I don't think JA could have in any way "destroyed" TA with her dirt. He would not have been excommunicated from the church nor would he have been fired from PPL.
TA would have been embarrassed and everyone would have been made painfully aware that JA was a creep.

I'm listening to every word of the Detective questioning her on July 16, 2008

There are areas (5:54) where question is asked, she answers and she gives a truthful answer, it's fast clear, concise. And there is no way she is lying (IMO) and it answers some things I wondered about.

Detective: Why would somebody do that? Just because you are there with Travis?

Jodi: They didn't say (she looks away - because she is lying, there was nobody else there)

Detective: What was the first thing they did to him? You were there, you saw it. What was the fir...(5:28)

Jodi: I actually didn't see it, I heard it........first (looking away still, Lie)

Detective: Was there an argument? (5:41)

OK let's analyze, he is on a line of very calm questioning, she is taking her time to answer and he wants to know why "they" killed Travis. Question to her was what was the first thing they did to him, you were there, you saw it. She corrects him to say she did not see it, she heard it. Now look, he says was there an argument. OBVIOUSLY CLEARLY HE IS ASKING IN HIS LINE OF QUESTION, WAS THERE AN ARGUMENT BETWEEN TRAVIS AND "THE PEOPLE THAT KILLED HIM?"

Detective: Any argument between anybody?

Jodi: Is there any way I can see those pictures? I just...

Ok so it pretty much tells me there was NO argument between her and Travis before he was shot/stabbed...no exchange (or fight) She blurts that out too easily and it sounded truthful. So she snap snap snap photo, then SHOOTS

He's disgusting. And, by the way, I don't believe a word he says. Under oath or otherwise. I would discount his entire testimony if I was a juror.

I'm sure someone has posted this already, but I came across it when I clicked a link earlier. I found this to be extremely telling having them in order and in real time! She claims that he wanted her to take pics because he had been working out, but most of them are dark and blurry, etc. She claims to be into photography and that's how she takes pics to show off his body? Ummm no. I've always doubted her story, of course, but seeing them put together like this pushed me further into believing he didn't even know she was there until that surprised pic.

Or.... IMO the only pic that looks "posed" to show off his muscles would be the profile one where he has his arms crossed over his chest (that pic is first) and possibly the first shot of his back. Maybe he let her take that pic and then she "left" AKA creeped through the closet and took pics of him without him realizing it. Those first two pics have decent lighting and the rest (before the face straight one) are super dark... turned off flash so he wouldn't notice her? Hmm..

Stuff like this bugs me and I know we'll never know the real truth!

Wow...watching these pictures in "real time" is nothing short of chilling to me. Thanks for sharing.

I was also angry at her for calling her sister dumb, stupid and letting the world know of her PERSONAL demons (drugs, abuse, etc). WHO DOES THAT?!??! oh yeah, JODI does!!!!! Cruel. Heartless. Evil.

Every single word coming out of her mouth is calculated, self-serving and rehearsed. What would you or I have said to explain? 'Yes, I regret that. My sister was having some personal issues at the time that I wasn't aware of, and I was thinking her behaviour silly.'

She deliberately espoused on that to reinforce her alleged terrible family life, and that's exactly why Nurmi asked her about it. Just so she could remind the jury once again. Grrrrr! :banghead:

I think it was a huge deal to Travis. The church, not so much. After all, every church is made up of meer mortals and humans make mistakes.

I think it's fairly standard protocol for either side to subpoena the phone company directly for the text records - I highly doubt Juan did not get all texts in question directly from Verizon or AT&T or whatever carrier they both used. However, if she "staged" his texts, the carrier would have official record of the texts havin been exchanged and it would "legitimize" her claim.

Slightly OT- many, if not most, carriers only keep texts for a limited amount of time. I think Verizon keeps them 3 days. Depending on who the carriers were, the texts may have been gone by the time Travis was found.

In cases where the carrier doesn't have preserved texts, you can have a forensic person recover them from the actual cell phones.

I agree. That's why I don't think she intended or attempted 'blackmail', but planned a smear campaign to cause him terrible pain and embarrassment. Revenge!

When that part of the tape came, she looked up and looked sad for a minute. Here her sister has been supporting her ridiculous claims and there she is stabbing her in the back like its nothing. Her sister looked hurt as well. To rehabilitate herself to the jury she had to disclose her sisters business. I believe she meant exactly what she said about her sister. Also, she talked about Travis making fun of her brother for being gay (I don't buy it) Jodi testified about a gay man warning a girlfriend that jodi was coming to confront her, she made a negative comment about his response and attributed it to him being gay..

How would Travis know about Jodi's brother's sexual orientation? Did Travis even meet her family? The only way travis would know about her brother is if she told him, and by the way she described the gay man I don't think it was nice. She talks badly about others.

I agree - the context of the "dumb" remark was in Jodi's assessment of her sister's naivety to sexual references (clearly her sister is not the trashy that Jodi is) and that has *nothing* to do with whether someone has an addiction. DUH.

Mine's a a pipsqueak in comparison - a 75 lb lap dog, 90% of which I think is shedding fur. I swear - he sheds enough for 3 dogs combined. His only flaw imv.

Hehe, "pipsqueak" !! I think it's priceless that the big ones think they are lap dogs and yet my littlest one (6 lb chihuahua) will take on the biggest dog in the room if you get near her food! She is fearless and thinks she about 100 lbs!!
