What I don't understand is how the defense can pick and choose which texts/emails come in as testimony?

Just like the shock of hearing about the 'three hole wonder' comment. What led up to having a pretty laid back guy reach that point?

Agreed. He said he was tired of her crying, ruining his every day with her soap opera, something to that effect!

It's become unbelievable, literally, how the defense is trying to depict everything Travis ever said as being abusive and nasty, such as the above.... of course he would get tired of her crying and her dramatics! She brought negativity to his life.
Their "relationship" was defined and he was more accepting of its limitations than she was (clearly). There was nothing he could have said or done to neutralize the threat that was JA and now in death nothing he said or did will exist untarnished, so long as she and her defense have the opportunity to rip him to shreds.
Stomping on his grave and his memory is her getting her way.
A conviction and sentence will be as close to justice as he'll ever get.

Jurors may have finally caught on. Travis asked her to LEAVE HIM ALONE. Jodi was the one that owed Travis money. Jodi was the one in some kind of fog. Jodi was the one always sending Travis the emails "meant" to be sent to her other guys. Oh yes, there were other guys in her life.

Where's the isolation that leads to domestic violence that leads to self defense? Not there because this is all about Jodi's foggy mind of murder.

But in the role reversal so evident in this case there is isolation on Travis' part with Jodi. To some degree at least he couldn't talk to his friends or family about just how crazy it had become.

You know the defence is just putting the jury right in Travis' shoes .. tired of her drama.

And we can be sure that when Juan gets up there he will quickly separate the pepper from the fly s**t, and that is when the jury will get it.

I was wondering, when we get to Juanderland and JM does his is cross, and then Nurmi does his redirect and goes on and on like he is doing on direct, will the jury remember JM cross? Is this all calculated by the defense? My opinion only.

If the jury has 'forgotten' JM, they're about to be re-introduced. And they will not forget his cross. No flipping way.

I wouldn't be surprised if a number of them are hoping his cross starts sooner rather than later... just like most of the rest of us (watchers, WSers, THs on IS and HLN... seems to pretty much be a general consensus at this point, and it would be very odd for 18 jurors to be so different that they are riveted by this defendant and this defense attorney that they want it to continue for as long as it can.

Not reasonable. As I've said before, I think at least some of them must be annoyed and/or insulted.

It would be really interesting to hear Nurmi's explanation for this strategy if he gives an interview after the trial.

I find Nurmi and his tactics hugely annoying, whatever they are, but I'm still really curious.

You'd think he'd be worried that this could damage his career, no? I don't know - it's a mystery to me.

from what little i remember of the state's case (i was so much younger then!), nurmi set 'em up and juan knocked 'em down. it's about CONTEXT.

we're getting these texts by themselves without context. i'm sure that's just part of what we can look forward to if she ever stops blathering on.
