I have alegal question... If it can be proven JA carried the weapons across state lines, can that affect her sentence? If so, how?

The operative words are "if it can be proven" which it can't. The only possible ramification would be a Federal matter (charges) such as interstate transportation of stolen weapon(s)....*if* she was in possession of the gun "stolen" from her grandparents house and it was indeed stolen. Having the knife in her possession wouldn't be illegal. No weapons, no charges, and no it wouldn't affect her sentence.

MOO

THis is it, I believe: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF85 sunblock.
The BNS - Bonus

Which makes me wonder if she wasn't buying for a trip to Cancun, just in case.

LOL...She will NEVER see

Cancun...:floorlaugh:

goosh i am getting mean.

Me too! I'm also notorious for going in a store to buy ONE thing and end up leaving with a cart full of stuff I didn't even know I needed.. Only to get home and realize I forgot to purchase what I went there for in the first place!

Those dang end caps and SALE signs...

I have the same problem with Trader Joes and Costco who offer a variety of food & beverage samples so delicious or cost effective I often buy one for me and one for a friend or relative LMAO! :great:

Of any evidence seized from the grandparents' house, her family's house, the 2nd rental car, only the credit receipts have been put into evidence. All other evidence so far has been from the crime scene.

I wonder if Martinez will be introducing any other evidence from those 3 locations.

I'm not including e-mails and text messages, but I would like to see Martinez use some for his cross as well.

Martinez brought out exactly what he needed to prove the charges during his C.I.C. Unless there's something specific he needs to use for rebuttal purposes, I don't think we'll see any additional items from those 3 locations--why muddy the waters? He's already proved his case. Whether the jury agrees remains to be seen.

Have we heard from a single female friend of Jodi's? She doesn't seem to have any, which is very telling, imo.

One for herself and one for her imaginary travelling companion?

A burger for Jodi, a burger for Gus.
Face soap for Jodi, Face soap for Gus.
Sunscreen for Jodi, Sunscreen for Gus.

I think they require a credit card in case you damage the car. Also, here in Texas the toll roads don't accept cash anymore. If you have a rental, the tolls get charged to the credit card associated with the rental.

Not 100% true. Im in Houston and we still have cash tolls.

Also, I have rented a car using my debit card, as I have NO credit cards (thank God!) and this was in the past year, MAYBE 2.

It makes me so sad that Travis didn't get to go! He would have loved it. The Yucatan is my favorite place in the whole world.

Well my blood pressure sure didn't need that today. Good grief. :banghead:

I used to work with a tin basher who sliced his finger on a piece of sheet metal, it cut one of his finger tendons and he could no longer open and close his finger properly. It was permanently bent like JA's.

I think she sliced a tendon during the attack and didn't want to go to the hospital where they would ask questions.
Several years ago I was opening a coffee can with an old, stiff manual can opener, the metal top got away from me, and I managed to slice my 'social finger' right below the first knuckle pretty good. It bled and bled and bled and yes, the tendon was cut. I wasn't able to get it looked at and fixed right away and yes, it was somewhat crooked, but nothing like her demonstration. When I placed my hand on a flat surface, though, it flattened out like nothing was wrong. I am convinced like many here that she sustained a cut tendon during the knife attack and never sustained a broken finger. :liar:

ITA!

It seems as though the TH's comment each day and their interpretation is of that day only. As a result, their commentary see-saws back and forth until we have a break. If we're lucky, one TH will tie the current day's testimony to the trial as a whole, and then we get a more balanced point of view.

I also cringe at some of the basic lack of knowledge of the case by some.
BBM

I am positively AGHAST at the level and amount of shoddy reporting so much of the time! There is simply no reason or excuse for that at all, except pure laziness. And once misinformation gets reported by the MSM, it's a herculean feat to convince someone otherwise (and not just about the stuff we talk about here). One of my biggest pet peeves! :furious:

was that live? or are they replaying it over and over and over again from last week when he was on TruTV and Dr. Drew?

I really think it's irresponsible of the media not to do a bit of fact checking first. Or at least question him, rather than let him spew it out. They are allowing it to continue, it's silly IMO.

I agree. I was so disappointed in the Dr Drew staff when he turned up there. And when he showed up on JVM the next day, I couldn't believe it. Minimal fact checking should have prevented his appearances. If the shows were desperate for a witness to be on, they show have clarified the timeline first thing out of the gate.

Yes keeping it simple works best. IMO

Just her new girlfriends in jail :jail:

....maybe she bought the sunblock because she thought she might be able to sway TA to take her to Cancun with him ......
Maybe she had planned to kill him if he didn't agree....
She seemed to thrive and obsess about travelling with him....
It could have been, in her twisted mind, the outcome of TA's life or death...just maybe?

Perhaps she brought the sunscreen to use on his new girlfriend in Cancun, but had laced the sunscreen with acid?

Then again, she brought a gun and a knife to kill him right then and there, so she always knew that he would not get to Mexico.

A better theory is the same as a young guy going to buy condoms for the first time. You wind up purchasing all sorts of other things and just add the condoms to the whole purchase so it doesn't stand out as much as just getting condoms and nothing else.

Did not know that. I'm in Austin, and January 1, no more cash.

If she actually wrapped her fingers with tape and popsicle sticks, would it really be so bent as she is trying to make it look? If one went to the trouble to try to splint it, wouldn't you have straightened it better than how she is showing it looking all bent? I'm sure she has been practicing holding it so that it looks damaged.

I am double-jointed in my fingers and can make them look like that - and I have never had an injury to my fingers.

I think 2008, but I fear we may be hearing, "Let's back up" :giggle:
