I am super curious who this Christina Lopez is, especially since she had to make an in court identification.

Wonder if Christina Lopez is a hair colorist who dyed JA's hair at a questionable juncture.

I doubt she would go 30 minutes away to Salinas and then come back. I think she said that to pass her time frame and try people off. I think she probably did it near where she was.

She admitted that is where she had her nails done and told JM it took a couple of hours because they were busy. Don't think she intended to drive back to Darryl's. She took off with something belonging to him, it appears. jmo

I am confused about the door situation. We have heard that the doors were never locked, and also that his friends knew the code to the door entering through the garage. I lean more towards the doors being locked except his friends knowing the code, and the possibility that the sliding door was opened enough to act as a doggy door (I have done that as well), or had one in it?

The real estate listing photos for the house showed a doggy door panel of the type that extends the full height of the slider. I've never installed one, but I've seen them. I think you leave the slider open the width of the doggie door and the entire doggie door panel fills the gap.

Didn't she drive 90 miles out of her way for gas or gas cans can't remember which? Then drove 1,000 miles to murder someone so 30 min is a drop in the hat for her.

IMO Peeping has a more negative connotation than the other words, as in "peeping tom".

Yep. It's funny in the last ten minutes of her cross JM starts on her journey to Mesa. Says to her something like, "isn't it true that when you made your trip down from Yreka to kill Mr. Alexander, you stopped in the Monterrey area, didn't you?"

She gets a bit flustered and says "I can't answer that question the way it's phrased"

moo she will continue to be flustered. jm may be the only person that is totally prepared for ja. i do not think in her life she has come across anyone that she has not controlled. parents, boyfriends, lawyers all hanging on her words. no jm has her number and he will dial it again and again i would think his experts have told him how to deal with her and it seems to be working. smiling, arrogant, making faces she is playing into jm hand. :moo:

On direct Nurmi shows a picture of Jodi with the dog, supposedly taken May 15, 2008:

Her hair looks blond to me, although Nurmi describes it as brown. He asks if her hair was similar when she rented the car, and she says yes.
Nurmi asks if she changed her hair color from that pic above until she was at Travis' June 4, and she says she dyed it brown while she was in Mesa and dyed it darker brown later, but doesn't say when:

She later testifies that she dyed it brown on March 20, 2008, even though Ryan first met her in April 2008 and it was blond:

Later, Nurmi asks Jodi what color her hair was when she left Pasadena for Mesa, and she says auburn brown.and she says she did not stop to dye it along the way.

So it was blond in Redding, auburn brown when she was in Pasadena, but she didn't stop to dye it?

In testimony a couple days prior, Nurmi asked when she dyed her hair, her testimony sounds contradictory, as she says she dyed it before Convention and also that she waited until after Convention to dye it:

She then identifies these pics that were taken after she moved back to Yreka, and her hair was "various shades of brown"

On murder day, June 4, 2008, her hair was clearly dark brown, with no blond highlights --but she thought she had deleted that evidence.

Here's a pic of her mugshot, a little more than a month after killing Travis. This is the picture that the car rental guy ID'd her from but said that her hair was different when she rented the car -- it was blond at that time.

She was blond when she met Ryan in April 2008, She was blond when she rented the car on June 2, 2008, and she was brunette when she arrived at Travis' on June 4, 2008, and she was brunette when she met Ryan on June 5, 2008

CONCLUSION: She dyed her hair darker brown after she rented the car on June 2, 2008 but before she arrived at Travis' house on June 4, 2008. There is no other way to make sense of this.

The defense is asking (petitioning) the Supreme Court to say that Judge Stevens was wrong when she ruled that Jodi is still death penalty eligible. The defense's reason is that the ME's testimony about the order of the shooting and stabbing was inconsistent with Flores' testimony that the victim was shot first, and Flores' testimony on that issue was the reason the prior trial judge found that Jodi was DP eligible in the first place.

The defense also asked the Supreme Court to delay the part of the trial dealing with that that issue until the Supreme Court has ruled on the defense's petition.

The Supreme Court said that it wouldn't delay the trial. But it looks like the defense's petition on DP eligibility has not been decided. So, at least for now, it looks like the Supreme Court will review Judge Steven's ruling.
