I've been watching the trial and lurking here. Just want to say, I disagree. He is definitely getting under her skin. Despite the smirk on her face, I think she looks VERY uncomfortable.

I want to know if Jodi's sheer arrogance comes across in the courtroom like it does on the livestream. She is really amazing. Her smugness, refusal to answer simple questions, game playing and contempt for Mr. Martinez is really on display.

I think she believes she is "winning" each round of questioning with Juan--but she's not! He is a man with a battle plan--he is showing that each and every incident of "abuse" she alleged is a lie. Travis is finally getting his turn.

This testimony makes me actually feel worse about what Travis must have gone through in his relationship with her - he was clearly in over his head with someone the caliber of this *person*. If she can be this smug and smirky with Martinez, imagine how she must have been with Travis. Ugh.

My ONLY worry is that the jury won't be able to follow this or see why it's happening. If we have people here who aren't understanding, I worry that there might be at least one on the jury who doesn't get it. Thankfully, there will be people on the jury that DO understand and will be able to explain it to the others.

I can tell you my bf dosn't like Juan and he feels he is jumping all over and confusing the jury and no making his points

I don't even think Juan is trying to get under Jodi's skin. If anything, her smugness and evasiveness, along with those laughs and snotty responses, shows she is anything but a victim. I am confident there is a method to his madness, and even if he has to go ten rounds with her to make every point, he MAKES the point and shows that she has been lying, lying, lying.

And as far as anyone finding her sympathetic because he seems to be bullying her...I dunno, she has admitted to the killing. So once those crime scene photos reappear - and you know they will - all the appropriate pieces should fit together perfectly to gain a first-degree murder conviction.
