Bullet "may have" passed through part of the front lobe (front lobe is well, not overly needed if we remove the whole thing) I don't think one is fully incapacitated even if a bullet went through the front lobe. If shot in the head, that would not be the worst place to take the bullet, but they are not sure, conclusively that that front lobe was touched by the bullet.

ifww i think the shot was last after he was dead to make it look like there was more than 1 attacker.

And in the photo sequence Travis is alive, then 30 seconds later he is NOT standing, he is down and there is blood running down the neck and shoulders. You don't get blood running down your neck and shoulders from a stab wound to the heart.

I find his theory 200% impossible

Can you link to the pic. I think the last pic is of him "sitting" and then the ceiling, then the dragging, and finally the corner of the wall or something. In the pics I saw of him sitting I didn't see any blood in the shower. The first time we see blood, he's being dragged, this is when its believed his throat was cut

You do get it from a slit throat and Horn agreed with Martinez that it depicted blood coming from the neck wound.

It is not possible for someone to maintain consciousness immediately after a high velocity projectile penetrates the brain.

But Horn testified that it was likely Alexander was stabbed in the heart first, tried to defend himself, then had his throat slit, killing him. Then, Alexander was shot in the head.

Horn's theory is in conflict with other experts theories.

------

If Horn testified Travis was stabbed in the heart first, that was a fatal stab wound, this is why I can't believe he said that. If you stab him in the heart, he goes down, he does not come out and try to fend her off, he dies right there. This is why there is still much confusion between even the experts.

Horn said he would not have died right away where this stab landed but would have died from it (I think he said in minutes, or would have become incapacitated within minutes) Whereas the throat wound and head wound would have incapacitated him within seconds. IIRC

O/T

We have a chihuahua (about 3 lbs.) and a bulldog...about 100 lbs. and the chi is most definitely in charge!! LOL It is too funny to watch.

Awwwwwww!!!!!!!! So sweet. Yeah I've read heard that many Chihuahuas are convinced that they're about the size of a large grizzy - and are more than willing to let everyone know about it. :)

Love 'em.

I don't know why Nurmi wanted to know the reason why JA called her sister a name. What does that have to do with her murder trial?!! I felt bad for Angela and of course the camera had to pan to her to catch her reaction.

That said, Angela Arias has a public Myspace where she talks about her life, addiction and getting baptized. She is happy she is getting her life back together. She talks about that and JA on her Myspace blog Oct. 11, 2008.

I am just disgusted with Nurmi asking her about the comment about her sister..low blow Probably trying to drag the case out longer than it needs to be. :moo:

I disagree. I think JA probably pulled a "I'm not going back on that stand unless you find a way to publicly apologize to my sister for having that WHOLE tape played where she could hear that I called her dumb"

I love my lil rescue Chi-dogs.

There's a Chi-specific rescue near Phoenix if I recall, no? They're so cute... it breaks my heart when they're puppy-milled and are born with/develop brain problems etc.

Over/improper/heartless breeding of any dog breaks my heart...

Hey, do we need a DOG thread? :) I could hear and talk about them all day.

Are you going to court next week? I don't even know which building/floor it is - or what the protocols are (if any)... I'm trying to work up my courage to go. :)

Or he realized what a two faced DB his client looked like and was doing damage control.

I think Jodi had a problem keeping Jobs. If you listened to her testimony it seemed like she was switching jobs left and right. For every event of abuse she seemed to have a new job. Go back and listen (If you can, I can't lol) but see how often she mentions all these jobs. I don't know if she was fired but someone with this chaotic job history raising flags..Also check into her DB days when she stopped paying rent...etc.

I, too, think that Jodi was frequently quitting or getting fired from all these supposed jobs that she held. With all of the driving she did hither and yon, trips, PPL conventions, weekend sexcapades, frequent moves, etc., I think it's safe to say that Jodi was most likely an irresponsible, unreliable employee who took advantage of her employers to get more time off than she deserved, work the shifts that she chose, etc. Like everything else in Jodi's world, she worked when she wanted to work, on her terms, and didn't keep a job if she didn't get her own way, or the job interfered with the other things going on in her life. :moo:

Her lies flow so plentifully, we're now all confused. I think Nurmi is using her lies to confuse and befuddle.
(Snipped with respect)

Yes - ITA - that, and to create some illusion that this relationship between JA and Travis was far, far, far longer, and more in depth than it ever truly was!

