Yes, I think it was premeditated and I think the State can prove she brought the gun, but not the knife -- regardless of whether she brought both. I wasn't speaking to whether she actually brought a knife. I was speaking more to what the State has a better chance of proving. Imo, what they can best prove is premeditation with a gun and things not going as planned, so resort to the knife. Which is the same reason I question the State's insistence that the stab came first. Apparently, they thought they needed that order for the dp qualification, but turned out they didn't. Now they're stuck with a stabbed first case where the strongest evidence of premeditation is with a gun, not a knife. jmo
