Like I said before, this is all an act. She does not have multiple personality disorder. She's a liar trying to get the most lenient punishment possible. She already tried to plead for 2nd degree and was turned down and that's when this new story of self defense originated. She's had 4 years to perfect her story.

And the joke is on her. She will be convicted.

She is a psychopath - not psychotic. As such she has woven her fantasy into her reality. She 'knows' it isn't the truth but instead of revealing the actual truth, which would send her to death row, she will instead roll the dice and attempt to manipulate the jury into believing her reality.

She believes she is powerful enough, superior enough, smart enough to make the evidence fit her story. She is arrogant enough to believe she can con 18 people into believing Juan is a fool and the State's case is as inconsequential as swatting a gnat; that she was a meek and mild, virginal, easily dominated abuse victim incapable of getting away from a man who did vile, reprehensible things; that she is SO good, so thoughtful and considerate she only didn't tell the truth to save those that loved this man any more pain.

If one needs proof Ms. Arias knows her reality isn't THE reality one needs only to look at the letters purportedly written by Travis Alexander, widely reported as forgeries, which coincidentally back up much of her testimony. The letters that surfaced in 2010. Then look to the magazine evidence of witness tampering.

I'd say there is more than enough evidence to conclude Jodi is twisting and manipulating every known fact in this case attempting to make it fit within her version of events.

That is wholly inconsistent with someone suffering from delusional psychosis.

MOO

Very good, hard to imagine but the brain is a complex organ. Very sad.

I guessing that not having lunch for the 9 days the defense had her on the stand didn't bother her?

There is no doubt in my mind that she will kill again. She'll just be more proficient next time. She did a pretty good job this time and she's learned. I want the death penalty for her because I know she'll still out live me but it would do my heart good to know that is hanging over her head. But LWOP is fine with me too. As long as they DO NOT EVER LET HER OUT. She's too scary to be out and about - dating.

I was finally able to get registered! :rocker: I have been lurking here for years and since my husband is tired of hearing me talk about La Arias, I figured I needed to stop lurking! Looking forward to today!

Good morning! Glad you decided to join in...

Jealousy is a fault in her eyes. Snooping, stalking and lying? Not so much! Murder? Nope - nothing wrong with that when she feels it called for. :banghead:

Jodi cannot admit to jealousy. That would be admitting that every man isn't HOT for her. She is beautiful and desired, don't ya know?

I do believe she would kill again if she had several weapons, but if they could place her with other inmates of lwop with violent behaviors I would be happy for her and I would gladly pay to see her life weekly on pay for view, what a treat, I guess I need to move on with this trial because I seem to be having bad thoughts about her and wishes that could come true.

And just to finish my thoughts which didn't seem to fit my previous post...

Jodi's reality, imo, is indeed that she felt compelled to murder Travis. But not in self-defense. I believe she felt forced to kill him because not only had he rejected her - he'd also likely seen her 'true' psychopathic self. Almost nothing else scares a psychopath, but if their mask slips and people see how very inhuman they are they panic.

But Jodi's reality won't get her out of prison. So she has to take her reality - the entitled, justified murder of Travis in her mind - and squeeze, bend and shape it to make it fit THE reality. That's where all the psychopathic manipulations come into play...forging letters, witness tampering, gaslighting, obfuscation, deception, manipulation, etc. I'm quite certain we've only hit the tip of the iceberg in that regard too. We may never know all of Jodi's machinations.

ITA--I noticed she looked depressed and defeated when Juan asked the court reporter to read back the question--it took the wind right out of her sails.

Precisely! And I think he'll keep doing it. I recalled her bickering with him about "I'm not guilty of 1st degree murder. I'm not guilty of that charge." And I realized: Jodi must have studied a good bit to prepare to defend herself. In HER mind, she could have done a better job than her defense team.

This woman who COMPLETELY MEMORIZED 8 or 9 mind-numbing days of testimony: dates, times, Starbucks orders, Costco water. (I don't care who you are, that's pretty impressive.)

I did the same thing in school: crammed my mind full of facts for a specific test. And then what? I couldn't recall any of it two days later because they weren't part of my permanent memory!

During cross, Juan is asking for answers her brain has already dismissed!

So true. We mustn't forget she turned down THREE dates one Friday night, per her journal. Lucky guys, I say, or they may have found themselves on this witness stand.

I wonder if this would be done by now if she would just answer the questions instead of playing games. I bet the jury wonders the same. They have their own lives to get back to. She is showing that she has no consideration for others. If she did, she might realize that they might not enjoy sitting there day after day listening to her babble on about herself. They have their own jobs, families and obligations that she is keeping them away from. I don't think they appreciate that.

It was as if a Defense team met with her in 2010 and said Jodi we don't have a shred of corroborating evidence that he abused you, that he was deviant, this will be an uphill battle.

And she said "Oh, you mean like a bunch of letters that might back me up. Ok hang on, I might be able to come up with some"

If today is the day Juan gets to the murder, and the evidence photos of the murder, I think we will all hear a lot of different variations of"I don't remember" from Jodi. I also expect her to cry, and this would be a time when she might dissolve into shaking sobs and need a recess to compose herself (delay and buy time).

It will be a tough day for the family of Travis, but JM needs to give Jodi many opportunities to say she "doesn't remember" so this is burned into the brain of every juror, IMO.

And then drive home the "fugue state" driving in the desert, and the Costco bottled water sponge bath to clean up the blood, followed by grinding the new man in the LoveSac. AND the calls and VM to Travis' cell phone AFTER she knew he was dead at her hands.

The jury hopefully will be as sickened as we all are.

Smile and say cheese, Jodi. It's time for your close up. There is nothing to be sad about, right?

I wonder the same thing too. While JA is in court, she gets to wear regular clothes and be around people other than inmates. She has nothing to lose dragging things out. LWOP or DP, not something to look forward to at all.
Rest of your life in prison - hmmm - not appealing at all.

Good Morning to all!!

agree with all you write. having served on 2 juries, i too am concerned because it only takes one idiot to mess things up. there were people on BOTH juries i was on that lacked intellect and simple common sense.

I have served on 5 juries and I found all of the jurors to be quite logical and filled with common sense. Sometimes common sense can trump intellect.

I see nothing to indicate this jury is not the same as most all jurors are and have no doubt they will come to the correct verdict.

I also think she is very close to not only being convicted of first degree but is closer to DR than ever before.

IMO
