I have alegal question... If it can be proven JA carried the weapons across state lines, can that affect her sentence? If so, how?
The operative words are "if it can be proven" which it can't. The only possible ramification would be a Federal matter (charges) such as interstate transportation of stolen weapon(s)....*if* she was in possession of the gun "stolen" from her grandparents house and it was indeed stolen. Having the knife in her possession wouldn't be illegal. No weapons, no charges, and no it wouldn't affect her sentence.