I have known friends that had personalities like I believe Travis had - That entirely magnetic type of personality that was always fun & loving, and always surrounded by friends; long standing friends for that matter. He probably always appeared happy-go-lucky, gave a lot of his time and energy to his friends, and we have seen that he was a life of the party type… Not shy at all!

I believe JA overestimated their relationship because she is the opposite of this. She is ultimately selfish and has no real perception or intuition into anyone's life, personality, feelings, or relationship.

Example: She tells Travis in the phone call that she thinks her Sister is stupid, but later says she found out that her Sister was going trough drug addiction, a bad break-up from an abusive relationship, etc. I know… what JA says lends no credence to the truth, BUT, *who* would not know their own sister enough to question more personal matters before concluding they have become "stupid"?

JA's (psychotic) focus was solely on Travis, while Travis had his hands in *many* friend's, family's, and more personal relationship's on a consistent basis. JA just had a foot in the door, per se, in playing the sexual card.

What a tragedy that Travis, in his sexual inexperience(?), didn't have the insight to cut her off, and kept going back for more of what he believed JA was "totally game for" (a JA-ism), and believed their sex games were on equal playing ground.

I mean I know there was more to it than this… Conflict with Travis's religious beliefs, and definite conflict of personalities, conflict in her actions, in which he kept trying to cut her off, but the main bait being the sex card she played is where he fell prey quite literally.

We do not have his words… Besides murdering him, she stole his journals, she manipulated their communication (EX: JA: "I don't know why all of Travis's (text message) responses are missing?" from the texts she was reading during testimony) by hacking into all of his accounts: social, phone, and who knows what else.

I hope the jury does not think her bad fiction is as bad as I think it is! I hope this DV expert doesn't lend to validating or humanizing this atrociously awful fictitious spinning of lies.

This all, MOO ramblings, of course…. ;)

Is that different than a normal pen?

Yes...a freaking pen is a pen that I want to grab off of the screen in order to poke through my eyeball!! :D

When did the wrecked car thing happen?

I just mentioned this to a coworker who told me she hopes this is not the case because her lawyer just subpoena'd AT&T for her ex-hubby's text message content from this past Fall when he was sending death threats and they are now in litigation. I would think the lawyer wouldn't waste his time if this were not possible but I could be wrong. Will be interesting to see what happens

Her lawyer may have preserved the records a while back because he figured he would eventually get a subpoena. Your coworker call call the Legal Compliance Dept at AT&T and ask them how far back they keep text content. http://www.search.org/programs/hightech/isp/ Hopefully, their policy has changed recently. If that doesn't work, she can try to get his cell searched by a professional with EnCase or a similar program. I wish her luck.

The question posed above is interesting. Most observers of this case will conclude that JA is a psychopath. But actually little historical characterological information has been forthcoming in the defense testimony or on talk shows. She “successfully” lived with a man for over 4 years!!!! That takes some skill in navigating conflict and negotiating compromises. Nobody to my knowledge has stated that JA was frequently caught in lies – ala Casey Anthony.
Most people simply say that she evoked a certain”creepiness” and that she had a “blank soulless stare”. A lot of former acquaintances say she was very “private” and rarely talked about herself or discussed any of her problems.
She obviously was highly skilled in creating an evocative sexy persona which would be attractive to males and a total “turn off” to females.

BUT to my knowledge she:
*Never broke the law
* never was arrested ie no DUIs no shoplifting etc
* was never fired from her food service jobs (???)
*paid her bills as best she could
*owned a car
*successfully held and used a credit card and a cell phone
*was never “jilted” or shunned by all her prior male suitors.

So it would seem- correct me if I am wrong here!!! – JA never demonstrated past behavior which would be characterized by a forensic psychologist as “psychopathy” or “sociopathy”!!!

Either did the "golden boy" Scott Peterson before he murdered his wife and unborn son and dumped them in the SF Bay.

I don't for one second think that was Nurmi's idea at all.

To me it was very transparent that Jodi orchestrated that "public groveling".

I think it's highly demonstrative of Jodi's manipulative nature to stage an insincere (not to mention further damaging) apology knowing such an apology would be required to keep stringing her family along for support.
