My hubby does this too. It is to protect me if someone in a vehicle should jump the curb or if a surly guy comes up and wants to get fresh.

The way she goes on and on about her interactions with these men and how they all felt, the warm fuzzies, etc., all the details... LIES! Like drivng to the white chapel: its too idillic and chick flick movie perfect. Talking about having children? Kids that age dont act or think like that.

I love that we are supposed to believe that she had this terrible abusive childhood but was a foreign exchange student, and they let her foreign boyfriend come visit.
