Wow, That is an amazing catch. I wouldn't be surprised if the prosecution already has it in their back pocket. I don't think they'll have left any stone unturned (I hope!) Kudos on some awesome sleuthing! :D

Oh, I think Juan already knows. When Nurmi was asking Jodi to give the date, Juan jumped in and said --it's already in evidence, she can give us the date. He wanted her to lie about the date because he knows when it was really taken IMO

Nope. Too late. I think she already offered to accept a guilty plea for 2nd degree murder, and it was turned down.

The question in the original posting was if A plea was offered could they do it. It was my opinion.. and I am NOT a lawyer or a chemist, that until jury went back a plea could be done. am I incorrect in this thinking, or is Arizona law different?

Yeah, in theory they could still agree to a plea deal. Any time before the jury delivers its verdict.

It's unfortunate they're caving to the ratings (I assume) this way. Instead of revamping with more live programming and less commentary from talking heads, which has led to their declining ratings, they cut back on the few redeeming qualities of the network. All about the $$$$ Well, there goes our "front row seat to justice"....

I used to watch Court TV a lot. Trials during the day, true crime shows at night. Once they went to TruTV I watched some trials. This latest change gives me no reason to watch any more.

I'm not a lawyer either but know several personally. A plea deal must be mutually agreed on by both sides. The prosecution has to offer and the defense has to accept. Juan isn't known for offering deals and he has an extremely strong case. She confessed to killing him. The only thing she can do is change her 1st degree murder plea from NOT GUILTY to GUILTY, but she will still face sentencing, no advantage other than not having to testify. A little late for that...

Ya know, every-time I think she *must* be realizing the gravity of her situation she shows up all chipper the next day with that "duping delight" grin that Janine Driver on Dr. Drew describes so beautifully, and I am completely "??????????"


I agree - except there is more on the table now - more than ever before.

The murder itself and the prosecutor.

Having to describe the murder in detail, answering every question she's so far kept a mysterious secret (giving her a sense of perceived power, and a sort of mystique she may want to hang onto for years to come...)

Facing this prosecutor who's sole purpose is to deliver a needle into her arm who she HAS to know will spare no detail and does not suffer fools or games AT ALL. Part of me thinks she enjoy dismissing him, thinking it some sort of 'win' - (a "nyah-nyah-nyah" in her childish, immature mind).

I'm sure I'm wrong, but I have this *little-little* feeling... Of course, tomorrow when things go along normally, I'll go right along with it. :)

I think she'd be dumb to move forward with explaining the murder and being pummeled on cross. I think she will end up with LWOP going through what will be so much harder, more painful, more difficult to divert or digress or get her story to match with facts she WILL be challenged on... It's been child's play compared to what she's about to go through.

She's not into looking like a fool or unfeminine,rough, vicious, mean, selfish or responsible for anything ugly, unseemly, pedestrian or dumb. She's about to be exposed as being all of these - and worse.

Before tomorrow's testimony ...try this:
count to 27 while making a stabbing motion....1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8...9..10..11..12...13..14...15..16...17..18...19..20..21...22...23..24...25...26...27.... say it outloud. Its absolutely insane. Even without the throat slashing or gunshot....no way is that self defense.....

I hope our hero prosecutor can drive this point home for the jury...Imo...

I hope Juan demonstrates with a knife to the floor just like that....1,2,3,4,5...etc

I saw a trial once where they did that. He can rest his case after this.

Being a paralegal a plea deal in Fla. can be reached even if the jury is deliberating. In this particular case I think the defense came to the prosecutor with second degree and he said no absolutely not we want first or the DP.

Yeah, that part was very noticeable. To me, it seemed she was so obviously lying that it didnt bother her about the other person going on the trip. It was really bad timing that her attorney brought that up at that time because it seemed so obvious she really was very pissed off still about the other girl getting to go.

The look on her face when she turned to her attorney and said something like she didnt even care or know about the trip or something like that.

Hope JM finds these things that can set her off on the stand. Light her fuse and watch her explode.

I agree, she is still upset she wasn't asked to go on that trip. Her change in tone was very noticeable in the courtroom.

I have faith in Juan, he will turn things around.

Jodi needs to come into court tomorrow and plead guilty and then give everyone an apology for insulting our intelligence. Especially to Travis family.

That evil woman is the most disgusting piece of work I have seen in a very long time.

Somehow her lies seem to be more personal than KC lies were. Jodis lies seem to be directed right at us the public.

I'm bummed that so many folks on here think she surprised him in the shower :( I think it's so much more premeditated that she had a plan to trap him in that shower. She had it figured out way beforehand, imho. She brought the weapons on purpose to that bathroom -- where there were no defensive weapons available -- and trapped him in that tiny shower, where he could only leave by one direction. I think she was able to convince him to sit down, even.

I don't think it's as strong evidence if she just surprised him. I think she planned exactly how to overpower him better than that.

The defense is already questioning why she didn't just shoot him sometime before. I seriously think she planned to sleep with him first and then kill him in the shower at the end instead of leaving nicely. The thought of her titillation about that as they were having sex blows my mind, but I think that's exactly what she did. Talk about murder-as-control! She had to feel wicked as hell during their intimacy. Pure evil.

She didn't happen to catch him in the shower (imho). No way.

The bit about her own car is constantly changing.

First I heard about this car she said it was repossessed.
Then she said she was going to give it back to the bank.
Then she says Travis was letting her use his car becuase hers was GOING to be repossessed.

Yet... MONTHS later she uses this same car for another excuse. Not that it's long gone, given back to the bank, repossessed... NO. She's "broke" and can't afford to change the oil and a few other very minor things that cost a LOT less then a rental car and a full on road trip vacation.

Right Jodi, we all believe you. :boohoo: Poor little thing can't afford anything so she is forced to rent a car for her fun filled road trip. Don't you just hate it when you have to go on vacation becuase you are broke?
