Someone committed suicide in the 4th Ave jail with one a couple of years ago, so I guess so. (Probably where JA got the idea for her story.)

I'm thinking ever since that happened..not anymore. Bet they use them and turn them right back in.

Did anyone else catch that not 5 minutes into JA's testimony that she was talking about how she and Travis had broken up, and she HAD TO have her social security card for a new job? And it was conveniently at TA's house. BUT the door's are locked and she saw 2 people making out and went in (maybe the doggie door)! That clearly, to me at least is evidence of her STALKING TA. I mean who needs their ACTUAL ss cardfor anything? That is BS.

You really do need ID to sign on with an employer, for immigration control purposes.

But yeah, they're in the bathroom, she dropped the camera and he came at her, she ran into the closet, and then went on for 5 minutes talking about an extraneous story! I thought I was hallucinating. Nurmi reeled her back in, i.e, "let's get back to the bathroom."

What a nut job. She should have gone for a psych defense. She is totally crazy.

Was that the bathroom they had such a wonderous sexual experience in?

She says he went after her to do her bodily harm. Pics please, note time on pics please.

Gun hidden in closet, not the gun stolen from grandparent two days after argument with Travis.

Jodi says Travis was like a volcano and just raging after she shot him. Oops, forgets how he got stabbed, but she did put the knife in the dishwasher she thinks.

Shame on You, Jodi. They should cut your tongue out for all the lies you've told, JMO.

Hypothetical question... If what JA said regarding an officer persuading her to do the Inside Edition is true... Could that cause any problems for this trial? Just curious because a lot of people are wondering if the closed chambers matter being discussed could be about that.

Jodi's description is that Travis was coming towards her from directly in front of her. She fired the gun with Travis headed straight towards her.

Jodi failed to lie about the bullet flying up in the air, curving around Travis' head, and traveling downward ending in his left cheek.

magnets!

I predict we will see a shaking, stuttering Jodi tomorrow. Unfortunately not because she is nervous (like we feel nervous) or intimidated by Juan.

But she'll want the jury to believe she is. She'll try to paint Juan as yet another big, bad man who's bullying poor little Jodi. She can only do that through controlling her behavior. JMO

I have a feeling that she will start out that way and then she will become herself and become arrogant, controlling and try to manipulate Juan, only, it ain't going to work.

You see shoes? They look like black socks to me... you can sort of the 'bumps' of her toes - and the shape is too foot-like for me to think it's a shoe (plus no stitching, no silhouette of a sole or anything else)... jmv.

Did she specifically say she was barefoot or just that she didn't have shoes on. If the latter, it could be socks... or she could be lying about being barefoot since she's wearing socks (imv) in the photo.

Anyway...

I see sock :)

Aha!! I think I just figured out why JA testified that she had no shoes on when she "awakened" in the dessert. It's because she really WASN'T wearing shoes during the crime.

Meaning: That's NOT a shoe in the pic where she's dragging TA. It's just a sock she's wearing.

Why just a sock? Because this was part of her premeditated plan. She knew a shoe could leave tell-tale imprints (like OJ Simpson's infamous Bruno Mali shoe imprints).

This way, there'd be no bloody shoe prints, Yreka-style dirt evidence, or foot sizing proof that a small woman did the crime. Probably a bright idea Jodi got from a movie or TV show.

A sock, however, would leave no such imprint. It would just smear any blood around, like a rag would.

I just had a thought. Perhaps the judge asked the jury to stay b/c they are considering that Juan should start his cross next Monday instead of tomorrow for the sake of continuity. If they decided to, they would call the jury back in to let them know court is cancelled for tomorrow. Hope not but with this court's calendar, who knows? I am just SPECULATING, I have no info to support this thought.

:thud:

Hate to say it, but maybe he knows she's guilty (as the rest of us do), & while he's trying present a defense, it's like Sisyphus pushing up that rock....would you want JA as a client?
Only if you left her alone with me in a room with loads of instruments that could conceivably be used as weapons. ;)

Don't forget the incriminating ROPES that she threw in the dumpster! Can lies get any more obvious?

quote=magpie;8897683]IMO Jodi is going to crack bigtime under Juan's Cross, and I think he should hit her hard straight out of the shute too. Why waste any more of the jurors time? They will thank him for it IMO. Jodi may well "confess" once again and beg for the needle (as she said in her interview) because she simply cannot keep all of the lies she told on Direct straight. She couldn't even keep the lies she told on Direct to her own attny straight for pete's sake. Stick a fork in her, she's done!

I do expect the defense to try a medic day at least once, if not the 1st day, then the 2nd for sure.[/quote]

Agree 1000% MagPie -- Prosecution needs to channel the anger everyone wants to see and has waited for since 2008...4 years, don't walk on eggshells...Let it rip!

I want to see Arias explode in anger...enough of this repressed, suppressed, depressed, whatever, appearance she puts on to everyone...

Note to Prosecution: Need to rekindle your fire, anger....Spend 15 minutes looking at Travis's crime scene photos...This is such a sad, miserable story

"Oh the webs do we weave, when we plan to deceive"

Yes, yes, yes and YES.

As you said he will treat her like every other 🤬🤬🤬 defendant who takes the stand. He's not going to play into the defense's fictional tale of JA as a wilting flower and treat her as such. He's not a prop in JA's play.

It's time to snap out of JA-fantasy land and Juan will bring everyone back tomorrow morning in the first question.

Exactly why is he expected to treat her any differently than another 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 premeditated murderer? Ive never understood why some think he should pussyfoot around and be a Nurmi robot.

This isnt even his first rodeo of putting a female on death row.

WA was also on the stand for 9 days...........claimed self defense (falsely) and domestic abuse (falsely.)

He knew exactly how to cross examine Wendi Andriano. (sp?) The jury gave her death like she deserved and Arias deserves the same punishment.

IMO

Travis seems like he was a law abiding citizen. Anybody know what the gun laws are in his state? I would imagine Travis would have gone through all the proper channels if purchasing a firearm.

In many states, the only proper channel one needs is a form of payment. If purchased at a gun show, one may even bypass the background check and waiting period.

IDK what the laws are in AZ, but if they are anything like they are here in LA, he could easily have bought a gun with no record whatsoever.

Not that I think this was the case. Just that it's very possible to have a gun with no paper trail.

In California you do need your original social security card presented prior to your first day at work at a new job. (LOL - I know this because we had to practically toss our entire house trying to find my son's social security card for his new job because they demanded it THAT DAY!)

I don't know about Arizona, but JA probably thought that was a good story to use as the reason she was at Travis's house because she has had what - a billion (?) jobs at various restaurants in California where she would have to present her card.

As for it being at Travis's house. That BS I don't buy.

I find this tasteless

It is tasteless. Travis' family have all been very brave and graceful. If I were in their place, I would have a giant wooden spoon, but I should not have projected my own feelings onto them. I'm glad the image made some people smile, but I'll be okay with WS mods yanking copies of it. I'm deleting the original.

I do think Juan will have to watch what he says and take it a little easy. He could turn the jurors off if he goes full force on everything. JMO

if i were on that jury i would want jm to get answers. i would think that the jury is scratching their heads tonight. she did not give them any information about the killing that would make her seem in danger. she claims she can not remember details about killing him. i think the jury will be leaning on jm to get answers. jmo

Like she did about the CD? Travis threw it, it ricocheted off the wall rolled on the desk and then hit her on the head across the room. Sounds too fantastic to be true.
MOO, IMHO :)

She has quite a line of bull to say the least.
