Jodi and Casey are so alike. This is clearer to me after reading Jodi's latest letter.

Trying to appear so articulate and generous and kind and reasonable.....Oh what women! Not an angry bone in their bodies! Please!

It's the same old usual act. Yuck.

I just put it in my queue! Thx!!

(KatieCoo recommended Dear Zachary a few weeks ago. It's also on Netflix but don't watch it unless you have a clear calendar for a few hours because you WILL cry!!!! Excellent movie but I cried like a baby!!)

Oh good, I hope you enjoy it!

I have seen Dear Zachary a couple of times..it is just heart breaking. I love documentaries, if you ever have any other suggestions...send them my way!

How did you know I missed Sky in the hearing this morning. Thanks.

Is Sky Hughes going to be called for the Prosecution on cross?
Can anyone fill me in on what they think Sky's testimony could provide the State? Probably that the Hughes didn't want Jodi in their home anymore, I'm guessing.

From what I can figure Defense will ask why the Hughes had Jodi to their home, if they knew sex was going on in their Mormon home?

In general, I don't know much about why she wasn't on their lists before, and if she'll be called to testify for sure now. I'd appreciate if anyone can fill me in further.

BBM

You're welcome.

I missed Sky too as I thought the hearing was closed to the public, so didn't tune in until later.
I was happy to find the hearing was available to view. Glad the link was useful to you as well. :)
As for her being called back as a witness. I don't know if she will or not.

This couple knows a lot about the relationship. It's hard to understand why witnesses aren't called sometimes.

What about Gus? He was on DrD. He's saying Jodi called him the night she killed Travis and told him Travis was dead? What? That sounds far-fetched. So, why wasn't Gus the one that alerted police earlier? Oh, I don't understand, the man is weird, JMO.

re: comments about the stab wounds - i would have to think that the defense is going to explain all of the wounds away because she "lost it" and so therefore there is no logic to it, and any degree of violence can be justified because she was pushed over the edge.

i also wouldnt be surprised if she claims not to remember much/any of it beyond the beginning.

i cant imagine that this defense could lead to an acquittal, but i certainly am concerned that we are headed to a hung jury.

i wonder if the defense attorney thinks this is working for him, from where im sitting his strategy has completely backfired.

Listening to the sex tape was the first time I felt that the chances of a hung jury were slim to none. It made me believe she was likely to get the death penalty. Unless there is someone really crazy on that jury, there is no way she will walk or get a second chance at trial. IMO.

Can someone please tell me how tall Jodi Arias is and also how much she weighs? Thanks.

Weeeellllllll.....just browsing the state vs. Jodi Arias page. Abe posts there. He is claiming the HE never received the email from Jodi. If this is true, it is just as I speculated, she sent it to Travis only, to mess with his head. Why am I not surprised?

Why does the email that Jodi sent to Travis show "Delivered to: [email protected] and not Travis's email? Or is his email further up on the page where it is not shown?

BTW, I was thinking about the 'sex-tape' and was wondering if we know for sure the date of the recording? How do we know she didn't have it recorded and re-recorded it with a new date/time stamp? (I'm really second guessing everything at this point)

Oh, and I hope :please: Juan calls Abe to show/prove he never even received SWIWN's email (proof of her playing/toying/pulling all the tricks on TA). What a conniving, calculating beast.

I also hope Juan asks her about the type of flowers she sent to TAs Grandma, or can he?

Just how long has this "fan boy" known Jodi Aris? A few weeks? How long has it been public that her defense would be self defense?

I like how his answer to NG's question about how he met SWIWN (she who I won't name) was through his sister who is an abuse victim. Huh? So, another 'abuse victim behind bars'...two peas in a pod. I wonder if his sister's 'abuser' is also dead?

This is an interesting trial with so much evidence on one side, and so many lies on the other.

I have to get to bed so I can spend Valentines Day listening to Jodi complain about her sex dating woes.

Good Night :offtobed:

I agree - she should have fessed up from the beginning. Forget the "I was never in Mesa", forget the "Ninja" story, and tell the truth. I was in a rage because he was taking Mimi to Cancun and was never going to marry me. If I couldn't have him - no woman would.

She was determined to destroy him (IMHO), and by killing him before he could repent, was the end all be all. The ultimate humiliation.

I don't think any defense at this point, other than the absolute truth, would help Jodi out. I think if she told truth day 1, she may have avoided the DP charge. Big woopsie IMHO.

Again, MOO

That story could have worked except she has it on camera of him being in the shower from a further distance than in the position of her performing oral sex. And then seconds later dead (there's no way she could have started sex on him and then seconds later turn it to violence, imo). Also, if she started stabbing him, the wounds would have been really low (she would have been kneeling from performing sex). And he easily could have taken her down.

To me, the only plausible defense based on the evidence would be "Betty Broderick." She wanted to kill herself in front of him to show how he basically destroyed her life. Betty's first trial ended with a hung jury. However, she is now in Chowchilla prison smearing feces all over the wall in her little lonely cell. :-) May we be blessed with the same outcome for Ms. Arias.

So let me get this right....no one knows who was in the car with Gus???

I think he tried to plead the fifth on that. I wonder if he'll be called back or not.

The bigger mystery to me is who was in the kitchen with Dinah. The only evidence we have so far is that they were a banjo player. :waitasec:

I wish there could be an objection to the numerous story lines being repeated and repeated and repeated. Like John Dixon, Abe, etc. We've heard it. Countless times. Why keep going back?

We are annoyed and can get up and get a Diet Coke and stretch and make jokes. I can't imagine the jurors. It must be painful for them to sit and listen to this drivel.

I blame Nurmi for this. Sure, he has a whack job client, but he should have reeled her in 5 days ago and stuck to the questions. She is digging her own grave and he is giving her the shovel.

I think you're right. A courtroom tweeter reported a few days ago that a lot of jurors had stopped taking notes, IIRC. I don't know if it was just for that day or has continued. I think they've realized that there is nothing to write about because they are going to dismiss her testimony out of hand. JMO

Ok so the really angry message Travis sent to Jodi where he's telling her off for invading his privacy was on May 26. Jodi says it was in response to a message meant for Steve Carroll that she accidentally sent to Travis.

This was after they had several other ongoing fights that day about Jodi acting like a tramp. No doubt Jodi was trying to piss Travis off and make him jealous. There's no chance in hell she sent that message to Travis by mistake.

Anyway - May 26 was a BIG day, and this is apparently the day he told her to get lost and stay lost.

May 28 the .25 cal pistol is reported missing from Jodi's residence. Just saying' ....

Does not mean I could not administer the lethal injection, I could. Sad to say that but I would be fine. She is not ok in her head, she is dangerous. She did not just kill him, she leveled something on him that goes way beyond rage. Not even a heat of passion. It was like a psychotic break from reality. Anger and heat of passion, shoot him in the head. I don't even know what the experts would call what she did.
It wasn't a psychotic break, in my opinion. The amount of both premeditation and cover-up available in this case is totally at odds with psychosis.

While this is an especially cruel and brutal murder it really isn't different in definition to any other intimate partner homicide. An abusive personality lost control over their victim and raged as a result.

I want to state my reason for thinking the letter was creepy. It reads like this to me-- I know we are friends with benefits but you WILL give me more. I want more. Credit me in your work, it's my right! Recognise me. I demand you give me recognition! I'm not mad at you, but I just want you to tell people I'm your girlfriend, please, please, please.

Anyway, that's how it came across to me. Creepy stalker and wacko.
