So basically the jury discussions will boil to one thing, right?

If Jodi Arias killed Travis in self-defense why the almost 30 stab wounds? And how did she have the knife and gun with her so conveniently? That is all they need to ask themselves. That's it.

I hope that for the seemingly never-ending torture we're being subjected to by the defense that the jury will have a verdict within a few hours.

I fear the longer the jury is out the more likely a mistrial (hung jury) is. I really, really hope they come back fairly quickly...of course, not as quickly as P12 who didn't ask to see a shred of evidence and were more interested in getting home than finding justice.

Good Morning!

After a long day of "Jodisms" I usually don't want to hear or see anymore. At 7pm NY time, I switch back and forth from JVM and Two and a half Men. JVM screams to much, but I can tolerate her sometimes. NG? Ugh! But at 9pm if nothing else is on I'll watch Dr. Drew.

Last night on Dr. Drew Gus  Searcy was on.

Am I crazy, or did he say:

SEARCY: OK. Well, when this all first, when -- well, here is basically this. I said help or hurt. Here is the hurt part. When the night Travis died, I got a call from Jodi at 3:30 a.m. in the morning, crying hysterically that Travis was dead. When this happened, I asked her what happened, how she was, where she was.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1302/13/ddhln.01.html

"The night Travis died"???????

Did he mean the night Travis was found dead?

Coz if it was the night Travis died....wouldn't that be a "bombshell"??

Good Morning rose22.

I would imagine at first the jury will also be looking into if she truly was an "abused, battered woman" or whether she was a willing particpant in their sexcapades. And asking WHY, if she had no other ties to him besides sex, ie: she was not living with him, was not his domestic partner, was not dependent on him financially, did not have any children with him, and WHY if she lived miles and miles and miles away from him did she travel such distances to be with him???

And they should come to the conclusion that she was a willing participant and was a woman scorned and she went to his house, armed, after planning (pre-meditating) to kill him.

It would be a bombshell and he knows that. He is such a BS artist he would like all of us to THINK he got this call in the wee hours of June 5, 2008. I would bet good money this is not the case and the prosecutors office knew that from day one of the investigation, which is why they did not ever call him back.

The police were called over tire incident.

Tell the judge to let ALL the stalker stuff in!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, but at the time didn't Lisa say she suspected an ex- bf of hers was responsible? Did the police report state that JA was the tire slasher? Why does EVERYONE seemingly have some stalker ex in this circle of friends? Ashley thought her ex might have KILLED Travis, FGS! :what:

Also, I thought it was previously posted that there was no doggie door and that Mimi was mistaken? That confused me (not hard to do) because I thought the doggie door story was concrete prior to that. :waitasec:

Good morning all.

Coming out of a 3-year lurkdom to offer a possible new theory for everyone to chew on. Is it possible that some/all of the salacious emails FROM Travis TO Jody were in fact sent by Jody to herself? I’m not very technologically astute, but I’m pretty sure this could be done. She has said that she and Travis exchanged passwords, so wouldn’t it be possible for her to have a second computer/location to send these from under the ruse that they’re coming from Travis? Much of the sentence structure, grammar, etc., sounds very much like Jodi’s writing to me. She definitely seemed to have a plan in place when she drove to Mesa either to convince him not to go to Cancun or, failing that, kill him so that no other woman could ever have him. I know her original story was that she wasn’t even there when Travis was killed (Plan A), which morphed into the Ninja attack (Plan B), and this could have been her Plan C, to smear the victim.

I assume this avenue has been thoroughly investigated forensically, but ya never know. And perhaps it’s already been discussed at length here on Websleuths, but this scenario has been gnawing at me for the past couple of days.

To lend support to your theory: Travis' friends have stated online that Jodi was very often in use of his laptop. I think it's likely...I doubt though there'd be a way to forensically prove it, unfortunately.

I think smearing Travis, or threatening to, was a part of all her plans from at least May onward. Once she killed him everything she'd nefariously manipulated or engineered eventually was woven into her defense - with whatever else she could imagine that would cast him in a negative light. JMO

Welcome out of lurkdom!

People soak up minute, meaningless details about infamous, notorious people. If when he leaves the jail he documents everything, and with the help of a professional ghost writer or editor, etc., he could clean up. Probably whether she's found guilty or not. He could do a sequel from Death Row (If people still care at that point).

I think people would also be fascinated to read what Jodi has had to say throughout this trial, how she feels - he's on NG right now relating things for her.

Of course I could be wrong (I frequently am!) but I think my theory is at least a possibility. He wants nothing romantic, and even if he is genuine in wanting to be her hero - her only friend in this, wanting nothing in return - he could still make money from a book and a signing tour just before the holidays.

Guess we'll have to wait and see! :) I'll bet you a Toblerone over it (a virtual one) if nursebeeme doesn't needle me for saying that. :)

Mr. Carr would need a really, really good fictional writer. She talks for 20 minutes and says nothing. He'd have to practically live at the jail to get even a chapter down. She has been talking now for two weeks and what has she said. Nothing significant. Only thing we know for sure is that her injury is from cutting her tendon on her hand from the knife. She admitted that. Any doctor could verify that without looking at her hand by her description. We also know she and Travis were having sex. Big whoop. jmo

Hi and welcome out of lurkdom Coyote! :seeya: I think you are correct. She admitted writing then deleting "off for cuddle time with Jodi" on a text to someone. I don't know about the forensics of it, though. Casey Anthony faked "work" emails to herself, so I'm sure it's possible.

If you followed or remember the Casey Anthony case, she sent and received e-mails to herself frequently from her phoney employers.

:greetings:

I, too, have wondered about Jodi creating this whole exchange of texts and emails, and it was reinforced when Mr. Martinez appeared to be calling her on it. I wondered then if he was deliberately shaking her tree, letting her know he knew! We can but hope.
