My DH is Puerto Rican. That is a sign of respect and protection. All the males in DH's family do that for the females...it's a protective thing so they are out of danger from any passing cars.

Small confession ~ she did peek my curiosity on that. I was wondering if the cat she scooped up was the same feral cat that clawed the he// out of her arm in June of 2008.

She would be grounded from her car. Her dad would unhook something but she learned how to re-hook it up.

Sounds like she was a very defiant child.

Also sounds like she took the car when she was not authorized, hence the reason for the dad to disconnect it.
