Chris Hughes is trying to defend Travis through the media. If he wants to let peeps know Travis didn't have a gun, he should have done it through Juan.
It's Juan's job, and IMO, he is interfering.
I know he loves Travis, but he has to think of the trial rather than his own needs.

Chris Hughes has, to my knowledge been silent on the topic of Travis and guns. I admit I have not visited said social media today. Are you perhaps confusing Chris Hughes with Dave Hall? Dave is the person who has been on other media with the video of Travis shooting Dave's guns. Dave was not asked to appear in court prior to today (as a witness) and as far as anything I have seen or read he has a constitutional right to speak to whomever he wants to about whatever he wants to. No one could have imagined that she would dream up this cockamamie story that the gun belonged to Travis. So, I guess they did not think they needed testimony to show Travis did not own a gun. I still say the defense walked right into this door, and it will ultimately go to show even more what a liar she is.

Again, from a juror's perspective... did Travis own a gun or no? Just because one of his "friends" will testify he didn't, doesn't mean he didn't.

The sad thing is Travis is not here to confirm this.

No, but as a person who goes to the shooting range often and does not own a gun I can tell you it sucks to have to rent one all the time. IF I ever had one (which I will never do with a child in the house) I can tell you it sure would save me money to shoot my own and not rent.

I think it is VERY compelling the video that proves Travis borrowed a gun - because it makes it more acceptable to believe that is likely what he always did since almost all his friends testified he didn't own one and many can testify they know he went out shooting often.

If Travis owned a gun - he surely would have use it instead of borrow or rent one. And if he had just acquired it recently he would sutely have told his shooting buddies about his new acquisition and schedule a date to test it out. As sociable as Travis was - None of his friends say he ever told them about his new purchase. And he seemed to be the guy who like people to admire what he had.

I almost ruined my laptop reading that remark. Note to self: Do not eat soup while reading Websleuths.

Speaking of guns, I have a little trouble believing Travis would keep a gun on the top shelf in his closet. We have always kept our gun in the night stand, well except for the years we had the Sleighbed water bed, then it was kept on the floor behind the headboard. I just can't see a young male keeping a gun on the top self in his closet. Just to make it clear, I do not believe Travis owed a gun.

And IF he did have a gun, he wouldn't have wanted Jodi to have access to it. Especially if it was loaded with no safety lock on it.

It's possible Jodi ditched them with the gun, no? She has lied many times before...

it's possible that space aliens planted a gun in his closet, called jodi and told her where it was. what's MORE likely is she's lying.

I'm a Mormon in a house full of hunters with many many many guns, nope, no rules against them.

This came up on another thread, maybe you can answer, about Jodi's journal. Are Mormon's encouraged to keep a journal? TIA.

She cleaned his house didn't she?

This made me laugh! Maybe he's trying to avoid hearing his client lie.
(he's kind of gross, either way with the nose and ear fingers)

I agree, I do not beleive it either. The guy that testified that Travis borrowed his guns when they went to the shooting range, also stated if Travis bought a gun he would have came to him for advice on what type of gun to get.

if you have a gun of your own, you'd take it to the range. even if you were there to shoot a friend's AR-15, or other guns, you'd take your own because it's YOUR gun and you need to stay familiar with it. when i go shoot with my friend, i shoot all of his---he has lots of guns----but i ALWAYS take my own too.

Jane Velez is so dumb. Honestly. HLN Talking Heads are saying the jury is more likely to believe a video of Travis shooting a gun = Travis owning a gun. They are saying the video will likely convince jurors and people that Travis used a gun, therefor he owns a gun.

Are people this stupid?

How did JVM get a show on HLN? Not asking rhetorically, but I really want to know. There are dozens of people I can think of who could host and produce a better show. Gather up a group of WS'ers and there would be a better product on the air. JMO
