That was one of the words that had never come out of my mouth

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

well, I have to admit this......up til yesterday....I have never even heard of this word before......hubby walks thru the door after work and I asked him about it.....he even blushed and said...."Dear, that word has been around forever"....I hadn't a clue.....:blushing:

Can we all agree that this girl doesn't have all her marbles? Does she deserve to die?
Someone 'not having all their marbles' denotes, to me, a distinct inability to control oneself.

That's not Jodi. She is a cunning, deceptive, adaptive, manipulative, sadistic predator. I am convinced if given the opportunity it is very likely she will kill again.

Due to her actions leading up to the crime, the brutality of the crime itself, and her actions after the crime, including providing false testimony to further cause damage to her victim and pain to his family, the only answer for me is yes.

Travis' family has been more than vocal over wanting her to receive a sentence of death. I'd support them in wanting that anyway...but after her testimony I too personally want it for her. Possibly more so than any previous defendant facing such a sentence...Scott's such a close one though. A case near and dear to my heart.

:moo:

Didn't see the article! Would you mind bumping it up (I think this is the appropriate web lingo for this) for me to read?

snipped for space & BBM
3) She has a clear pattern of stalker behavior. She views any contact by her man with another female as cheating. She will go to extraordinary lengths to keep tabs on her men, including blowing off her job to snoop.

That's something I really picked up on too. She'll ditch her job/responsibilities (and most likely like to her employer) to take off and sometimes drive for hours to go confront somebody about "cheating".

To me that is uber creepy and downright scary.

So as she is driving for hours there isn't something that pops into her scrambled brain to tell her that her actions are over-the-top or crazy or anything else. There has always been something missing in her thought process.

Plus JA has demonstrated to all of us now that she still thinks, after all these years her actions were justified with Bobby and with Bianca.

Did anyone else notice that yeasterday, Juan used the Court Reporter, Mike, to repeat questions Jodi had asked Juan to repeat?

I think it is of note because can use it to extract himself from the quibbling, take a rest and review his point and direction, all while his exact words are being slowly, calmly, and carefully are re-read exactly by someone else.

Brilliant strategy to defelect her defiant, aggreasive, evasiveness. He doesn't get "caught up" in the game, he steps back, allows the court reporter to do his job, and composes himself.

I think most folks would overlook this or not attach any importance to it, but (to me) it shows Juan is aware he gets caught in the weeds with her and it throws him off track, and he found a solution.

How would the Ninja story have caused the family more pain?

Based on that quote where she said she didn't mean to cause them pain (or however she said it)

The falsehood she told was that intruders killed him, and she even called his family and said how sorry she was he died etc.

I don't think she is admitting she lied and killed him herself.

I have said countless times I want her to get the death penalty because she deserves the death penalty. Not only for the extremely brutal way she murdered her victim but the fact that she has lied about him in such reprehensible ways trying to get away with the murder. That is doubly offensive to me and unforgivable.

I want her locked down 23 hours a day away from any enablers who will coddle and enable her is she is put in GP.

IMO

BBM

I am shocked by how much "support" she has gained from her fellow inmates. I had hoped she'd end up at the bottom of the food chain, but she really seems to be able to handle the other ladies.... how is that possible?

Don't know why but these lyrics from Lyin' Eyes resonate with me ...

On the other side of town a boy is waiting
With firey eyes and dreams no one could steal
She drives on through the night anticipating
Cause he makes her feel the way she used to feel

She rushes to his arms, they fall together
She whispers it's only for a while
She swears that soon she'll be coming back forever
She pulls away and leaves him with a smile

She can't hide her lyin' eyes,
And her smile is a thin disguise,
We know by now,
She'll re-a-lise,
There ain't no way to hide her lyin' eyes.

[With apologies to Glenn Frey]

 Apparently all this time, no lunch.

The one day that Jodi did not have water, or fresh water, she made a point to tell the judge. That same day. If the lunch was not given to Jodi all during this trial then I would guess she doesn't eat lunch. For years and years I skipped lunch. No big deal. It is an issue now because it stopped the testimony and gave the defense the evening to regroup.

Just catching up from yesterday so I apologize if this has already been stated.

Nurmi claims that JA has a migraine. Watching her demeanor, I don't think they actually know what a migraine really is. There's no way she would be her normal self if she has a migraine. I've had migraines and I can't go into a bright room like that! Lies, lies lies.

I have a funny story about that word and an old friend of mine. I can't tell it like it is here because I would get a time out but whenever I hear it I think of him and sandwiches.:floorlaugh:

No doubt Flores' office and Juan's office were having some laughs over this after court.

So true...that was brilliant and knocked the wind out of her smug little sails.

I think the only reason they "support" her is it gives them a chance to be interviewed on T.V. and in the printed press.

Can you honestly say she knows the difference between fantasy and reality?
Yes, I can honestly say Jodi knows the difference between fantasy and reality. She shows that - has show that - from the very moment she lied to save herself from getting caught. All of her lies are designed to do one thing: save herself from Death Row. She knows exactly what she is doing, and she's well aware of the reality.

