I wanted to see if anyone else sees what I'm seeing. JA reminds me of Casey for a few reasons. First, the way she speaks and how she uses unnecessary words in her attempt to sound smarter than everyone else. Even her demeanor screams "I cannot believe you all are wasting my time!". It's just all so Casey to me. But I guess the traits of a sociopathic narcissist are consistent.

I wonder if they are trying to build on a personality disorder. Is this play acting or a personality trait...multiple.
The personality disorders I believe Jodi has wouldn't be something the defense would actively exploit. ;)

DID (multiple personality) is often called the Holy Grail of psychiatry because it truly is that rare.

The meek and mild Jodi is the one we see when Jodi can keep up the pretense of her defense strategy. The angry and combatant Jodi is the one lurking just below. When we see her it means Juan's getting under her skin. As a general rule, psychopaths are annoyed by having to account for their actions.

The street corner version of Jodi - the wholly sexually explicit Jodi - is her 'true' self in a sense. It's when she's relishing in her make-believe power and ego. She has no emotions built into her sexual acts, even with someone she supposedly loved, so she thinks nothing of describing intimate acts in the crudest of terms. Apart from feeding her sense of superiority, and denigrating her victim, recounting those events means absolutely nothing to her.

Again JMO.

There is a legal problem a Defense team faces should they have had Jodi examined by a mental health professional for anything like "psychotic, sociopathic" designation.

If an expert examines her and finds she is 100% fully A-OK not any mental problem whatsoever then the Prosecutor is allowed a copy of such report and then they can't make any claim of mental defect.

They could have her examined by a Domestic Violence expert (which to me is a lower level professional able to say Yes, Yes i think she is from what I see) That would be a simple counselor etc.

That's so much less powerful as Jodi can fake Domestic Violence behaviors to fit the description.

What I believe the Defense did was meet with a few very good experts in the field of Sociopath/Psychotic behavior and they may have been told they don't think she is crazy, she is just a murderer. A woman that fits more the category of Obsession/Stalker Killer.

Um, which you get the Death Penalty for in AZ...

Good Morning Everyone :-) Yesterday was so exhausting, and now my hubby has taken an interest in this trial, which means watching NG (not so bad) JVM ( can't stand her, she knows nothing) Dr. Drew (can't stand him, he knows less than JVM) It's sooooo hard for me to not comment on all the BS they say, I'd rather be here reading what you all have to say while you all watch these shows, but noooo he wants me to watch them with him. Oh well, what's a wife to do.

I wonder if this would be done by now if she would just answer the questions instead of playing games. I bet the jury wonders the same. They have their own lives to get back to. She is showing that she has no consideration for others. If she did, she might realize that they might not enjoy sitting there day after day listening to her babble on about herself. They have their own jobs, families and obligations that she is keeping them away from. I don't think they appreciate that.

They are all human beings just like we are. I think they are highly aggravated that the defendant will not give a straight answer.

Imo, they are sick of JA and all of her lies and arrogant behavior.

I hope JM plays this in court

So do I....the one failing that I see in JM's cross is what we learn in Day 1 of trial practice - NEVER let a witness explain on cross. He is asking her to admit things that she simply will not..."isn't that a contradiction?" "wasn't that a lie?"
When he could just hit her with her own statements...say you said that right...and move on! That's the benefit of having a defendant that has spoken about the case ad nauseum...He can weave all of the "gotchas" together using her own admissions and she won't be able to refute them with her smug little semantics (he has the patience of a saint..I would be ready to strangle her).

Who thinks Jodi will claim a migraine again this morning and 'call in sick' for court today?

She already used the migraine excuse. Today she will probably come down with scurvy. :floorlaugh: Anything to get out of it.

Did Travis deserve to die? Did he slaughter someone? Therein lies your answer.

I am with you 1000%. IMO, JA deserves the DP. I was asking the opinion of that particular poster.

** The Journal *** I have this really bad feeling about the journal

Jodi claims the journal went with her everywhere she went, presumably to Travis’s house as well. She also claims Travis had done his own snooping on occasion.

I have this bad feeling that defense strategy may change their tack to claim that Jodi wrote her journal entries with either the hope or expectation that Travis might read it --and that’s why she never wrote anything bad about abuse or pedophile activities. Their point: her journal cannot corroborate the abuse because she wrote her entries in part for Travis’s benefit.

What really bothered me was the laissez faire way in which she wrote about Travis going on his 2nd date with Mimi. *I* wouldn’t have been so nice in *my* journal.* Instead and I would have had really bad names to use for both parties, yet she writes about how she loves him. She doesn’t say that she loves him and is tormented by him seeing with other women – she simply says she loves him and he had a great date with Mimi. NOT NORMAL.

It’s almost as if she wrote it with the thought that Travis might read it and see how much she loves him and how flexible and understanding she was – ie., marriage material. Frankly, her journal entries really bother me – they are not negative at all, even when the nasty texts Travis sent surely warranted some normal venting on her part. -Nothing- I really do thing the journal was faked to make her look good to Travis. And the defense can use the resulting output to their benefit.

OMG...knew that was where she was getting her cash. Maybe she pops down to the L.A. valley, does some 🤬🤬🤬🤬, hops over to Hollywood to turn tricks, then heads out to Az. with a Vegas stop en route. That would give her some traveling money. How could she be a waitress and work with other attractive women?! More thoughts that make me ponder...(joDIE word~)

1. She is reeeaally familiar with taking close up shots of her vj, etc.
2. She is familiar with the local so. cal. freeways, seems like she is
always on the road. Pasadena is only 20 miles from the valley where the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 biz operates.
3. And Vegas is just a quick four hours from Pasadena, and kinda on the way to Az.
4. Being a waitress seems like a good undercover job. Her job times are always changing, and her jobs are always changing.
5. Previous posters noticed her 'baby girl' voice on the sex tape sounds like a typical phone sex worker.

Maybe we need some priests for an exorcism. Someone needs to throw holy water on her and see if she starts spitting and levitating...that would be great.:D

She would have had more money. IMO

I dont think he has done one thing wrong. He lets her explain because each and everytime she does she reveals another lie.

Priceless

Wouldn't surprise me if Jodi tries to get out of court with sickness today.

I've considered this, too. Jodi knows by now that the jury isn't buying her story, so she probably wants to "punish" them somehow. Feigning illness and causing a delay in proceedings sounds like something that this evil wench would do. :moo:

I have wavered through the years over the Death Penalty, but I must say in this case, this was so horrible, such a rage jealous brutal over-killing that I am solid on my opinion of her being a very dangerous person with no feelings. No feelings for anyone but herself. I feel certain put her in her cell with many medications that would easily give her a painless death and she won't take them. She does not want to go anywhere.

I have the opposite problem - Hubs is not interested at all and to keep peace I don't watch NG or youtube at night. It is even hard for me to get on this forum. Like you said, what's a wife to do!!

Not this wife, grammie! lol After the Anthony trial, my hubby and I agreed: "Enough! No more murder trials!" But when this trial got underway, I started lurking here again and ....well, you know how WS's siren song can reel you in....ha! So we compromise...mr. dood watches it on TV and I'm here on the computer. That way I don't have to look at JA. She's like a Gorgon or something....I'm afraid if I look into her face, I'll turn to stone!

And I NEVER watch the talking heads, either. They give me a cramp.

It's Websleuths all the way, baby! The voices of reason in a sea of insanity.

Honestly though I'm so glad she said that word. That is just not a word that would nonchalantly roll off the tongue of someone who is so pure and innocent when it comes to all of these sexual things.

That was one of the words that had never come out of my mouth

IMO the only difference between the two, is Casey DID NOT take the stand. If she had of, they could/would be twins. Same lies, different circumstances. And they love to talkkkkkkkkkk
