I am shocked by how much "support" she has gained from her fellow inmates. I had hoped she'd end up at the bottom of the food chain, but she really seems to be able to handle the other ladies.... how is that possible?

She is using her psychopathic behavior to manipulate them. She needs them. Wait till she is done with them. She will roll over them anyway she can.

As for the food and headache issue yesterday....she wanted to stop JM. Something is up.

Even if JA had said 'yes, I murdered Travis in cold blood and deserve the DP', she still would have had officially plea 'not guilty'; found guilty by a jury of her 'peers' to be sentenced to execution.

There are some here who have basically called me stupid and implied other things about my IQ, but even though I'm not an attorney, I know what I'm talking about here from personal experience.

After the execution, the loss of my murdered loved one was still no less painful. There was no 'closure'. The only ones I could see affected were the Family and loved ones of the criminal.

I firmly believe if Jodi is EVER released from prison, she will kill again.

Excellent point, I think the same thing again...and even wondered how one goes from non-killer to vicious murderer in one fell swoop? And don't worry about anyone disagreeing with your views, that's what this forum is all about, different views....we all learn from each other.

It would be a waste of time to be sympathetic, but I fear it may be so. I do have one question, which may have been covered, but it seemed to me that the photos she took of Travis in the shower before her flurry of activity may have been taken by her for her own "trophy" use, as we have seen so many killers do. He may not have initially known she was taking the pics, and when he saw that she was, tried to get the camera, and it may have started the mess. I don't believe he wanted her to be taking his picture, especially if things were over....and tried to stop her. She may have been in the mood to share her pics online, to "prove" she had been with him, which a jealous woman would enjoy doing, or perhaps keep them for trophies.

If Jodi would stop playing word games and just answer the darn questions, the prosecutor wouldn't have to stay on one subject for so long. Jodi created the very situation, yet the jury might feel sympathetic towards her because the prosecutor is hanging on one subject for too long?

I'm so confused.

God, please, please, please don't let this jury be another P12.

I think she may be quite prepared for testimony with JM about the murder. This is where she has practiced for 4+ years. Her lack of remembering has set a pattern so when she gets to that part, it won't be something new for the jury to hear. She will spin what she does "remember" to the hilt. I would love to see him trip her on when (if) they get to the murder, but I'm not at all sure she won't end up scoring points. She's going to get all "victim" on him. It will be interesting to say the least.

Juan has been planning this scene for 4+ years too, and watching every word she said, and how she said it, through 8 days of direct. I'm sure he is ready to twist and turn in the wind with her when they reach this point, but he will never lose focus of where he is heading, and what he wants the jury to hear. He will extract what he needs, one way or the other. IMO :great:

That isn't correct. She could plead guilty and still have the sentencing phase and be sentenced to death. imo

excellent point. She is very young to be able to maneuver like this, and she is very dangerous.

I really would have believed the same thing but when they touched on the murder, it seems all she had to say about it was nothing....all a big blur, she forgot, she was not sure...blah, blah, blah....I think she may become "victim like" but I do not think she will reveal much and what she does reveal will be a lie, IMO. I just know listening to it and being able to move around and do other things it is still excruciating, I cannot imagine how tired the jury is at this point. A few of the WS'ers that have been in the trial have said sitting in there it seems so much longer than watching or listening from home.

Hmmm, I admit it's been awhile but I don't recall the "don't look at fat people" part. I think the concept is correct and right...focus on what you want, think positively and good things will happen. There can be exaggeration in anything, but the power of positive thinking is real. IMO

The words they used were "not to observe" overweight people. It's in the part about controlling your weight. I believe in positive thinking, but I do not believe that bad things will happen to you because you thought them into existence. As a cancer survivor, I take issue with that book saying I brought my cancer on myself because I didn't think enough positive thoughts.

way back when she first took the stand (seems like years) i remember thinking "was this her first kill" i know its highly unlikely that it wasn't her first but she is that psychopathic it makes you wonder.

that NG jail tour was pretty good, she ain't getting out of there. worrying she told that woman she scattered his body parts though

Don't be surprised if Arias feigns illness today - she knows there's a freight train coming !

I may have missed this as I can't watch the live stream trial, but dvr on tv. I have seen him point out there is no other evidence of his physical abuse of her other than her word, however has Juan challenged Jodi on the fact there was absolutely no evidence of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 on TA's computer and the search of his home?

  • #1,572
Regarding the gun ... if McCartney was such a good friend of Arias and would never betray her, why didn't she seek his help in obtaining a non-traceable weapon, rather than stealing one from her grandparents ? This is even more puzzling to me as isn't he the one who supposedly forged the letters from TA to Arias ?

She had asked Matt for a gun, " to kill herself " but he did not give her one.

That's repellant to me. If I read that in a book, I'd close it and never, ever open the garbage again.

Just IMO

OK, sorry for the OT.

*back to trial*

He's doing his job. Should he back off from doing his job, or cater to the possible juror(s) who sympathize with her? It seems almost like people are afraid of juries. We just can't be. He has to impeach her, point out all her lies and try to get a conviction. We can't just say 'oh my, the jury might be feeling sorry for her' and not complete the task.
ITA!
If this were a case of "whodunit" I would be worried about the jury sympathizing with JA, if she were saying she didn't do it, and the evidence weren't so extensive (as was the case with the FCA trial)

But this jury knows she killed Travis and that has to be at the front of their minds during all of this. I don't think for a second they are buying this carp about the abuse. And that is because JM is doing his job and doing it well. JMO.

I never read "The Secret". Does it suggest that if your lover has rejected you that you should stab him 29 times, slit his throat from ear to ear and shoot him in the head? Just wondering...

  • #1,577
Hmmm. No lunches and migraines. Convenient back-up plan for Nurmi. He will be using this to explain why the answers she gave Juan were incorrect. Juan's aggressive questioning made her "head scramble" because she had low blood sugar and a migraine which caused her to be confused and to give the wrong answers. It also caused her to have memory issues while answering. I wonder how the jury will feel about this? I don't think it will fly.

Tell my computer that. Think its poor brains are scrambled. Its sick. I want it better. SOON. :please::please::please::jail::truce:

LOL I know what you mean! My kitchen TV, the one that's next to my computer just quit the other day, it is a little sad, it's of the first TV's hubby and I bought back in the mid 70's, guess it was just tired, my kids say it just couldn't take any more of JA's BS. Good luck with your computer :-)

Agree entirely.

She has already made crystal clear that other than the foot-chase 'round the bathroom and into his closet and back, taking "his" gun from the upper shelf in that closet and shooting him with it, followed by a brief struggle, everything else is a complete blur until she is driving westward in the desert with the sun brightly obscuring her vision in that chaotic, aural pattern as it frames the driver side sun-visor in the white, nondescript, Budget Rental car with the inverted license plates, his dried blood on her hands, and her hands on the steering wheel.

"There's a killer on the road..."

I realize this but she had previously testified that DB had taken the pic...Not her surgeon. Then, she said that it was medical!

I know. :D But we all know by "medical", she means " I was having my man take sexy naked pictures of me". :floorlaugh:
