This to me sounds like a out of control kid/teenager and her parents were fruitlessly trying to keep control of her behavior.

I think you are both right on. She didn;t become this evil overnight. She was already developing back then and they didn't know what to do.

I knew what every piece of our household furniture looked like from underneath. When my Dad started yelling in Norwegian, and there was spittle flying from his mouth, we all knew to run and hide. He drank a bit too much and would flip out. I would hide under dressers for hours sometimes. So what. I love my Dad, to this day, and he has mellowed a lot. He's a big teddy bear of a grandfather. My gentle, sweet kids LOVE him. This is ridiculous!

I am with ya'! My sweet dad was not always so sweet when we were growing up (sounds like how your dad acted). He went too far - part of why I am against corporal punishment - but he was young and pressured and working too hard and frankly, we acted like little jerks.

My dear father died of cancer a few years ago. I would do anything to have him back. Anything!

The fact that this beast's dad has cancer and she is making these allegations and blaming her poor parents for what she did to Travis Alexander, makes me so sick. I won't hear any bad word against my father and can barely stand to say he wasn't perfect. This just shows me once again how evil this monster is.

Oh, this is really going to backfire! And she wasn't grounded for skipping ONE class. She was grounded for a cumulation of things, I bet. Sounds like she was really behaving badly and acting like a spoiled, entitled brat. You can hear her anger at her parents grounding her with no phone. Oh, this is so going to backfire.

mine had to pay for insurance, gas and drivers ed---they got their license at 18....when they got jobs....they used my car for a bit....
