I wanted to mention something that I read in the last thread about TA being unable to fight if he was shot first. That's not entirely true because I had a friend who was shot point blank in the face at an intersection while at a red light. He DROVE himself home! I can't imagine how one does this, but my DH who is a doctor of Physical Therapy said he was most likely in shock and adrenaline helped him do it. So I think he could have been shot in the face and then tried to fight her off.

And me, being from California (just outside of Los Angeles) gang members are notorious for being shot in the head, sometimes also multiple body shots (the car is literally full of holes) and they drive all the way to County General, maybe 3 to 10 minutes then collapse. Some die right there, some drive 5 minutes and die at the wheel after crashing into a tree...Others make it to E.R.

Travis lived only 3 to 4 minutes after the initial whatever she did. That is not long within the scope of what I have seen happen. And to those who think it was impossible to carry on even 1 moment after a shot to the temple, downward to the cheek, it could take him even moments to realizes there was a shot, and the M.E. said that shot to the head was a shot he could survive.

If you are able to survive the shot he took to the head, then why is it so hard to believe in a low to the ground shower, if he is down and shot in the head, all he did was moan/scream, crawl out a few feet? Nobody said he jogged around the block.

A few feet...maybe even grabbed the vanity and clumsily pulled himself up, not even all the way, just so his face was at sink level, and she got him again. Blood is everywhere.

I am not sure how it happened, but if the big neck slice that almost decapitated him, was said to be first, then I would never believe he lived but about 10 seconds. That is the only thing I am "positive" about.

I do not "like" Travis. I don't think he deserves the pedestal he has been placed on, at all. He
is a total jerk in my opinion. However, complete jerks have every protection under the laws not to be murdered.

Did you know Travis or are you basing you "opinion" on the murderer's testimony and sex tape. Just curious??

  • #903
I think Travis was fully responsible for his own actions, and he thought he knew what he was doing.

As did JA, IMO.

  • #904
My dislike of Travis' behavior has nothing to do with Jodi or her testimony. I don't like the deceitfulness. I like to stay away from people with rape fantasies, if I can, and the 12 year old girl orgasming comment made me sick.

I have dreams and fantasies which I have never, and would never act upon! that to me is human and would depend upon your individuality. if I were to have it made public all my thoughts and fantasies, and be judged on them as if I would act on them, I would have been locked away for life.

I just want to share this with you all...it is a perfect example of another JA jmo Very scary.

Who wrote that? :waitasec:

I think Nurmi/Wilmott believe that her lengthy testimony will convey to the jury that she was eager to testify because:

  1. She has nothing to hide,
  2. She is meek and mousy,
  3. She reserves emotional expressions for coached moments,
  4. She is entirely incapable of initiating violence, responding with it only in desperation-survival mode,
  5. She is emotionally scarred and deeply wounded (abused child/woman card),
  6. She is a mentally imbalanced societal misfit due to (5) above and therefore thoroughly pitiable.

All of her lies and prior fictional tales to LE and media left her and her team with nothing else.

Moreover, if the jury sees her as a pathologically lying murderer (who doesn't?) then the victim status they seek to establish in the jurors' minds will mitigate her guilt down to a lesser mandatory sentence; i.e., LWOP or even LWP.

Oooo...good one! I think you're right.

I agree! I once dated someone and about the forth date, over dinner he ,says all calmly and out of the blue.. That he liked when, during sex, his partner struggles!
I got the heck outta there and never spoke to him again!

Good for you. I once dated a guy I was starting to like and on about our 5th date -also over dinner in a nice restaurant-he starts telling me also just out of the blue that when we do start having sex he's is going to "make me feel like a little 🤬🤬🤬🤬". I said I need to go to the ladies room. Called a girlfriend and LEFT. Did not take his calls anymore.

I think Travis was fully responsible for his own actions, and he thought he knew what he was doing.

And he didn't do anything wrong. So he should not be dead

A couple of weeks ago when I posted that he had something of a <modsnip> about him, I got slammed by several people saying this is a victim friendly forum! And not to post anything negative about him! So now it's ok to say he is a<modsnip> where are the this is a "victim friendly forum" police? ha hah

I sure hope our Juan asks her all about this! Talk about remorseless, cold-hearted murderer who is very much "in the mood" less than a day after slaughtering Travis, her EX-boyfriend.

Yes, I expect he will be emphasizing this. Didn't she call Ryan about 11:30pm or so that same date, which would be about 6 hours after she s l a u g h t e r e d someone she has known intimately, and she acts fine on the phone, just with excuses of why she's running behind.

If she hadn't planned on killing him, I would think she'd be a emotional mess just hours after such a horrible situation. I'd expect Juan will be bringing that back to the jury's attention, hopefully many times.

If she were normal, of course.

She had her backpack and I believe it contained the clothes she wore to her boyfriend in Utah, when she ran downstairs and threw things in the washer she undressed and changed clothes, and put her bloody clothes in the backpack with the gun and the knife and left.

