I cannot believe how childish she is in that stand. The shrinks will be able to guage what age level this is.

this will not be well received but imo this is a terribly jumbled cross and i think you would have a hard time finding a top lawyer that would say this is a good approach.

im definitely getting concerned that there may be a juror or two that he is losing with this method regardless of what facts/points are being made.

JM is brilliant. Liars often can only tell their story one way - in sequence. If you jumble the details around, they lose flow. Since the events never happened, it is literally like trying to say the alphabet backward on demand. You could do it, but it takes tremendous effort. If something really happens, you can discuss it easily backwards and forwards. The jumping around is KEY in this case.

ITA. Jodi was over-rehearsed for her direct exam and knew exactly what would be asked and how she would respond. Juan is catching her off-guard: She can't anticipate what questions he will ask and how she should respond. Jodi will implode before this is over. :moo:

In my opinion Martinez is looking like a big loud bully. I don't like what he is doing. He is making Arias look like a picked on girl. NOT GOOD

As a feminist, I hate that women are still viewed this way. If Jodi were a man, this would not even be an issue. At all. Juan's style would praised for going after a murdering and not letting the defendant wriggle out from the truth, but because the slaughterer is a woman, she, the actual murderer, looks picked on.

Perhaps not enough bras were burned, idk.

Jodi has done these verbal gymnastics all her life and they are maddening to anyone she is sparring (talking) with. She refuses to answer simple questions. She leaves herself wide latitude in her answers. She forces definitions of the simplest words.

People like this use this and many other tricks you will see here to not have to come out and say that they lied.

Jodi knows Juan is trying to impeach her testimony. In direct, she often gave long-winded answers with minute details and, in some cases, the exact time. Now, she is picking all the verbal nits that she can.

Juan is doing a masterful job.

This, from a high-school teacher who taught many people just like Jodi. Oh, and a few parents will do this also.
