IMO the "rape" implications are a set up for the expert defense witnesses. Something to the effect of *Jodi was so controlled/abused she even put up with Rape because it was "attention" from Travis*

"Attention" was a huge buzzword for the defense yesterday. Nurmi got her to say it every time he had a chance.

I noticed that, too. On cross, she said 'I liked the sex', yesterday it was all about 'well, I liked the attention from him". It's entirely possible she liked both the sex, and the attention.
In my opinion, it's not possible for her to be truthful about almost anything.

Do you all find it odd that JA keeps cutting her right hand? She cut it at work when she grabbed a glass. She cut it at Travis's on a glass (NOT) and yet she keeps saying she is left handed ?? I know she said she is ambidextrous, but it sounds to me that she is right handed. If she is reaching under the bar to grab a glass and straighten them, wouldn't be you be using your most dominant hand?

I just keep wondering how long she lasted at these restaurant jobs if she's that klutzy.

I am not an expert so I really do not know what they can prove. I would imagine that a persons handwriting changes and it would be evident if it doesn't match to the time period. jmo

i don't think anyone could do more than venture an opinion about that. again, it proves nothing. so she wrote it. big deal. to me the relevant part is WHEN did she write those pages and as far as i know, there's no way to prove that. she could have created these pages when she and nurmi cooked up her bogus self-defense claim, for all anyone knows.

i mean, what's next? this girl who supposedly was asked about a three-way? people lie on the stand all the time, for a price. it's happened in some high profile cases in texas. the cullen davis trial for one.

How unfortunate that the prosecution has to even bring up the sex topic just to refute the claim that JA was a sex slave of sorts. The defense has no defense for the brutal murder of Travis so they turn to these most irrelevant of issues to discuss during this trial. Hope the jury is as disgusted as we are.

Do you all think she actually enjoyed this sex or was she just using it to hold onto Travis because she knew that was the only way to keep his attention focused on her (holy run-on sentence)? I know there are a lot of women who don't enjoy sex all that much, they just go through the motions because they feel like its what they're supposed to do.

Did she start the sexual exploits because she craved it from him or did she do it because that's what she knew men wanted and she knew she could snare a man that way?

This DT strategy is not working, IMO! Before the DT began their CIC, I would have been contented if JA received LWOP despite firmly believing that JA had well earned the DP. Now, nothing short of the DP seems appropriate or acceptable.

Why didn't the DT go with a strategy of throwing JA on the mercy of the court and jurors - admitting full responsibility (pre-meditation and all) - in the hope that a juror or two would have sympathy and believe that she was repentant?

I understand that JA/DT are gambling on convincing just one juror and striving for something/anything less than LWOP. But, all I think they're managing to do is secure the DP. JMVHO

She had to show some type of injury to convince the jury she's not lying about the abuse. Her finger looks like the pictures you see when you look up cut tendon. Matches exactly. I don't think a broken finger would ever look like that, ever. There are different bones in the finger so it's unlike they all would have been broken. But the injury appears to be between the finger and the hand and that is why it is crooked. jmo

I still maintain that her finger shows signs of a cutting injury. She says he broke it by kicking her. No cutting. Never mentions how it bled all over the place. I don't think it is possible she got that injury the way she said.

Jodi claims that she is ambidextrous, so she probably has different handwriting styles depending on which hand she's using at the time of the journal entries. Of course, this is subject to whether or not Jodi is being truthful about being ambidextrous, but that's a whole 'nother topic. :moo:

i hope the jury is paying attention. because this whole 'i loved the attention' defense sure doesn't fit with her story that she was not 'in love' with him, was fine with him seeing other women, and didn't see this as a relationship with a future.

Driving 1000 miles TO her abuser is a HUGE problem for the defense, IMO. It just throws the whole 'abused woman' line out the window. That is one of the main points that disproves that claim.

I had wondered about that too, I didn't have an opinion about it until I heard the phone sex tape (the original, unedited version), that orgasm was fake fake fake. Playing sex kitten was definitely a strategy.
