I think by now the jury knows very well what TA meant when he called her a sociopath and the worst thing that ever happened to him. I'm sure the jury will ask to look up the clinical definition of sociopath if they don't already know. I would loooove to see the look on their face(s) (Those who don't know) when they realize they've just witnessed a living example.

To me it's strange that there's serious arguments over making sure we put to death people on death row in a humane manner, yet we won't let someone eat an extra sandwich while they're going through their own trial.

I'd have no problem with a extra sandwich or an orange for someone while going to court for the whole day from the jail.

Okay... I can't get over how she smiles when she says she did not want to have oral sex with Travis. I don't believe you can excuse that for nervous smiles when she did not under direct examination about sex.

I at first was concerned that JM was ignoring the subtleties of women's feelings about sex and relationships but when he went into the timeperiod (2 weeks) I saw how irrelevant her feelings argument was since while she argued that she felt it was "too soon" for sex but did not want to tell him no, she's completely denying strong emotions to avoid the obvious emotional motive.

It's a delicate tightrope she has to walk that she is an abused and battered woman who couldn't say "no" and yet was not emotional or emotionally invested enough to have a jealousy motive.

(Respectfully snipped)

Does that mean that - strictly speaking from the victim's/victim's family's perspective, wouldn't LWOP be a relief? No appeals (except, as you've said before there is a risk of appeal even with the DP to have the sentence reduced to LWP or even less!)

Please understand - I am NOT arguing anything on this, I'm just curious and value your comments for the obvious reasons - and wish you were never given a reason to know so much.

I guess it's probably different in every case - people are different. I can't imagine having to deal with the appeals process and the murderer of one's family member again and again.

In our case there was no LWOP at that time in AZ so with parole in 25 yrs it was a nobrainer. Interestingly although we never really discussed it, we were a family who would probably be anti DP if we'd not landed in that "heinous" situation.

After two decades of appeals, I'm left with only one wish. That they get forgotten. Execution won't make anything better for any of us. Except we will stop getting bugged by their attorneys and representatives. Their DP attorneys have tortured us in various ways for years. In the name of "justice" for murderers. It's no picnic. I'm sure parole hearings are no picnic either. LWOP takes both off the table. So yeah, in hindsight I'd probably prefer that sentence.

With that being said, Jodi Arias along with Michael and Rudi Apelt ARE "the worst of the worst" so they do qualify for the "worst of the worst" sentence. And it is more suffering for them in certain ways. I'm sure the life on DR will be far worse for JA than in General Pop.

And with all that being said I am 100% behind Jodi Arias being sentenced to death for one simple reason: it's what this family wants.

I stand behind them in solidarity 100% . This is one place they have a tiny piece of control. I will champion for this sentence and be there with them for their Victim Impact Statements and support them in all ways with this.

Hope this helps...??

I think Nurmi just wanted to get her off the stand because JM was on a roll and was headed to make his big point for the afternoon. And the DT saw a way to get her off the stand early. JMO

It is fine though, because it gives Juan the chance to look over the transcript and tighten up his aim for tomorrow.

I bet from now on she will have to sign a paper saying the jail provided her with enough food to bring for her lunch. I think 2600 calories is a lot. My guess is she is not eating and we will find out she, again, lied. jmo

I would imagine TA was stronger than JA even though he was slightly taller. He was into MMA and had a punching bag and bragged about the size of his biceps and looked like he weighed more than she did. He looked rather pudgy in his Eddie Snell video. The height comparison was lost on me.

Not without a knife.

I just want to state that I personally find this really offensive. She is not being tortured, there is no cruelty involved. She may be missing a meal and haven't we all, and unless she is diabetic, I don't understand the import. Sounds like promulgating of hysteria to me and totally buying into the defence's idea that she is such a victim.

Exactly right!! Also she ADMITTED TO KILLING HIM. She is a murderer and she is getting plenty of nutrition to sustain life. I am not buying any of it... But I bet tomorrow the sheriff provides her with an Onion sandwhich! lol

Someone earlier posted the afternoon youtube.....I was watching the link on friends computer and crashed. cannot locate. Can you repost please.

