Speaking of guns, I have a little trouble believing Travis would keep a gun on the top shelf in his closet. We have always kept our gun in the night stand, well except for the years we had the Sleighbed water bed, then it was kept on the floor behind the headboard. I just can't see a young male keeping a gun on the top self in his closet. Just to make it clear, I do not believe Travis owed a gun.

paperwork???? would be needed as well

This is Arizona we're talking about, here. You can buy a gun at a gun show (and ammo, perhaps - if not, Walmart is well stocked) and voila - you have a gun, bullets you can have in your home.

You need a CCW card if you want to carry a pistol around in public, and there are licensing/registration regulations for certain firearms/situations, but you can pretty much get a gun without a paper trail (except a sales receipt) whenever the mood strikes you in this state.

(But just to be thorough, I'm going to go back and read the ARS on this - it's been a few weeks) :)

I can't imagine how hard that was. I'm so sorry for you.

Thanks! <3

OT - I've been certified in CPR for all of my adult life. I haven't taken another class since and refuse to renew my certification. I vowed I will never, ever, ever perform CPR on another human being for the rest of my life. Ever.

But, was talking to a friend the other day and she asked me "what if someone needed CPR and you were the only one around to do it". I said, "OK, fine, maybe I would...but I won't like it and will ONLY do it if I can't direct someone else to".

I'm mean. ROFL

Exactly. Why would Travis buy a rinky dinky female gun when he could have bought a 9mm or a .40?:floorlaugh:

I think that video showing him shooting big arse assault rifles with his friends will show the jury that he would not have bought a .25 caliber granny gun.

  • #185
Right, but if his relationship with JA was a "secret" to his friends... what else was? (That would tinker in my mind if I was a juror)
Innuendo is easy and cheap.

Travis is not the one on trial. If he had a gun (which he didn't) she still killed him 3 times and admitted she was the one that retrieved it .. she didn't wrestle it off him after he pointed it at her! That's premeditated right there considering she then stabbed him in the chest and back and THEN cut his throat .. and that's going by her version of events which is no doubt self serving.

She's got nothing.

I was re-watching her police interview yesterday and when asked if Travis had a gun, she clearly stated "Not that I am aware of". Doh!

Jane Velez is so dumb. Honestly. HLN Talking Heads are saying the jury is more likely to believe a video of Travis shooting a gun = Travis owning a gun. They are saying the video will likely convince jurors and people that Travis used a gun, therefor he owns a gun.

Are people this stupid?

Just goes to show that while people want to help their friend, like Dave Hall going on JVM and showing that video, some may just think in that way..."more likely to believe a video of Travis shooting a gun = Travis owning a gun".

It seems like it was new news to the DT AND the prosecutor (Travis and viedo of shooting gun)??

It's possible Jodi ditched them with the gun, no? She has lied many times before...

The only gun she ditched is the one she took from her grandparent's house.

  • #189
Juan is absolutely showing today what a diabolical liar she is. And so, why should we believe your lies NOW, Jodi??

No one is going to believe Jodi by the time Juan is through with her. They wont even believe her name is really Jodi Arias because she has said it is.:floorlaugh:

BBM - and with TA chasing her down like a linebacker .......

Yes, and after she shot him through the forehead he continued yelling "Kill you b****" and charging at her. Uh-huh. Tell me more truthful facts JA. :nevermind:

  • #191
IMHO the jurors are not likely to believe Travis owned a gun exactly like the one alleged to have been stolen from the home Jodi Arias lived in with her grandparents unless the defense can provide clear and convincing evidence such as a gun registration/permit. Since it appears they can not and will not offer such proof Dave Hall's testimony will be quite compelling.

Bringing over from last thread:

My mother passed very unexpectedly in her sleep. I went up to wake her up at 5:30 a.m., she said she was getting up, she didn't get up by 6:30 (highly unusual), I went up to wake her up again and she had passed. She didn't answer my screams, I raced over to her and knew immediately that she had passed, though she was still warm. I suppose it really depends of the person that is experiencing it at the time.

Worst. Day. Ever. of My. Entire. Life.

I miss her every single moment of every single day and she's been gone for 3 years.

Last night I had a crazy dream,
A wish was granted just for me
It could be for anything
I didn't ask for money
or a mansion in Malibu
I simply wished for one more day with you....

One more day,
One more time,
One more sunset maybe I'd be satisfied,
But then again, I know what it would do,
Leaving me wishing still for one more day with you

Can't continue the song...too sad.

Sorry about OT

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel - I found y son had passed in very similar circumstances.
:grouphug:

That was never recovered because she got rid of the evidence.

I don't know if this has been posted, apologies if so.

Right, she lies all the time to try and not be held responsible.... So what is more believable: a liar's word about a gun in a closet or the damning circumstantial evidence that she brought the gun with her to TAs?

Wasn't the ammo found at her moms?

.25 ammo was found at her mom's, we don't know if it was THE ammo. Seems far too coincidental to be... coincidental imv, but I don't think any information has come out about that - other than .25 cal bullets were found at Mom's.

Bringing this in for the wonderful Pink Panther.

Jodi Arias Trial - Day 20 - Part 1 - YouTube

Here it is Start around 37:00 min.
It is right after she is questioned about does she still love Travis...

I've listened to this part a few times and it really is strange. She doesn't make sense but this is what I hear her say:

"I um, I started looking around for um the charger that I didn't, that I thought I had left because Matt hadn't answered his phone until I/he/it (???) was there. And I started cleaning out the car, and it was under the seat on the passenger side."

What do you think she says?

Works for me. Linebackers are defense players. So, she admits he was defending?