I think the backpack has the weapons and her bloody clothes and they may have burned along the trip to Utah (she has gas cans with gas) or she buried them along the way, OR put them in a dumpster along the way, and I figure we may never find that backpack.

Would there have been some blood transfer to the car? I know the mats were missing, so I am assuming some was there. I am puzzled as to the immediate aftermath, and how she got rid of the blood on her, and where she got the bandages for her hand?

yes, so my guess she was cleaned off leaving his house except shoes, so she dumped the mats

Do you know if the bullet passed through the brain? I read this case one time about a couple who were bashed horribly in the heads with a hammer while sleeping. The man got up and was so disoriented, he started making his lunch to take to work. He collapsed in the kitchen. But, I also think I understand that a bullet is a small explosive force that devastates the brain even where it did not pass through.

How awful for your friend. I hope he's doing well today.

We’re not about to dissolve a friendship that was firmly formed almost 2 years ago (likely before that in the grander scheme of things, aka: the Pre-Existence).

snipped and bbm

She does drone on and on and on and on and on......even in a e-mail.....sheeeesh

This part is scarey for me.:twocents:

Yeah, but there you go, she did NOT say she SENT it to Abe, only that she "composed"it to Abe.....she SENT it to Travis, and Abe claims to never have received it.

With her "ultra tech savvy" adding "Re: Re:" before the actual subject. She's so crafty! I'm a Network, IT Engineer.... She really could have sold me on that. (P.S. my mother who thinks she's won a free iPad daily would have scoffed at this lol!)

I thought it was only in recent times that girls began puberty at 12, 13.
I thought it used to be common for puberty not to begin until age 15 16?

Go back to prehistoric times. A 12 yr old was a sexually mature adult (biologically-speaking). Of course the average lifespan was probably around 30 yrs old at that time too.

So biology has set the stage and it's coded in DNA. Despite what societal mores have evolved to, a menstruating female is not considered a child--not biologically speaking. Pedophilia is someone who is attracted to children--i.e. not sexually mature boys and girls (who by definition would not be considered children biologically-speaking). Legally, yes. The age of 18 is considered the age of consent and yes I understand that.

I'm only talking from a biological standpoint. So (biologically-speaking) a male finding a young woman attractive is not deviant. However, laws and societal norms do create an extended childhood, even if biology says otherwise. Someone having a first orgasm could be considered sexually of-age (again, only biologically-speaking). I'm not excusing TA's comment, but I do see the other side of it and why it might not be quite as heinous as some make it out to be.

My aunts Mother had her 1st baby in Italy at the age of 13. I remember thinking her oldest daughter was her sister until my mom told me how old my aunts mother was when she had Consetta. I think the only thing age has to do with what Travis said is Arias talked baby talk at times especially this phone call where she was setting him up so she had something to ruin him with to PPL and his church. The so sorry act she is playing is so obvious. When she is acting matter of fact with some of Nurmi's questions I think is her real self. I bet she didn't talk babytalk the years she was giving her parents a bad time in her teen years. I would have smacked her too if she was out all night and gave flip answers as a mid teen.

Keep in mind this "part" of him some don't like emerged after he was getting scared, concerned, not knowing what to do with this woman.

If he was what some call him, he would be like this in general and the opinion of him formed by dozens of people would reflect that.

This side of him is a complete shock to everyone that knew him, even his roommates had no idea what was going on behind closed doors.

Heck, he was dead in his shower and they went about their business thinking he was out of town (thanks guys) :-) kidding...

Each is entitled to their opinion, I happen to think his character, the one described by the masses is the accurate person. Not what we see happened when he met Jodi.

First off I'm a moron I posted this in legal questions :waitasec:

I just went back and listened to the 2nd interrogation. I've always thought there were large bits of truth mixed in with the ninja story. I came away with a couple things.

Detective Flores was probably the only person on the planet that is not surprised she has been on the stand so long. And he has the patience of a saint.

I think her making the girl ninja the aggressive one is telling but i'm not smart enough to know how exactly.

And this last one might get me in trouble but when she said the girl ninja wanted to kill her I was thinking, yes please!! Can you do it now?

And she watches way too much tv.

Days 6 & 7?

How do you suppose JA got out of the house, probably covered in blood, unnoticed by anyone? Has the backpack or purse ever been found?

For all I know she could have parked in the garage, although doubtful, as her careful pre-planning probably called for an unimpeded getaway.

She testified that TA didn't want his friends and acquaintances seeing her vehicle(s) anywhere near his house.

Like most guys, TA wanted the sex. But it's also clear in this case that he ultimately didn't want Jodi. In fact, sex is the ONLY thing he wanted from her, other than the admiration/compliments which she used along with the sex to just barely keep herself in his life.

BTW, I believe that the photos were a regular thing with the two of them, followed by deletion each time. This is why JA thought that digital file deletion was sufficient to erase any record of the pictures; i.e., if she couldn't see them on her camera/computer then they must not exist anymore. The washing machine was just extra insurance to her. You can be sure she's been regretting that slip-up like no other.
