Joining y'all late today and see that I only have hundreds of posts to read to catch up. Anything that stands out so far today?

--Burns stated that Jodi had six pack abs and was fit and physically strong.
--She was supposed to arrive to see Burns on June 4th and he never heard from her until June 5th. JA told him she had gotten lost on the freeways.
--She showed up and followed him in her car to a meeting. She was stopped by the police for having an upside down licence plate.

Then bring that evidence and at the appropriate time. Don't bring evidence that Travis was a sexual deviant and a player. That has no bearing on this case. Trying to insinuate that Travis deserved this isn't appropriate.

There is more latitude given during the penalty phase but during the states case in chief is not the appropriate venue to slaughter this man again via his reputation.

JSR, the defense attorneys, judge and defendant would disagree with you. This is the only reason there is a trial. Otherwise, she would have just plead guilty since she said she did it.

This trial is supposed to run until April. This is only the beginning. The defense will try to show that there was DV, so brace yourself.

I was on the phone with my husband a bit ago and mentioned the trial. I wasn't sure if I had told him about this case or not but I was watching NG last night and he must have noticed because he said, "I don't get why they are calling her a 'bombshell'." :floorlaugh: I said I don't either.

I will give credit where credit is due she is not a bombshell per se but she's a pretty attractive woman. She looks far better with dark hair and without those huge glasses. But she has nice hair and very good skin. It looks like she's not wearing any makeup to speak of in court and that's a hard look to pull off once you hit your thirties.

just a question and I know people will go crazy on me but honestly, is it not hypocrisy that people consider it character assassination when they attempt to expose areas of Travis but if anything is said about Jodi it must be true?

The victim is dead so I guess he can't possibly have led but she killed him so anything negative said about her is fact?

Domestic violence I can understand. I don't understand the relevance at all of Travis being a player or a ladies man. It means nothing to me in terms of this murder. If they can prove he was violent or had outbursts of anger I can absolutely see how that would be relevant. This testimony means nothing to me and it shouldn't to the jury either.

That's what defense attorneys do though. Throw a bunch of stuff out and see what sticks.

I noticed it in the CA trial as well. There was a lot of questioning that just seemed to go on and on and was meaningless imo.
