Her lies flow so plentifully, we're now all confused. I think Nurmi is using her lies to confuse and befuddle.

Yes - ITA - that, and to create some illusion that this relationship between JA and Travis was far, far, far longer, and more in depth than it ever truly was!
I have known friends that had personalities like I believe Travis had - That entirely magnetic type of personality that was always fun & loving, and always surrounded by friends; long standing friends for that matter. He probably always appeared happy-go-lucky, gave a lot of his time and energy to his friends, and we have seen that he was a life of the party type… Not shy at all!
I believe JA overestimated their relationship because she is the opposite of this. She is ultimately selfish and has no real perception or intuition into anyone's life, personality, feelings, or relationship.
Example: She tells Travis in the phone call that she thinks her Sister is stupid, but later says she found out that her Sister was going trough drug addiction, a bad break-up from an abusive relationship, etc. I know… what JA says lends no credence to the truth, BUT, *who* would not know their own sister enough to question more personal matters before concluding they have become "stupid"?
JA's (psychotic) focus was solely on Travis, while Travis had his hands in *many* friend's, family's, and more personal relationship's on a consistent basis. JA just had a foot in the door, per se, in playing the sexual card.
What a tragedy that Travis, in his sexual inexperience(?), didn't have the insight to cut her off, and kept going back for more of what he believed JA was "totally game for" (a JA-ism), and believed their sex games were on equal playing ground.
I mean I know there was more to it than this… Conflict with Travis's religious beliefs, and definite conflict of personalities, conflict in her actions, in which he kept trying to cut her off, but the main bait being the sex card she played is where he fell prey quite literally.
We do not have his words… Besides murdering him, she stole his journals, she manipulated their communication (EX: JA: "I don't know why all of Travis's (text message) responses are missing?" from the texts she was reading during testimony) by hacking into all of his accounts: social, phone, and who knows what else.
I hope the jury does not think her bad fiction is as bad as I think it is! I hope this DV expert doesn't lend to validating or humanizing this atrociously awful fictitious spinning of lies.
This all, MOO ramblings, of course….
