why can't she just turn off the phone....

my mom had dementia....sundowning was horried---I was her primary contact and caregiver---she would affect me to the point I would turn my phone (would eventually listen to the messages --- but she was my mom--so I couldn't cut off all contact---Jodi could--

Morning testimony

Part 2

--Nurmi asks JA to read Exhibit 443 to herself.
--Nurmi asks if she sees where she apologizes to TA and tells him to have a great day. Says she just wanted to end that thing they were having.
--Nurmi asks how the confrontation affects her, says whenever he got angry she shook. It was like being in an earthquake, you don't know when it is going to start or how long it is going to last. Even though they were a thousand miles apart it still affected her.
--Nurmi asks for Exhibit 443 to be admitted based on hearsay. Objection sustained.
--Nurmi asks if she was afraid, she says not for her physical safety <feed cuts out>.
--Nurmi asks what she was afraid of. Says that when Travis got angry he just got ??? until he ran out of steam.
--JA says she felt bullied. It was miserable. It affected her, she can't really describe it.
--Nurmi again asks for Exhibit 443 to be admitted, Martinez objects, lawyers are asked to approach the bench.

JA says she was shaking like an earthquake, lmao, she has analogies for everything. JA over explains things, as if the juror are dumb and don't know what shaking is or looks like, hope they are catching on to this.

She is trying to look like an innocent and fragile little girl today.

I'm really, really hoping that she doesn't get too sick to testify when it finally comes down to the murder details.:furious:

Travis was so mean in those text messages, WAH,WAH,WAH!!!

  • #292
Can't explain it means I'm a tad sick today and cannot quickly think of a multi word lie as quickly as usual.

  • #293
Why do you suppose she is trying so hard to act crybaby today? She has testified to much worse testimony without blinking an eye. I'm confused.

The closer she gets to the murder the more tragically she will act. She's escalating the drama.

The 2 defense ladies just turned their head at the same time, maybe Jodi's family walked in?

One of the people who walked in has cut off denim short shorts on. WTH? in court?

Now she feels like she's in an earthquake when Travis "yelled" at her through the e-mail. She didn't know how long it was going to last, or if it was ever going to end.

And where did he curse her in the e-mail. I guess we're not gonna hear that.

Oh yah - this is gonna be a loonnnggggg day!

Yes, and she keeps on saying she never felt threatened physically. Hmmm...isn't that her defense?

  • #296
I can't BELIEVE she is crying over this. He's dead! What a maniac.

  • #297
To be fair she might be sick. Judge S was sick last week.

Personally, I feel no compunction to be fair to JA, unless the mood suits me - which it usually isn't. If I were on the jury, I would do what is legally expected of me, but it would probably take some effort on my part.

That said, I'm not interested in being unfair to JA other through my own opinion. I wouldn't spread false info (except by mistake, then correct it)... I think I'm pretty fair in my theories as far as how premeditated and vicious her actions are. :)

if you're SO AFRAID, block the cell number, delete the emails without reading them... you're 1000 MILES away!!

Exactly. She was not 15 years old, cut the teen drama.

I wasn't going to respond to the post on the last thread, but this has me a little irritated. First, let me say that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, of course. Here's mine. :MOO:

It really bothers me that there are people out there who seem to think that the responsibility for the dynamics of their "relationship" falls completely on Travis. Jodi is an ADULT woman and is just as capable of making the decision to walk away vs. continuing to pursue a man she knows has no interest in a future with her. It goes both ways!

Yes, maybe Travis was using her for sex. Ok. Well, Jodi was using sex to try and stay close to him. Maybe she did think that he would change his mind and "fall" for her, but she could've given up and stopped having sex with him at any time. She even says in her letter that she knew he liked his "bachelor status" or something along those lines. She also says that she's not his "secret lover" but a FRIEND. It seems clear to me that she knew where he stood, but made the CHOICE to continue a sexual relationship with him.

Why is it TA's responsibility to end it out of concern for her feelings? :what: For all we know, he tried and she told him she was good with how things were between them. Anyway, my point is, it went both ways and I don't think it's fair to place the blame on one side.

MOO
I missed most of today's posts but I think it likely Travis was manipulated by a psychopath. I don't state that to take responsibility off of Travis but to highlight that a relationship with a psychopath (or even a disordered person to some extent) just cannot be equated to a normal relationship.

There is so much brainwashing, gaslighting, and crazy-making involved it can become difficult to differentiate what's 'real' apart from the world the psychopath paints - and has you absolutely believing is real.

JMO

Meanwhile...Jodi FINALLY testifies to fear. But not for her physical safety. ;)

These threads move FAST during testimony. I'll post and then BAM it's 3 pages longer Lol.

What the heck? They got it admitted after a sustained objection?