Also, was just at the part where it is coming into focus about Antarctica. Interesting how the going to each others funeral fell apart....and all was conjured just by her one time asking him to give her eulogy as he was a good public speaker! That was mentioned by her as he would go to hers ......but now........ nope! Also, didn't Travis say in one of his angry last emails something about you need to move to Antarctica or something like that.

Total act. It could not be more obvious. They come back from the afternoon break to a sidebar. Then Nurmi goes to whisper to her. Next thing is a 10 minute recess. Come back to see y'all tomorrow. Then he explains that she is sick, and hasn't had lunch. GMAFB.... she hasn't had lunch or a migraine at all during any of her direct. Then today she does? He clearly told her something was coming that she wasn't prepared for. So she got sick.

Thank goodness you missed all the j@zz talk! :giggle:

There's a total of 3 squares a day according to my cousin who works at a prison. She she JA would have eaten breakfast already and be back in time for dinner.

Hell that's no less than what I can squeeze into my workday. I NEVER operate on a full 3 meals and still have to perform high workloads under great stress.

Geez!!! Man up Jodi!!! She can take a d**k up the butt but she can't take an empty stomach??? Go freakin figure.

I have a behavior question. We have now heard about several boyfriends and one by one, pretty much each one she has either read their text messages when they fell asleep or were in a shower, or read their hotmail and printed things out.

Mostly in her words catching them in these inappropriate conversations.

I don't really know of one person she did not do this to (maybe the last one, Ryan)

I have never done this, I'm not saying that would not be tempting but I have never felt like I wanted to. I suppose if I had feelings something was wrong, I'd simply act on those but not sneak in and go through mail.

How odd is it that she did this to so many guys? I don't want the fact she "alleges" to have found "dirt" on most all of them to diminish the the behavior of looking at their private things in the first place.

I do think this whole eating biz might blew in the state's face. If the rule in prison is 2 meals day, okie dokie (I disagree, but whatevs). while at trial, with all the stress, your body will burn more calories, energy bla bla bla. A good appeal attorney can and will make a big deal out of this and have good chances to make a point. Man, the saga continues....

I'd love to participate in the trial discussion this evening but owe DH some quality time. Two things that came to mind as I listened to Jodi's testimony that I'd like to share. Having dealt with a family member who was diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder and BPD, there were some behaviors of Jodi that hit home.

When Jodi told JM that she was bothered by his posture, tone, and anger, I recalled how my sister used to convene family meetings so that she could tell us (all adults) how we should treat her. This is typical of borderlines - the rest of the world has to abide by their rules and never say or do anything that the borderline does not like or cannot tolerate. This is best described by family members and/or anyone who comes in contact with the borderline as "walking on eggshells", and, trust me, it's not pretty.

Jodi is extremely judgmental of other people and does not see her own shortcomings, weaknesses, faults. I think that it's safe to say that Jodi was likely a tattletale at a very young age and was always reporting the (perceived) bad behaviors of others in an attempt to get them in trouble with parents, teachers, etc. My sister started doing this when she was about five and even made up tall tales to get siblings and classmates in trouble. Unfortunately, as the baby of the family, she was favored (especially by our mother) and usually succeeded in accomplishing what she set out to do.

Thankfully, my sister (now 56) responded well to medications and therapy and no longer displays many of her earlier behaviors, but it took many years and caused tremendous stress for our family. I doubt that Jodi would benefit from treatment because she is far too set in her ways and does not think that she needs to change. Jodi wants everyone to adapt to the "world according to Jodi". :moo:

Shannon (Crabtree Petersen) says Travis was always flirtatious. Travis even flirted with her Mother. Says Travis was endearing to her and many people.

Jodi is not even likable.

Question!!

Now that Jodi has "Opened the door" and named Shannon Crabtree-Peterson, can she now be called in as a witness for rebuttal?

Showing my age, but her name reminds me of Mrs. Crabtree from the Little Rascals.
