One thing I think gets her to Premeditation fast is how fast it all took place. Like she had each thing covered. What I think also comes across is her evil nature. She could have just waited for him to fall asleep sneak in and shoot him, She could have shot him a couple of times and that would have been it. But she wanted to do hand to hand combat. She wanted to stab him and slit his throat. Those are vicious cold acts.

Jodi testified that she put on socks and shoes and left, driving away wearing the bloody clothes. It's obvious why she had to toss the car mats, but what I do not understand is how there was not blood elsewhere in the car, maybe on the seat or back rest, or even down on the front of the seat area from her pants legs. Certainly she had a lot of blood on her clothes so how was the car returned as clean as it apparently was? The rental agent testified it had two small stains that looked like Kool-Aid. I find it really hard to believe that's all there was for staining considering the crime scene.

JM got her to admit to the shoes and socks but she changed clothes too. I am guessing any blood on her hands was from her cut finger.

Arias also claimed that she was unaware of the Hoover Dam checkpoint. I call BS on that as well, as the police at the checkpoint most certainly have noticed an upside down California license plate with no front plate. Most likely, she flipped the back plate, put the front plate back on, and after the checkpoint, turned the back plate upside down again. JM should have called her out on the front license plate screws ...

Anyone know if the front license plate was on the rental when she was stopped in Utah ?

Don't those fake CHIP cop carry extra screws? You know with all those pesky skaters running around causing havoc

I want to hear/see something on rebuttal regarding her story about stepping on a shelf, an adjustable shelf at that, that sits loosely on 4 pins (I have these closet shelves myself), and without using her hands at all, she was able to grab a gun from the back corner on the top shelf and not disturb anything on the shelves or hanging clothes. IMPOSSIBLE. You could get a couple of Cirque Du Soleil performers in there and they wouldn't be able to do it. If one attempted to do this, they'd end up on their a$$ along with upended shelves and strewn clothes.

I have shelves like that in my kitchen (sit on 4 pegs) but they are secured with 4 little 'thingies' (I'm a stickler for using proper technical terms) that are almost like flattened fishhooks that secure them - and prevent the shelves from flipping up like that. They're very strong and I've climbed up to top shelves hanging onto one of them and they don't flip.

So it's possible Travis had such hardware too. They came with the house, here. :)

That said - I don't believe the Travis gun story no matter what... I don't even see the possibility of JA 'planting' the gun in his closet as part of her plan... I think she shot him last, anyway, when there was no way he could have overpowered her in any way. jmv.

Travis sure had a nice closet.

I am going to have another Jodi-free weekend. Hope everyone has a nice one.
Look forward to catching up on Monday.

This is part of what I find so heartbreaking. After everything he overcame in his life and all he had achieved, this closet tells part of his story: you can tell from the way he takes care of his things how proud he was of his home and his belongings.

HLN soo good right now. They said in order for bullet casing to be where it is (on top of blood) means stabbing had to come first because shell casing has no blood on it. It is on top of blood.

yup yup yup

that is a piece of forensic evidence that she CANNOT match up with her current story (sorry arias). The only way she can make that fit is if she admitted that he was stabbed first (which she won't).

I truly believe with all my being that she is sticking to her shothimfirstsandwentintoafog story because of the penalty phase (DP).

But

Her story does not work... and her attempt at trying to make version 5.0 match the forensics is like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.

JM got her to admit to the shoes and socks but she changed clothes too. I am guessing any blood on her hands was from her cut finger.

Thank you! I did miss that.

Do you believe that JM has some information on MM that he will bring to light during the rebuttal? I wonder if the defense will even call MM. He was an ardent supporter of Jodi on her website back in January. Now he has disappeared.

The gal that is writing the book 'Picture Perfect' posted about the 'letter hearing' on her FB (sorry, don't recall her name but someone posted the link here the other day). She had all the details of that hearing, but don't ask me how 'cos I can't imagine she would be allowed to attend it. Anyway, she quoted Juan speaking to MM, who had testified. He apparently told MM that 'if he testifed about those letters, he (Juan) would have him up on perjury charges before his feet hit the ground.'

Perhaps the OP will post that link again.

I know the murder weapons are not needed in the state's case to secure a conviction but ...
Is there any chance JM has the murder weapons without the DT's knowledge?

If so, can JM still enter them into evidence and use them in his case? TIA

.....and I love the way Juan never hesitated once repeating some of the graphic sexual comments. That can't be easy in front of millions of people. I think Jodi was even surprised, thus some of the smirking. I do not think she thought he would be so direct---like he heard it a million times before:blushing:

I am forever a "JUAN-ette!!!!!

Yes! That was one of my favorite moments! Jodi gets off on being more sexually aggressive than the males she's able to have sex with. I think she thought the Mormon community was an 'easy mark' to manipulate with sex, since they avoid pre-marital sex completely. Jodi probably thought she was making Juan uncomfortable with the sex scenes--but he came right back in her face with those words!! I thought it was hilarious--AND brilliant, since he let Jodi know that she has no effect on him.

What real man would want to marry a chick who would perform oral sex on a porch and ask for an ejaculated face? Sane and decent men dont wife women like that.

You don't know what goes on behind private bedroom doors or men's hearts, there are plenty of men who want women like this and there are men that that don't. Whether one finds it palatable or not shouldn't serve to condemn or approve of what other people desire or such a private, consensual matter.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the info and updates. They are much appreciated since I usually can't get on until late at night.

I have seen alot of you wondering why JM hasn't shown the clip from 48 Hours where Jodi says if she murdered Travis she would beg for the death penalty. IMO he will save this clip for the sentencing phase. What better way to end than to play that clip and then say "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, give her what she asked for."

He did show it to the jury during his direct of Det Flores. It will be brought back. I am sure.

Juan Martinez Maricopa County Prosecutor is considered one of Arizona’s top Death-Penalty Prosecutors. According to the Phoenix New Times, Martinez is despised by many Defense attorneys, “because he relentlessly plays hardball on the job.” A graduate of at Arizona State University, Martinez was licensed to practice Law in 1984 and joined the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in 1988. Martinez, according to the Times, rarely enters into plea bargains and is known to be meticulous in preparation and presentation.

And if she stabbed him first that's felony murder. Cruel and heinous. DP murder.

her Ishothimfirst story also is cruel and heinous as arias testified on direct and on cross that Travis was awake, yelling, and moving (thus thinking) when she stabbed him.

she cannot have her cake and eat it too.

I think she said the bit about the yelling and clothes grabbing after she shot him to try to CONVINCE us that he was still attacking her (thus why she stabbed him).

Epic fail when looking at the
1) time constraint of less than two minutes(pictures)
2) forensic evidence

THe bottom left photo of the dark object in the upper left, which JA admitted was "the body" looks to me like Travis' shoulder on a bathmat.

I'm still thinking she. HAD to have showered or cleaned up a bit at Travis 's. Her hair and everything had to be covered. Blood on hands due to injuries. I.e.,left ring. Jmo finger

OT question... i read on fb that juan has never lost a trial... is that true

I saw an attorney on IS a couple weeks back saying he defeated JM in a case but I dont think it was a murder case.
