ITA - I was curious to hear the 12 year old girl comment, and to me it was so ridiculous that the defense would try to turn it into something sick. I really think all Travis meant by that comment was that JA sounded innocent and virgin-like when she moaned and it turned him on. I don't think he meant ANYTHING else. You could hear in his voice when she asked him to repeat it that he wasn't really sure he was using the right words - there was hesitation. The defense really blew it by playing that tape, big time.

Following up on the Defense's Opening Statement, we have now heard all of the big items in the Defense's arsenel (except one). We have heard about the little boys underwear, we have heard about the tree, and we have heard the 12-yo girl comment. It's all out there on the table now and we can all see how minimal it really is. If they had anything else big, we probably would have heard about it in the opening statement. The only thing left is the Defense's claim that Jodi knew that Travis planned to kill her that day and her only choice was to defend herself. Unless the Defense has any surprises up their sleeve, that is the only big item they have remaining.

I dont know if this has been talked about yet... I saw last night people posting about Ester (Esther) - I was watching JVM last week and there was a woman on her show named Ester who lived with Travis in 2005, she was down on her luck and he took her in. She said staying with him a "few days" turned into 30 days. She didnt allude to anything between her and TA, just that they were close and like BFF's - i will see if I can find a face for you guys...

I so agree! I still have the same girlfriends I had from Jr. High. That's many many many moons ago. I believe JA is not the type of female who can have/keep girlfriends. Or male friends either. I'm still friends with a few males from high school, one very good male friend I met at the school bus stop when I was 5 years old, he was 7. LOL so when I heard JA's said Travis was cheating because he had numbers in his phone belonging to females, I thought OH BOY!!!!

ditto what you said - i am still friends with 4 gal pals from 7th grade..
and 2 male friends from high school and 2 from college..
when people do not have OLD friends, to me it's a red flag...

I was MIA last night so pardon if this is kicking a dead dog, but I am hoping Juan will pounce on the fact that the tapes prove that *IF* there is any validity to TA sendin Jodi spiderman briefs, that it is JODI who professes her fondness for the movie and NOT Travis, who said he didn't even like it really. So it ended up appearing more like a joke between them in reference to the movie and FAR less deviant than Nurmi is trying to make it. He's shoving a square peg into a round hole with almost every claim of theirs - and the tapes yesterday painfully prove it.

While on the other thread (dorner) I was bouncing around from the scanner thread back to the other thread and one of the times on the scanner thread there was something mentioned about penetration I thought wow am I back on the JA thread. Where am I? LOL

If they are having an hour dely today, and not going to start till 11am. Is this 11am AZ time? TIA

This 12 year old comment is taken so out of context, it's not any different than calling your SO baby while having sex, do you literally mean you want to have sex with a baby, c'mom, she was acting like a 12 year old with her giggly gaudy immature voice/self, she was trying too hard, imo.

This tape is the first time she's been contradicted about anything in their private dynamic. Until now, JA has been able to say pretty much what she wanted about how he treated her.

If the defense claims TA was planning on killing JA how do they explain her taking pics of him in the shower. If one knows someone is planning on killing them, they do not stick around and take pictures...They run like hell. Killing him before he killed her does not make sense to me. Of course that doesn't prevent them from coming up with some far out story. JMO

I think she thought it would be snipped for only the "ugly" out of context things. I bet Nurmi promised her that after JM was able to snippet some of her interviews in his direct. Judge said all or nothing. Travis' family, God bless them, allowed all of it so that Travis could "testify" in the courtroom. That had to put her off her game.

I agree this could be a possibility, or perhaps the prosecution said they would bring the tape out if she mentioned anything from the tape in her testimony - as soon as she mentions an 'incident' that is on the tape the prosecution has free reign to pull it out. The DT knew they had to play that card first and come up with a story before the prosecution could present it in the rebuttal.

Or, the possibility of her believing the tape was leverage for a plea deal but that was dismissed and they decided they had to play it because their bluff was called. I think we all know Juan isn't going for that.

Reading the timeline after the 'call' --- I would not be surprised if the spiteful twit called him back and said, 'Thanks - I recorded it all - you are so done now.' Somehow, he became aware the call had been recorded. IMHO.

Honestly....NOT.SO.MUCH.

I was shocked only by the LACK of anything SHOCKING.

I mean a FANTASY about tying someone up to a tree is ummmm pretty vanilla in my book.

This is the reason that I believe he is not posing in the shower. I think she is forcing him to pose while holding a gun.
