Gus on HLN says Jodi called him at 3:30 a.m. the night of June 4 or 5, 2008. Jodi was hysterical, crying that Travis was dead. Gus asked Jodi if she was okay, and she said yes. Gus asked Jodi where she was and she said in Northern California. He asked her if she needed help/ride, and she said she was going to rent a vehicle. He asked her what happened and she said she didn't know.

Gus says he called the DA at sometime, but he obviously didn't call the AZ police to do a Well Being Check. Gus wants into this case one way or another.

bet he writes a book

Man Jodi is one of those chicks that breaks up with a guy and is still talking about him 5 years later .. like her entire life is still all about Travis, it's freaking mad. I bet she's loving being asked question after question about him. She just loves talking about him all the time full stop.

Serious question I hope someone can answer:

Yesterday Jodi referred to Travis talking about sodomizing a little girl. She mentioned it in a kind of off-hand way, as if it was already something that had been testified about
Was there testimony or evidence about Travis talking about sodomizing a little girl -- or where the heck did this come from?

I wondered this myself! I have heard NO testimony alluding to that. Unless this is just something coming out of JA's mouth, which I don't consider to be the truth. Where is it coming from :waitasec:

You know ole Gus is full of poop.....no way JM let this info get past him....he know as we all do now, the guy is a fruit loop!

AH...that rhymed....now who's the poet Jodi?

If JA testifies that she took the gun with her to commit suicide in front of TA it will be laughable. How many times can she say she planned to kill herself? This is a woman who stabbed a man 29 times, slit his throat and shot him. Surely she could kill herself easily with all her premeditation and planning. Psycho.

I hate to mention this, BUT I'm thinking she already thought of this and laid the foundation. Sounds far fetched, but then again, that's Jodi:

If you'll recall in her interrogation interview when Flores leaves she put her head down and said, "I chickened out like a little b*tch!" What if she was going to do a murder/suicide but then decided not to kill herself???? Just sayin...

Your scenerio is quite plausible IMO. But I still think his blog on a gold digger was the final nail. He eluded to her and what she was all about. Jodi could imagine the gloves were off and Travis' threats, like going to his bishop, may be more than idle threats. IMO that was when Jodi decided Travis had to go.

This has been my pet theory since I read his blog post. Snap goes Jodi after reading "so, you DON't want to marr an axe murderer do you? Let's see if I can help with that."

It's like one of those jokes...what's the difference between a brick and a blonde? You lay a brick it stays there, you lay lay a blonde she follows you around for three weeks...

Unless, you are Jodi, she gets all rage aholic and kills you.

:banghead:

I know, but it's important.

Or, maybe it's not. But I would think the prosecutors would want to know.

Or...maybe they know enough already. Maybe they've already researched ol' Gus and know he's a confused ol' man who has his dates mixed up. I HOPE that's it.

In my ideal world, he'd be deposed, but never brought up on the witness stand to get his 15 minutes of fame. That's just me, LOL.

The way Juan dismissed him yesterday. Think they already have. He is seeking minute 16

Yeah, but he said that others may not come forward due to intimidation and I have felt that way all along. No PPL people will cross Chris and Sky Hughes, IMO.

I believe Gus. He sounded totally credible and objective, with the exception that I think he's confused about JA calling June 4th. I think she called June 9th when he was found by LE and therefore there was no reason he had to notify authorities of anything at the time. The date of TA's death was not known at that point in time.

Later when she was arrested, he thought LE should know that she said she was in NoCal when she called him, but he misunderstood that the killing had taken place days earlier. He thought the killing happened the same night as the call.

Remember Jodi called that other woman in Utah in the middle of the night crying hysterically, too. I think JA called them both the early morning of June 10.

Is he believable in regards to the person in the car with him being afraid of Chris Hughes? If so, why did he name that person on national tv then?

I believe she was referring to his comment in the phone sex call about sounding like a 12 y.o… Inserting a statement out of context, and elaborating the point. IMO - manipulating the jury.
She has done that a few times, i.e. "He pawned his car off on me" … or something like that, etc.

HAHA!!

You know this was a large part of Travis' problem, because he had very little experience he didn't know how to handle it .. he didn't see red flags in her clinging nature, he couldn't openly swap notes with his friends and say 'check out the psycho text I just got' etc .. because the sexual nature of their relationship was secret and because even their continued connection was secret. He was on his own with zero experience of how other women in a sexual relationship behave.

I think that whole thing goes back to the tying to the tree bit along with the Little Red Ridding Hood thing. Somehow it all got put together to be a little girl fixation. The defense put it all together for her and I think she said yes. Like all the rest of this testimony.

Sorry gals/guys, a little OT [head's up applied] here but I gotta ask/say:

Zuri, if you don't mind me asking, where did this happen in Pa? I'm intrigued now because I too live in [Western] Pa (have most all my 32 years). ;)

On another note, I want to say so sorry (to you Zuri) and my deepest sympathies go out to you in regards to what terrible thing happened to your brother... Great outcome though with what happened to his murderers & the punishment that they got (in the context of things & the situation that you had to deal with). It's so sad & nothing frustrates me more when someone takes another's life -in cold blood- & all that/those murderer(s) punishment(s) ends up being (for committing one -if not THE- WORST of all sins &/or things that one human being can do to another) is all too often a measely 10, 15, 20 years. Any punishment shorter than at least a mandatory 50 years -for killing in cold blood- is not a punishment IMO & is laughable really.
Thank god one of the great things about (the system in) Pa is that Pa usually doesn't play around when it comes to murder (unlike other states, specifically Florida [Pinellas County]). Last time I checked, Pa has the most child killers (juveniles who DO the murdering so what I'm saying here is not misconstrued) who have been tried &/or tried and convicted as an ADULT than any other state (by far). <-- Don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, but it goes to support why I say that when it comes to murder, Pa doesn't play around/take it as a joke.
West Chester, PA. Thank you for your kind words

i believe it was speculated that she got there @ 4ish.. but why would travis need to use a proxy to browse if they were both sitting there using the computer? We know that Jodi liked to break into his emails etc. Can the proxy be used to do this without leaving any trace that someone was snooping in your business? They said someone was checking emails. What kind of emails? PPl related or personal like messages from other girls etc? It makes me feel like Jodi was there going through his computer that night while he wasn't around. I can be wrong tho but I don't know.

Jodi is creepy enough that I don't put it past her to sneak into Travis's home thru the doggie door and while Travis lay sleeping got into his emails/blogs to see what she may have missed since she was on the road to his place. I think she wanted to make sure she didn't miss anything that could be problematic and maybe have to tweak her plans to kill him.

I figured it out last night. They are averaging approximately 9 hours a week on the trial. This is going to last into the Fall! :(

How can you accuse someone of sodomizing a child?! Unless one of the talking Heads twisted words?

Hey my fellow WSers!! I was at the gym this morning when I saw that Beth K. updated that there would be no Court today due to Judge S being sick (she did sound pretty crummy yesterday)!

I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a happy valentines day!! I must admit I'm a little happy there is no court today I'm now on my way up to California wine country for a long weekend with the husband. So now I won't miss any testimony or any of the intensely awaited cross!!

Have a good v day everyone!!
