Can someone please tell me if it's possible to block a person so I don't see their posts on here?

You can create an "ignore" list then you never see their posts unless they are quoted by someone else. Go to your "user cp" and then you will see "ignore list" somewhere on that page.

And, did you notice how spotless the closet looked? It didn't have one thing out of order and there was no way that she rushed in there in a panic and flew up to that top shelf and grabbed that gun. No way!

also, in the crime scene photos, the little chair in the closet is in the middle of the room.. pretending j.a's story is true, she either used it to get a gun high up on the shelf and had the amazing consideration to put the chair back (maybe when she was tidying up, doing the dishes and laundry)... or as she says she "jumped" incredibly high and got it (didn't bother using the chair,) and didn't have to feel around for a small gun.

ugh. i don't like that i'm even trying to make sense of her lies.

moo.

Andrea's husband (who kept impregnating her against medical advice, didn't ensure that she took her antipsychotic meds knowing she had a history of psychosis, and exacerbated her mental health problems by having her live in a tiny RV for years with numerous children) should have gone to prison for life, IMO.

Rusty wanted another baby so the psych meds were stopped. His mother had been spending time with her and helping with the children and Rusty had cut back on that also. He wanted Andrea to do it on her own.

I haven't put as much thought into this as you have because....

when I got to the part, that she ran into the closet, everything after that doesn't make sense because the closet has two doors. If you are afraid of being attacked you don't run towards your attacker, you go the other way.

Great point. :) That said, a legitimately panicked person might turn the wrong corner. Or might try to get to a loaded firearm if they thought that was their only option.

JA was neither legitimately threatened or panicked in my view.

It was an interesting exercise to try to 'build' her scenario in my head - knowing that it falls apart, but wanting to know to what pitiful degree it does so. :)

Waving at y'all
Can someone confirm that jodi signed the guest book! Or just rumor?? Please and thank you? In advance:please::please:

No, but a site that is often quoted here is reporting it--RadarOnline--among others. Is RO a questionable site? I personally do not care for it but I know some here think highly of it. Anyway...since I cannot confirm this, I will report my post about it until the information can be verified from a more reliable source.

My hubby was listening with me when she testified to "jumping up on the shelf" to get the gun and thought it was hilarious, said he didn't think she'd fit up there, LOL...:rocker:

Talk about a shape shifter!!! Girl can supposedly leap like a flea - and shrink herself!!!

The whole going into the closet to get the gun story was so incredulous, that alone shows she was the aggressor - or she'd have kept on running! Duh.:banghead:

In how many seconds? Less than a minute? rrrrrright

At the top of the page, click "user cp". Then go to the "edit ignore list".

I'm new to WS...catching up on the threads and watching YouTube for the court days I missed early on in when the prosecution presented their case.

Just wanted to say hi and say that I'm enjoying reading all the different perspectives. Hope to begin contributing this upcoming week when Martinez continues his cross. Really looking forward to seeing how he circles back to that magazine evidence and what Arias was trying to do.

hello and :welcome5:

I just did a google search on Death Row Cell in AZ and found this image, but interestingly on the front page were several pictures of Jodi Arias.

Looks much too nice for her!

ME TOO! He's setting something up that's for sure. I'm very curious about the "nail salon" and where that goes.

Jumping in on some comments made earlier (yesterday) on JM still being "only" an ADA. The DA is an elected official position. There is only 1 in each jurisdiction. The DA rarely gets to try cases him/herself--most of their time is spent on administrative and political type matters.

So, if you are an attorney and you want to help put the bad guys/gals away, the district attorney's office is the only place you can do that. If you want to be in the courtroom trying cases to put those bad guys/gals away then being the elected official running the office (which is what the DA is and what the DA does) is not the right position for that.

An ADA doesn't "work" themselves up to the DA position; there is no promotion to that position since it's an elected position. A person has to campaign for the DA position just like any other elected position be it a judge, or a senator, etc. It's a political position.

