JA might have thought TA could be cured if he was a pedophile. I hate to group gay people and pedophiles together but there are a few Mormon married couples where the male is gay and the wife hetero and it is ok to be in these mixed marriages according to the Mormon church. They have gone public, TV interviews, blogs. So in that faith, they might think that pedophilia could be prayed away or marriage could cure it. I know some Christians believe prayer can cure those things. I certainly disagree but I also disagree with the mixed marriages, not my business but like I said, the couples have gone public so that is why I mentioned them.

"Jake", a friend and supporter of Jodi Arias, is talking to Nancy Grace right now. He writes to her in jail. He fully believes that she acted in self defense. He explains the stabs to the back, slitting of the throat and then shooting him as just "over kill".

It is truly amazing to me how this woman can con and manipulate men to believe her and I hope to God that the men on the jury have the intelligence to see past her lies and the little, poor me act.

I saw that too. "Jake" sounds like a real gem. I'm assuming he's using a fake name and noticed he's opting not to show picture of himself-- I can't blame him for either of these things. If I was in a penpal relationship with a coldblooded killer and I was one of the only people on earth who would actually speak out on her behalf, I'd probably hide my identity too. Wouldn't want her knowing what I look like "just in case". Also I'm sure his parents would evict him from the basement if they knew about his "relationship".


I hope he knows NG had him on strictly for the purpose of showing what a fool he was. Pretty much the only people who have come to her defense are the men who write her in jail and that friend Tina who hasn't talked to her since 1999. And mom and auntie sit there loyally in court everyday giggling.

Hello All..... I've been following this trial by watching Croakerqueen123's uploads and whatever else I can find! I just wanted to say hello and say that this site is so great! I've never been one to watch trials, but this one has me hooked like crazy.

She is currently unemployed as are many Americans. She was talking about a job interview she'd just had the day I met her. She's been open about her dream to get back in to some kind of journalism as this is what her degree is in. She's worked in journalism before, has been a host on some kind of local TV show, has worked on political campaigns and her dream was to once become a prosecutor so she's been talking to Beth etc. about going back to law school.

Like many people being unemployed I imagine she has some kind of savings or support to help her through this period. She is by no means "lazy" or anything like that.

She is very interested in this trial, very concerned about the victim's family and Dr. Drew has taken an interest in her (I mean as a court watcher) so made her his regular Dr. Drew's Juror. He could switch among different viewers daily but as his producer told me "he really likes her perspective". She's still juggling her search for employment with this incredible opportunity to be involved, on TV, with her huge passion. She's been watching trials, like many of us have, on her own for a long time.

I personally think she has a natural poise on Dr. Drew. I was a nervous wreck sitting next to her but she's just naturally comfortable and it shows.

She turned 27 last week.

And she joined Websleuths this week and is going to post (I think) on the court observer thread.

I hope posts like this don't scare her away. She talked about, having read some snarky posts on here about her after joining, that she'd have to develop a thick skin. I assured her the moderators wouldn't allow people to jump her here.

How about we consider she is using this unfortunate period of her life being unemployed to be doing a service by getting up at 5am every day to get to the court to get in line with everyone else to navigate the fruits and nuts who also show up, in order to get in there and at least for one reason to "report" back what she's seeing in there. And she is definitely in the camp of the prosecution and being she's not a professional journalist, like the rest of us Joe Nobody court watchers, has the privilege to show her bias.

Everyone who meets katie in court, that I've interacted with directly, likes her. She's a sweet gal. Unlike me, she's nice to everyone in there.

I can see where she might push people's buttons because she's opinionated, outspoken and drop dead gorgeous.

While I appreciate your input, did you have her permission to post such personal information about her? I would let her say what she wants to say. I would be annoyed that someone took it upon themselves to say what they think is my story.

I'm going to have to side with feeding her and not allowing this unreasonable food rule by the Sheriff open yourself up in such an important trial (or any inmates) trial to a problem down the line. Why die on this hill, this does not seem the battle I would choose to fight.. Over a cheese sandwich and a bag of chips?

I understand getting them up early, heck I get up that early. I don't understand why they can't send a sandwich with them especially if as they indicate its a Class 2 Felony for anyone to hand her food other that the Sheriff or his Deputy.

I would say, ok problem solved, here is her sandwich, now get on the stand.

I was wondering about that yesterday. Especially the photo of camera on ground with her shoe in it. She is not running down the hall away from him. The sheer fact that this photo was taken proves she was not in a fight for her life. She was too busy taking pictures of crime she did. Even if she kicked the camera by accident, she is there and it proves she is not running away.

Someone can throw her a Cinnabon. Heck why is it so hard to toss her a bag of chips or something and get on with the trial. I wonder if they asked about this, are they not allowed to throw her food? Do they eat in front of her?

I've never seen the 48 Hours episode Juan is playing in the courtroom. My God the Cinnabon story! It had layer upon layer of detail. And yesterday with the Iris story. She said she sent 20 to TA's Grandma and a note that was "short and sweet." BUT IT WAS 18 PAGES LONG!!! Who does that?! Evil has a face and its hers.

Think about it, a female prosecutor could not allow Jodi to compare her to Travis! and "men like you". She would be stuck with a female prosecutor and her true colors would come out ! Juan is barely budging her.

I hope the jurors aren't thinking that way with the firm, set stereotypical thinking when it comes to the involved parties, ie the victim and the defendant. That sort of thinking of narrow, established gender roles is really frightening to me both in and out of courtroom settings.

JA's big problem is that she is incapable of giving a straight "yes" or "no" answer to ANYTHING she's been asked.
The reason your "brain is scrambled" JA is b/c it's becoming increasingly hard for you to keep track of all your LIES.
