She didn't need him to be an abuser or pedophile to ruin his image.. He was a very active member of the Mormon church so in my understanding just sex alone (not even kinky or funky sex) is enough black mail to completely tarnish his image and status within the church.. She may have recorded it to hold over his head..

Sent from my HTCEVOV4G using Tapatalk 2

She would be ruining her life at the same time because she's not suppose to be doing those things either. She said she told someone I think may have been from the church that she was having oral I can't remember if she told her it was with Travis and the women's jaw dropped. If she did do that, that women could have blown the whole relationship wide open. Why would she take that chance? Unless of course it was another lie.

My take away from the tape

Jodi, you wanted it played, you got it played, be careful what you wish for!!!!

Thank you! In the second picture, you can't even see his eyelids. He is obviously startled and I do believe fearful. I do not see anger. JMO

If that is his angry look, than I might need a facelift :P. I have always seen the second picture, as a look of fear. IMO

I don't think to the "general public" they will see this tape badly,it appears to me she is going to generate sympathy.. (Know that is not in the "popular belief" here). The general public doesnt follow cases so closely and are prone to base their opinion on their own life experiences...jmo only And yes I do think she is guilty..

Sympathy? But Travis wasn't mean at all on that tape. She was perky and flirty and suggestive. No sign of any abuse. What would make anybody feel sympathy for her in that tape? [ Not being snarky---just trying to understand.]

WEll I think she wanted only part of it played....the 12 year old girl part. NOT the whole thing and I don't think defense wanted the whole thing played either...IMO.

I have a small favor to ask all WSers:

I just spoke with my daughter and told her I was completely addicted to a local trial... she hadn't heard anything about it.

If I can get her interested, I was hoping maybe we could go to court together...

I'd like to send her a link (like to one of the 48 Hours episodes) but I don't know which would be the best one to send her (her attention span is... sporadic :) )- but she took some criminal justice courses in college and loved it. But she sounds dubious about this trial - how does one sum it up in a few texts?

I would love any advice anyone might have while I look, too. She doesn't have television, but she can watch anything that's available online.

TIA either way! :tyou:

Maybe that's the best link to send her and leave the ball in her Court. I know in my Family Unit Hubby will ask cursory questions. Just to be polite and share my interest. My Daughter will ask questions about a case she has heard of. My Son doesn't ask anything yet he as well respects my interest. They know I have attended some horrific Trials. Always willing to listen but i often don't say much. It's my gig. Not theirs and a mutual respect upon that. Recently there was a horrific Murder not far from us. Our Daughter and her Husband were out jogging that night one road over. New Years Eve. They are in marathon training. Daughter has asked me much and i see an interest. She is 32 so it's now her gig. Perhaps.

But she doesn't care about the Mormon church. She only got baptized so she could hold on to Travis and maybe marry him. She could care less if they knew she was having sex. JMO

Oh, that's horrible. I'm very sad to hear that, Bravo. When my dad was dying of cancer, and started to have pain, I called his doctor and told him I wouldn't stand for it. He told me if he gave him anymore morphine it would kill him. ??? I told him to authorize more morphine because there was no way i was going to allow him to suffer like that in his final days.

He asked me to try something else first, but he agreed to authorize enough morphine to, in essence, kill my dad. Many doctors actually do that when it is a terminal case. They just don;t talk about it.

Luckily, what he asked my to try first worked and my dad died very peacefully.

Sorry to get off topic. Hugs to you bravo. I;m sorry you had to witness that. It's not fair.

*Hugs to you as well for your loss* (I am happy to hear your doctor was able to suggest something humane and stop the suffering! That was the right thing to do!!!!)

Do you think that is why she was crying and crossing her arms today? I would think they would have gotten all that worked out during the evidentiary hearings.

Abe can't hold a grudge against a dead guy because he got info from a liar.

Thinks he would have bought her Batman underwear.

he called her quaker oats Mother Teresa...

Glad they played the tape it humanized Travis !

I'm sorry about your friend :/ *hugs to you*

Hugs back. Thank You. It was a huge Journey and learning curve. Best dang 42 years I ever shared with somebody. My sibs were much older so she was my sib. From age 6. It's all good. Now. It broke me for a bit. We get up dust off, move on,cuz we have too. Plus I know my dearest friend was kicking my azz from the Heaven's LOL So much why we can identify with Travis's Family. So many of us have lost those we love to crime or illness. We still share the pain of loss. No matter the circumstance.

Dr Drew said someone is coming on with a message from JA. Do you think this person is visiting often and relays media stuff to her? That can't happen right?? Then she could alter her testimony!!

She would have been better off using the tape instead of stabbing, shooting and cutting his throat.