From the moment Jodi slaughtered Travis, to the moment she took the stand and smeared his name - every thing Jodi has done has been because she didn't like reality: Travis didn't want her.

Jodi knows the difference between reality and fantasy, she just doesn't like reality.

** The Journal *** I have this really bad feeling about the journal

Jodi claims the journal went with her everywhere she went, presumably to Travis’s house as well. She also claims Travis had done his own snooping on occasion.

I have this bad feeling that defense strategy may change their tack to claim that Jodi wrote her journal entries with either the hope or expectation that Travis might read it --and that’s why she never wrote anything bad about abuse or pedophile activities. Their point: her journal cannot corroborate the abuse because she wrote her entries in part for Travis’s benefit.

What really bothered me was the laissez faire way in which she wrote about Travis going on his 2nd date with Mimi. *I* wouldn’t have been so nice in *my* journal.* Instead and I would have had really bad names to use for both parties, yet she writes about how she loves him. She doesn’t say that she loves him and is tormented by him seeing with other women – she simply says she loves him and he had a great date with Mimi. NOT NORMAL.

It’s almost as if she wrote it with the thought that Travis might read it and see how much she loves him and how flexible and understanding she was – ie., marriage material. Frankly, her journal entries really bother me – they are not negative at all, even when the nasty texts Travis sent surely warranted some normal venting on her part. -Nothing- I really do thing the journal was faked to make her look good to Travis. And the defense can use the resulting output to their benefit.

It's very clear by her responses of "of course" and "I would never" that there will be lack of negative things in her journal. "The Secret" will be used to explain this. "Of course I wouldn't write that in the journal." She was always in protective mode, doing all she could to protect Travis' image (said tongue-in-cheek).

But it doesn't matter. There are so many other ways to prove her lies. For example, the phone text messages the day she "caught TA masturbating". Look at those and consider her testimony. Both can't be true.

If the journal doesn't get her, something else will. Besides, it doesn't even matter, IMO, anymore whether TA liked little boys or not. I don't even care about that. Her premeditation of his murder is very obvious to me now. Her finger wasn't bent in May, carefully (kind of) hid evidence of being in AZ on May 4th, she ran into a closet (she didn't really, but that's what she has testified to) instead of out the door to escape the "fight". There is so much evidence against her, not the least of which is she is a lying, tough, belligerent hard-a$$ on the stand. That chick wouldn't take chit from anyone.

She's so guilty of premeditated murder. I can't imagine even one juror having an ounce of compassion for her at this point. I started out believing her. Now, I find her the worst kind of despicable.

http://pathwhisperer.wordpress.com/...earch-today-how-to-cross-examine-a-sociopath/

4. From both David Hampton and that SVP I concluded that the self control of a sociopath is only relative, that it is difficult for them and can slip at any time under the right pressure. That’s what the cross examiner should aim for. (I also concluded from that SVP that sociopaths recognize and protect each other. If at all possible screen the jury to prevent the seating of fellow sociopaths.)

Ask medical or dental personnel how often they run into patients who attack them upon their giving injections. This is one point where the curtain is ripped away and the sociopath (some sociopaths) will react like an animal under attack — all self control is thrown aside by the dictates of self defense.

5. Show as much disrespect as you can get away with. In sociopathic gangs no one lights another’s cigarette just to be friendly. It is all defined by the food chain pecking order. Similarly being polite is taken as respect for their place on the food chain vis-a-vis yourself. We were all taught to do unto others as we would have done unto us — this is totally misunderstood by sociopaths. Speaking for myself, I was raised a Quaker and I find it almost impossible not be stay polite. However, looking back, there were definitely times when that was a mistake.

6. Sociopaths are very elemental. Such simplistic tactics as having someone stare at them can be very unsettling for them. Or put together a legal team of big, imposing individuals. They seem to think that the civilized world is only onion skin thin and at any time the world could revert to the law of the jungle. You want them to stay off kilter.

7. Depending on the circumstances, the cross examiner may want to let the sociopath ramble in order to disclose their arrogance and disordered thinking.

Not only does she have all her marbles, she uses every opportunity she can to take anyone elses marbles. JMO

For lunch I think the sheriff's office should give her one large Cinnabon, a Toberlone, a pack of Pop Rocks and three Tootsie Pops. I'd like to see how she would do on the stand after a huge sugar crash!

Don't forget that there may be members of the jury who have diabetes or other illnesses, and need to stick to a rigid schedule. It could be that Nurmi is making sure the jury (not him or his client) is well cared for and respected, so that the jury will not develop resentment toward his client.

BBM That would be most considerate of Mr. Nurmi - but surely the well-being and comfort of the jury is the judge's responsibility? In any event, I think he would be a little too late with any effort to have the jury not resent his client.

I have no idea what his true motive is for the precise cut off in future, but it ain't going to help his client! IMO
