I wonder if she fixated on Kjirsten, the blonde high school student who was in the audience for a paper she is writing about Domestic Abuse. She looks eerily like a younger JA with the blonde hair.

Oh so that's who that was. I saw her. She's in the wrong trial for a papre on domestic abuse. Unless of course she's writing it from the perspective of Jodi being the abuser.

Didn't JA say that TA got the knife to "cut the rope" from the block in the kitchen? Did I hear that right? I thought LE said that all of those were accounted for. Wouldn't they have checked all the knives for blood traces even if they had been cleaned to check for the murder weapon?

Wonder if he had a whetstone or steel or had someone sharpen his knives regularly... That cord would be hard to cut - I would think - with a knife... Would be interested to know how many and what type of knives were in the block. Likely a set with the standard: chef's, filet, paring, boning, carving, bread (or something similar?) Ceramic or stainless, or ?

Did Travis cook a lot - the type of cooking that requires knives used frequently enough to have them sharpened often?

I wonder if the sharpness was checked out by anyone. That neck wound just doesn't square (to me) with your average somewhat sharp kitchen/cooking knife/knives that most people don't sharpen as often as recommended.

I think she had a very strong (military/combat/ninja-type?) weapon. I think it was carry in - carry out. jmv

Many numb themselves with drugs and/or alcohol.

They don't need it. They're already numb. IMO they can be adrenalin junkies and thrill seekers.

so sociopaths and psychopaths just do not become depressed about the circumstances of their lives-ever? they just get mad?

They get EVEN!

Not always as in JA but usually in some way and they feel justified.

Hopefully there will be some on the jury who know about guns. 25 autos are not popular guns, they are very small and not a first pick. They were a popular gun back in the day but not so anymore. It's more like the type of gun you'd find a grandpa owning.

I hope they don't suggest that you stab someone 29 times first before you use the gun?

Nope.

Did she say one thing truthful today? I didn't see any thing.

She MIGHT have bought a strawberry Frappaccino. But other than that...:waitasec: I got nothing...

I thought it wasn't just that no knives were missing from Travis home, but also that the knives didn't match up to his wounds.

Anybody?

Am I misremembering?

That's the way I remember it

I have a feeling since they can't link her to a gun at all, she will say she did NOT shoot him and she has no idea who did. She will maintain she did not do that.

If she tries to pull that - I think no one would believe her and it would hurt her credibility even further (if that is even possible...).

Many numb themselves with drugs and/or alcohol.

And when arrested/convicted blame it all on a set-up, bad rap, victim who needed killing, everyone lying but them, etc. ime and

Yes, for the afternoon and all day Thursday.

Oh and yeah on the break I was talking to Beth about the whole In Session horrible situation (she's pretty devastated) and of course the "corset lady" from my first day in her bizarre outfit du jour blasts up and totally interrupts our conversation blathering about how much she loves the old Court TV, etc. There are some real nuts showing up there and frankly I have no patience for them.

I was able to give Beth a big hug and tell her how wonderful she's been.

I also talked to Jean C on the street who seemed surprised I even knew it had happened (they were just informed over the weekend) . But she was gracious.

Also I got to see PASA! Who got in herself!!

Hello Katie,

On behalf of all our fellow WS members, just want to thank you again for all the play-by-play summaries you have provided us. It has been fascinating and also eye opening to hear the scoop from someone who is there.

Thanks again for keeping us in mind and providing your summaries and good luck on the NG show. It sounds like you will be on Nancy's good side based on the subject so you should not have to worry about her "wrath". :rocker:

Thanks so much for sharing, Katiecoolady! I'm glad you're "cousin Katie" now; was there a reason other than they adore you that they said that? Someone else mentioned seating issues in court today.

Still not caught up with the thread but I gotta ask . . . .
FrayedKnot . . . . did you name yourself after my all time favorite joke?

(So a piece of string walks into a bar . . . . )

My thanks button is next to quote button. It's okay. I'll live in ignorance. :)

katiecool :yourock:

Sorry all, been busy in real life and skipped alot of posts to read katie's hehe

I think you are great, and it brought me to tears to see you say that you sat with the family and tried to be of some comfort and strength (which I am positive you were).

I remember reading a post of yours on the weekend where you said that during some of the appeal hearings for your sisters killers that sometimes it was just you and your Dad on your sisters side. I hope if you ever have to go back there that you find someone just like you to sit beside you :)

They don't need it. They're already numb. IMO they can be adrenalin junkies and thrill seekers.

Getting high for psychopaths is not about getting numb - they just like it, it feels good. Dahmer and Bundy committed their crimes drunk/high; it helped them shed their inhibitions.

Thanks for the great insider's view of your day in court, Katie! I'm not surprised to read the jury is turned off and are quite wary of the the Jodi show. Being lied to day after day after day has got to take a toll. Plus yes, Nurmi is so freakishly slow and boring and he's doing the testilying.

I'm sure what is getting TA's family through this is knowing this is all a bunch of lies and knowing that no one is buying what JA and team are desperately trying to sell. The defense is wasting people's lives with this looong drawn out torturous testimony.

The place is going to light up when Mr. Juan gets up for that cross exam. You are so lucky to be able to see it all up close, in person.

My sarcastic butt has to walk the dog in 30 degree weather so I will talk later. Have a good night and thanks Katiecoolady for an inside perspective of things.
