Correct. The defense's leifmotive here is JA has always been a victim of abuse and being controlled if not frankly "beaten". First it is her abusive father then the dramatic adumbration to Travis Alexander - meet Juan Juarez the controlling beautiful Goth.
JA falls for vampires Goths apocalyptic bible stories and then Travis Alexander.

True she is pretty emotionless but she is well acquainted at least with rage. Also I have seen her glare at Juan during the trial a couple of times with evil eyes...I would be surprised if she can completely mask her disdain during cross. Of course, I'm hoping she can't and the jury gets a good glimpse of the real JA.

I agree. I can't imagine anyone buying the suicide explanation for "mark my words"......that's the expression Juan wants to elicit.
