It was the 80's lots of teachers canoodling with students, it was common knowledge.

Yes, a teacher. I only tried it because I was taught to respect teachers and trusted him. It was at a party. Teachers and students attended parties together all the time.

Yep, the 80's. That was my time too (well actually late 70's early 80's). I was just being facetious, so I hope you didn't take offense. But dang, I was pretty ticked to fail that class!

I read her grandfather had cancer.

I never made my own, but I certainly drank as a young teen and the first time I smoked pot was WITH a teacher!

I drank in junior high even at school. Drank all thru high school.
Some teachers knew and did nothing.
Fun memories!

Holy chit. Really!?!? I don't think I ever even thought about drinking at school. I did plenty of other stuff, but never that. No way I could have maintained throughout the day on alcohol.

Yup! I had lots of fun!
I would have a fit if my kids or grandkids were like me back in the day!

That so totally doesn't sound like fun to me. All I'd want to do is go to sleep! I keep telling my dd I was a total goodie two shoes. Maybe I'm not lyin! lol

Never did no big fat doobies at school either LoL. I had enough trouble keeping my head on straight.

After school and weekends though.... the gloves were off!!!!!! Confessions of a 60's child LoL. Times sure were different then. Now I'm old and I'm sure it would give me a heart attack, or at the very least a panic attack. :shocked2:

Does anyone know who the witnesses will be on Monday? Has there been any kind of witness list released?

Maybe I have the wrong one. Is this the chick from Canada who along with her husband raped and murdered...including her own sister?

Yes, she was a cold hearted assistant killer. No remorse even after taking her own sister's life. Got married to the guy who assisted her in doing the deed. Now free and living in the Bahamas, I think.

First time poster, long time lurker!

I'm obsessed with this case. I can't stop wondering what was running through her mind, how she could inflict such a brutal attack? I almost threw up looking at the pics of his body. The horror.

Does anyone have a theory regarding where the knife came from? And how she finagled that camera/knife switch before the first stab?

She was also big into the "kinky sex keeps the guy" philosophy.

Welcome to Websleuths! Glad you're here!

IMO she planted the knife in the bathroom earlier and lured him into the shower to take pictures. She hoped he'd die in the shower and was pissed he didn't

I have theories. I still really need to see the pictures leading up to that last photo of him alive. I feel like those would show his frame of mind in those last few minutes.

Theory 1: She could have brought her purse into the washroom to do her makeup after showering. I am guessing the sex ended and he had a conference call at 7pm so both were getting cleaned up (she probably had the first shower because she was dressed in that photo of her dragging the body). If she had the gun and knife in her purse, then it would just be a matter of making sure they were in reach and distracting him as he is getting out of the shower. Not too hard. 100% planned.

Theory 2: Maybe she asked him to do a specific pose with his eyes closed. 100% planned.

Theory 3: They were having words (he could have been trying to get her to leave) and he went from the shower to the sink and when he got close she sprung the knife. Not necessarily as planned as theory 1 and 2, but she must have had some reason for having a knife and gun available at that moment. Perhaps the only reason she used the knife is that it was the first one she could grab.

That makes sense! I wonder if she told him to pose with his eyes shut or obscured in some way to ensure he had no warning it was coming?

Welcome to Websleuths! :greetings:

It's been discussed that her grandfather (she lived in their house), had a knife that would have been capable of inflicting the damage. Nothing has been brought out at trial, or into evidence, to support that yet though.

My theory is that she was luring him by taking the pics, tossed the camera (resulting in the accidental ceiling shot), and started the assault in the shower with the first fatal stab wound to his chest. All speculation on my part though.

Glad you decided to join! There are awesome posters here.

I like the way you think! The makeup bag point is spot on. I could also see Jodi packing the gun in her makeup bag and stashing the knife as a Plan B. My gut tells me the knife was wasn't in the original plan. Unless of course she's that INSANE and had two execution methods ready to go from the start.

I think it's been established that the ceiling shot happened after the dragging shot?

Thanks for the welcome! I really enjoy reading the posts here!

VERY interesting about the grandfather. I'm now thinking perhaps Jodi had this planned even longer than I thought, and maybe why she moved in? For access to stage a robbery and steal the murder weapons?

There was also a .25 caliber gun stolen from her grandparents home. Surprise, surprise, Travis was shot with a .25 caliber gun. Unfortunately the weapon was never found.