Within any DA office there are grades/levels. JM is likely at a very high (perhaps one of the highest) grade levels in that office. To be the prosecutor of a DP case, and be able to try cases without any other ADAs involved, means to be among the best and brightest in a DA's office. People who choose that career obviously aren't doing it because they're going to be making $$$$$$$ a year like corporate attorneys can or like the criminal defense attorneys can--they do it because that's the type of law they want to practice and they don't want to be on the defense side. Those are your only 2 choices if you want to be in criminal law. It's a passion and a calling.

Thanks for clearing that up, I'm not sure who it was, but sure seemed like someone had an agenda against Mr Martinez.

If we are to believe the gun was actually put on that shelf, no, I do not believe she could reach it without standing on something. Actually it is most likely just another of her fabrications to explain where the gun came from. I don't believe it was ever in the closet.

MOO

To any observer in this case JA story of running around the bathroom and bedroom including a quick detour into the closet is complete fabrication.
In her motor mouth inimitable way she described an immense amount of activity and struggle that extended to the shower stall all the way back into the shower stall with a 185lbs corpse. JA provided a running dialogue and an action packed saga of TA vs JA.
Unfortunately for JA, she has Sony camera photo time stamp that shows the length of time passing from the time the camera on the floor took a picture of the ceiling - the struggle and then less than 2 minutes later JA is dragging the corpse back into the bathroom.

Despite JA astonishing lapse of memory she did manage to plant 29 knife wounds into TA body. Shooting once to the head plus thrusting in and pulling out a knife 29 times takes up some 2 minutes. But then to grab TA and slice his throat to a point of near decapitation takes some more time.

So unless JA claims that there was a cosmic stoppage of TIME that day her story-
of running around the mulberry bush, rushing in and out of a closet, stopping to obtain a loaded gun, exiting back into the field of battle, playing football with TA and being tackled, pointing the gun, remonstrating that TA should "cease and desist" , struggling some more, discharge of gun, and then proceeding to JA state of "automatic pilot" -
is pure unadulterated cow manure.

I would imagine when confronted with the photo timeline JA will claim:
*the time stamps are incorrect or falsified
*the camera when falling did not measure time correctly
*she doesn't know why the timestamps report those numbers

Nurmi and other deluded defense lawyer commentators proudly assert that the state cannot prove JA story wrong.
In other words, for example, prove that TA's incident with little boys did NOT happen.
This is tantamount to proving a negative.
JA could have just as convincingly told the world that aliens intervened and sliced up TA .
Nurmi would have extracted the precise timeline of the alien invasion. JA would have described in excruciating detail the appearances of each alien visitor to TA bedroom.

Then Nurmi would have said "Prove that aliens did NOT intervene".

I wonder who was next on Jodi's list. The .25 didn't work well as a murder weapon, so she bought a more powerful one.

I believe I heard her tell Nurmi that she stood on a stool (or something similar) to get the gun. I have to go back to the trial video to rewatch but as she was telling her story, I seem to remember hearing her say something about her standing on something to get the gun. I remember questioning how she had time to do all that with how she described Travis chasing her, etc.

I will revisit the trial video and let you know if I can confirm she stated she stood on a stool.

During direct, she told the story about leaving numerous messages after she killed him trying to sound cheerful before getting one right, and then she left that stupid message about being lost and asking him to a play.

Was that to cover the 16 minute call to TA?

if I recall correctly, that was not a phone call to his phone. That was somebody going into his voice mailbox and listening to his voicemail through his passwords.

My problem has always been that if you chase your children through the house and catch them and then drown them, what difference does it make if you are crazy by the legal term of the law. You killed your children and that is it. And you deserve to die. That case was sickening and living in Texas we heard every gory detail. No excuse and no reason to give her any kind of forgiveness. I hated that she even went to prison and now she is out. OMG. JMO

I agree. I see no reason to be ligthter on them because of insanity. With insanity, we have a reason why they did what they did...and that is all we have. It doesn't change the fact that the perp charged with murder is likely to kill.

Our laws are written that we can forgive/free an insane person. We are not supposed to put them to death. I don't happen to agree but I understand why they do that.

It is funny to me that when anyone google these jail cells they are all so meticulously clean. They sparkle. So glad for her.
