live off of the machines (dialysis, over 15 medicine pumps etc.) He said no. When I asked what happened next, he told me that we could wait for her to die, or they could give her morphine and make her passing peaceful. Although it was the hardest decision we have made, and at the time it felt like we essentially took her life, it was also the best for her. She was a heart transplant patient and had lived a glorious life, but still the thought of waking up and her not being there is hard. I am so very thankful that she was not in pain anymore and passed peacefully instead of her family having to watch her suffer through the pain of death...

My thoughts are with all of those here who have lost someone. We may have lost them due to different circumstances, but the pain of losing them is still very much the same.

espciallyheather, I am so sorry for your loss. The loss of a child has to be extremely hard. Your decision although hard was so unselfish.

Well, we were all dreading the playing of the sex tape prior to yesterday...but I'd say it worked to Travis' advantage in the long run. I hope lease: Any juror with common sense can see she has lost all credibility. Playing it sure put some of the little comments into context and they sure sounded bland when put in the proper context.

I am still mystified why they wanted this tape played. I think Juan knows how to play mind games with the DT. He wants it out at first which would make them more determined than ever to want it in and then Juan stipulates to the entire phone sex tape coming in. Now I know why. :floorlaugh:

We not only learned that it was JA that brought the sex subject up first and everytime. Even interrupting TA when he was talking about something else. Its like she just couldnt wait for the sex talk.

We learned that Travis was very nice and sweet to Jodi. We learned he loved to sing and be happy.

We learned he had never masterbated before until he met Jodi.

We learned he did NOT like Spiderman and no mention of spidie shorts by either one.

We learned he grabbed her butt because of Abe. Didnt she just say it was the Dixon guy and not Abe he was jealous of?

Why Nurmi wanted to put that trash talk up said by Jodi first and then immediately go back to trying to make her look like an innocent angel blows my mind.

All of this 'Jodi is a perfect little angel being taken advantage by the big bad wolf' is blowing up in the DTs face. If anyone was trying to control it was JA. She knew he was tired and sleepy.........even falling asleep at one time near the end of the convo yet she kept chirping like a canary who wouldnt shut up.

BUT I am glad this tape was entered. Between her lies and this tape she is walking herself right onto death row.

At first I thought they probably wouldnt give her the death penalty because she is a young white female but no longer do I think that. IMO, they are going to know she is lying trying to throw her victim under the bus to save herself and they will be very pissed that she would be this cruel to the man who she has already destroyed in life. That is not going to bode well for JA.

Come on Juan and bring it home!

I am not a betting type person.. but if I were I would expect to see her on the stand today, tomorrow and at least one or maybe even two days next week

don't forget.. she will talk about the murder.. but she will also most likely talk about her utah trip, the car mats and red stain, and everything else in between.
