Right before she does the 3 tissue yank....after jury is gone....

He did say "stick with it," but that could mean a number of things. I didn't take it to mean anything irregular. He could have just meant "Be strond."

I am not that hard on Nurmi, he is just doing his job, representing his client, albeit a most-unlikeable one. And I read somewhere he wanted out of this case and the judge wouldn't let him. I mean, what is his alternative, being that he is stuck with it? He can't just throw her under the bus, although, in the end she is going to do just that, and I am sure he knows it, and Willmont is going with him.

this is amazing thanks!

also proves that she got changed and cleaned up before she even left the end of the hallway leading to the bed. no blood after those big stains on the carpet?

Correct!!! ONLY her bloody sock prints near that large blood pool. NO other bloody foot prints out or down the stairs etc! She took off the socks, got in that shower, she changed into something I think!

I also think she took blood stuff with her, so she got blood in the car by accident

I only saw some HLN coverage today with Vinnie. So I have a question. On IS today, was there any mention that today was the final day?

Today was the last 6 hour day. Monday will be 9-11AM EST. I was sadly disappointed at the end of the show. Jean said something like we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge all those on the team.. They ran everyone's names at the bottom and showed clips of cases intermixed with photos of the InSession cast and staff.

I meant "strong" not strond.

(1). I listened to the HLN clip of Nurmi and didn't hear "stick with it," (2) If he did say that, we don't know the context, he could have been saying, " stick with it, I know it's hard but you knew you would be confronted by the pictures at some point," or whatever, and (3) I think people are getting too cavalier about throwing around accusations of ethical violations by Nurmi. He is a public defender. He did not ask for this case but was assigned to it. Most public defenders are overloaded and underpaid but believe fiercely in the need for a defense to prevent individuals from being railroaded by the state.

Agree on all points.

But I understand defense does to get a rebuttal. Only the prosecution does. Am I confused?

In that case it is a cross exam of a witness whose testimony is being rebutted.

When I heard her testimony on this, I assumed that the 'bathmat' she spoke of was a little towel-like one that Travis put in front of the shower when he took one. It may have been a hand towel or smaller towel he used for that purpose.

I don't recall seeing a terry-cloth 'bathmat' from the washer, but several small towels (that would have been covered in blood and thus doused with bleach).

She's referring to a completely different object - not the rattan-like one in front of the tub (that I thought was more of a decorative little rug) that we saw in CS photos. He probably hung it over the shower door when not showering. Just guessing. :)

I think that 'bathmat'/small towel ended up having the same fate as the camera.

Thanks for that answer. I'm afraid i forgot to mention that the above pic (which is the one with him sitting in the shower, with only his arm visible) was the one where I was questioning the absence of the bath mat. This pic is odd. The shower door is open, he doesn't have a bath mat so it doesn't seem he is showering but who just sits in a dry shower?

I wasn't sure when this picture was taken in reference to the other pics, also it seems to be taken from a different angle that the other shower pics, as if she were standing in the hall.

BBM: Then why wouldn't he just say "be strong" if that is what he meant? Doesn't make sense to try to interpret his words any other way, he isn't speaking in code or anything. Stick with it, means stick with whatever you're doing, now whether he means the crying or the way she is answering, that's impossible to say. Personally I think he means the crying.

And yeah he has to do his job, he quit his job trying to get out of this case, so he needs to go on and make money as a lawyer in the future, a loss is a loss and bad for your career. While I don't hold a high opinion of him, he is trying to do what he can do help her. And behind the scenes he has to deal with this petulant little B_tch which cannot be easy for anyone.

I turned up my TV and listened closely and thought I heard "Take a minute." Was there another time that you guys are referring to?

I think the fact that he wasn't taking her to Cancun is what made her really mad ... so they had sex for a while, she assumed that was enough to convince him to take her to Cancun, then he told her in no uncertain terms - perhaps in the shower - that it wasn't going to happen, and then she was so angry that she carried through with murdering him. Had he changed his mind about Cancun, he might still be alive.

I agree that Cancun could have been an issue of debate, or she could have seen something on his phone/email while he was in the shower. I don't think we can confidently agree that an agreement to Cancun would have saved his life, there are too many factors that come into this.

The problem is, Jodi wanted Travis forever, and a trip to Cancun wouldn't have changed that. I believe regardless of whether things could have been different with Travis' life, that this level of obsession wasn't going to subside without her making some sort of attempt on his life and/or professional intervention.

My mother used to teach Shorthand in HS. As a child i learned it (sort of) and it really was a neat thing to know. Talk about secret code for sending notes and such... I wish i still knew it. She could write pages of the stuff and i couldn't believe it could actually be 'read' just as quickly.

Wow.. we are going back 40 years for me.... YIKES.

I thought it would be:

Direct (Nurmi)
Cross (Martinez)
Re-Direct (Nurmi)
Re-Cross (Martinez)

That's what I'd always heard. But I think each state is different, and from what everyone is saying, there's no Re-Cross.

Good points. But at (iirc) 225.00 an hour he should be doing a better job. IMHO. I just get nervous about mistrial....

This is a crime scene photo. NOT one taken by Jodi. She didn't take any of his body back in the shower after the murder.

Pretty darn sneaky for somebody in a fog.
