i think it would be a huge mistake not to cross examine her. it's his one chance to ask her questions. it's rare for a prosecutor to get this opportunity and he must use it to nail down his case against her.

Of course I do agree with you. I just think at this point, the jury is ready to stick a needle in her arm.

Woke up this morning with a smile, will be wonderful not hearing " so, let me ask you this....." or, " how did that make you feel ?" will probably take a few days for those words to quit bouncing around my noggin.

The one I keep thinking of and I'm pretty sure is what woke me up at 6am is, and let me ask you this, at that point in time...:floorlaugh:

Good morning! Just have to run this by you all.....I may have dreamed it! Didn't JA state that the last thing she remembers is the gun going off? Then she remembers nothing else until she "comes to" driving down the road with blood on her hands? I swear I heard her testify that she remembers putting the knife in the dishwasher. Did I just imagine that or was that a major slip up on her part? :waitasec:

You didn't imagine it......IMO she made several major slips and I am sure Det. Flores and Mr. Martinez didn't miss it either!!

Seriously Sleuths - does Juan even need to cross?

What does he need to say? JA did it all for him. Even untrained folks here can itemize the list of JA inconsistencies she has testified to. Not being flippant.

After yesterday's testimony I thought the same thing. It would be a crazy day if he stood up and said I have no questions Your Honor.

yeah she was that bad yesterday

Yes, he needs to cross. He needs to bring the case back into clear focus and why the jury is really there. The Nurmi and Jodi show was a side event.
imo

BBM: :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: It was like watching one of those dumb "reality shows" :innocent: I better not name any ... LOL !

OK. Gonna get some work done so I won't feel guilty about not working this afternoon!

Imagine - you shot someone in the head and a couple of weeks later you quite happily go buy a gun. This gun, supposedly, was to protect her from a group of 'men' she was going camping with in the wilds. Only gal. Say much about her?

What bunch of guys really wants one gal tagging along on a trip in the wild? I remember a friend of Travis's (aren't they all?) that said they tried to get her not to go, they didn't want her along and joked about being tempted to leave her in Mexico.

I think Jodi planned on worming her way into going on this trip if she could. tHIS 'trip' ws just a cover story for buying the gun. IMO

I personally believe she never tried to kill herself. She thinks way to much of herself and only herself.

Sent from my R800at using Tapatalk 2

neither do I...I am tempted to call the jail to find out if inmates are allowed to keep razors....but I am sure Mr. Martinez already knows. I hope he brings it up!!

what will be wonderful for today will be that Juan will not let her drone on and on. He will provide the statement and she answers yes or no.

I predict a LOT of interrupting by Arias today and a lot of "just answer the question... yes or no...."

It will be just Juanderful!:seeya:

Great catch. Her testimony was that she remembered nothing after the gun shot. Nothing AT ALL about the stabbing, slashing. Then she remembered putting the heinous weapon in the dishwasher.

OMG

this also makes zero sense to me. she took the gun with her, and the dreaded rope. why would she leave the knife there? of course she didn't---i'm sure all those knives were tested and it's harder to get blood off a knife than people realize.

she brought the knife and she took it with her, just like the gun. she's a liar of the highest order.

She also remembers the sound of the knife hitting the tile - and according to her gun went off by accident and from there on it is mostly a blackout - seems she went off script!

She said she vaguely remembers putting a knife in the dishwasher but since she had done that so many times before, it could be a memory not related to that day or some such BS!

Juan to Jodi, "Let's go baaack to your early childhood, did you know you were a lunatic then? Well, tell us, how did that make you feel?"

I can believe she made plans to go camping but she was probably going to be camping out on her way to Mexico to hide from police.

I would like to hear from these "men" if there really was a camping trip planned.

I love how Nurmi skimmed over the details of this. Makes no sense. She just shot her ex-boyfriend, knew he was dead, so she goes to buy a gun and makes plans to go camping with a group of guys that drink and she was going to be the only woman so she didn't feel comfortable and felt the need to protect herself. Plus the gun was hidden in the engine compartment of the rental car. Does anybody believe any of this nonsense?

A person would have some kind of PTSD issues after knowing they shot somebody to death. I doubt they would run out and buy another gun within a few weeks. WTH

When she woke from her fog in Nevada did she not wonder why she had blood all over her hands? We are to believe she saw the blood on her hands and washed it off with her Costco water and that was that? What about the stains on the car seats? What about the floor mats?

The only person who is in a fog is anybody that believes any of this garbage.

I've got my puke bucket handy for Nurmi and what I dread hearing over and over and over.... 'objection' and the two out of five answers from the judge being 'sidebar'. :P

  • #1,056
Yes, absolutely! But probably painfully slowly - more like sidebars, following a lot of explanation that will somehow manage to include boys underwear, her feelings, and no real answer to the question
Then JM asking the judge to limit her answers to yes and no, when she will say "i don't remember" many times.
Then finally a very frustrated JM asking her to read aloud from the police or medical examiner reports, receipts and other documents, to which she will add eplanations/opinions, or other comments., and JM repeatedly asking her to read what is written, without comment.

I picture the day ending when Mr. Martinez' head explodes!

Oh for the love of all things holy. Just got to work and realized I forgot to set the DVR, of all days! So glad I have you all here to keep me in the loop. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Juan to Jodi, "Let's go baaack to your early childhood, did you know you were a lunatic then? Well, tell us, how did that make you feel?"

He should say that but then flip it.....to "how did that make the people feel that had to be around you?':what:

Unfortunately yes there are a lot of them. Lots of them are in prison but not all become murderers. Many are highly successful and are CEOs of powerful companies. They get to the top because they have no empathy/sympathy for anyone and will trample anyone that stands in their way to get what they want.

IMO

That is really scary stuff. I mean when we see Jodi talking, it is like there is NOTHING inside of her. I would think to become a CEO you would need to be quite charismatic. I cannot imagine Jodi wooing anyone...except with sex. That is how I think Travis got so entangled in her web. But like I said, i haven't seen anything like her before. Remember Scott Peterson and Casey Anthony didn't testify. And ole Drew Peterson was an arrogant blow hard. But Jodi is just frightening. I truly believe the reason the two jurors nearest her won't look at her is because they are frightened of her. That is why I think this is a done deal. If Juan and Nurmi stood today and both rested their case, she would still be DONE. The jurors get it.

Someone did a diagram of what Jodi said happened. I'm having a hard time believing it. From what she said that's a whole lot of running around for a guy to do after being shot in the head.
