But it's a fact that some girls felt it was too much

A friend of his explained it as such:
TAYLOR SEARLE, FRIEND OF TRAVIS ALEXANDER: Well, you know, she is really good at making people think that she is an angel and a super nice person. And she really is a nice person if you meet her.

When I first met her, however, I kind of got the vibe from her that she was putting a front up and that she really had different intentions.

And I think the way it played out is it seemed like those intentions were just to be really close to Travis. And I think, looking back, it seemed like she just wanted to be the one that got him, because he was always flirting with lots of girls and going on lots of dates with lots of girls and very flirtatious and social. And I think it was kind of a trophy or a catch for her to try and stake her claim.

So that`s kind of the vibe I always got from her. And I didn`t really like how she went about it.

This was from CNN transcripts JV-M program

I remember the woman attorney (sorry can't remember her name) said that about 'she was relieved he only wanted sex' not what the sex act was?

No, it was stated it was vaginal sex, and that he finished on her back.....keep in mind, this is according to Jodi so take it for what it's worth.

Why is it all his fault. Women also toy with men's hearts and stomps them flat and use sex as a tool in order to do so so I fail to see the point you are making other than simply he happens to be a male victim.

Was he the one stalking her......slashing her tires......creeping into her home when she was unaware and into her bed when she was sleeping and hacking her email accounts and trying to run her new boyfriend off by sending threatening emails?

No one has ever said that Travis was bad to Jodi. So just because they were consenting adults and had sex it somehow makes Travis THE bad person? Everyone that knew Travis ...even past girlfriends have only nice things to say about him.

I would never believe one word coming out of Jodi Arias' mouth even if I saw her tongue being notorized in front of my very own eyes.

IMO

Never said it's Travis' "fault."

Also never said I believed a single word out of Jodi Arias' mouth. I've gone by Travis' (alleged) blog/emails/IMs/myspace regarding what his opinion of her was.

While that's true they also repeatedly say what a wonderful man he was. (Ex-girlfriend flatly says he wasn't a saint but he was a great guy and the only man she's ever loved.)
True, I agree. I'm not disputing that....just pointing out he may have teased some girls (playfully in his mind) just a little much...nothing mean though.

Listened to a pretty good portion of opening statements but need to continue later.

I nearly fell off the couch when I heard it said that Jodi was promoted to an "Event Planner" at the time she starting dating the man she lived with for a while. An Event Planner????!!!! She must have followed the CA case!
BBM
I thought so to...

She could not have!
:what:
TA was killed 6/04/08 :(

Sweet Caylee was killed 6/16/08

JA and CA WERE BOTH ARRESTED 7/15/2008!!!

That is #1 on my list of similarities!!!
between these BRAZY CHORES!!!

It's in the opening statements as told to us by her defender.

and he ejaculated on her back.
I missed the first day :)

I wonder how they are going to introduce the pictures. "Do you recognize this vajayjay ?"

From the DT's opening statements I think it will be to show the "double life" Travis was leading. Jodi=dirty little secret whom he controlled and had the sex he couldn't have if he weren't a Morman temple member. How he had so much control over her that he would make her pose for pictures that most of us would find embarassing.

THANK YOU.

I've been all over the interwebz looking for information on this horrific case.....and not ONE single person that knew him has a bad thing to say about Travis Alexander, except the person on trial for his heinous murder.

MOO and stuff.

Yes, but the people saying nice things about Travis were, I assume, not having a sexual relationship with him. I think the sex is a game changer. More emotions running wild, vulnerability. His friends and chaste girlfriends would not have seen the sexual intimate part of him. I think that opens up a whole can of worms.:moo:

I totally agree. IMO, it does seem like he was using Jodi for sex maybe (and this is just my option) because he tried it with other girls and he knew he could not get away with as much as he could with Jodi.

This is just my opinion.

Highlights from the Defence opening statements:

1) Jodi was forced to kill Travis. "The million dollar question is what would have forced her to do it?" "In just those two minutes Jodi had to make a choice, she would either live or she would die".

2) Jodi did not always tell the truth. Jodi was scared about what had happened and scared about what she had done. She had absolutely no experience with police interrogation before. So when they talked to her she wasn't always truthful. Her fear and her ??? led her to tell different stories. Those stories were not the truth.

3) Jodi loved Travis so what would force her to take his life?

4) At the convention in Vegas where Travis met Jodi, Travis spent a lot of time wowing Jodi. Travis invited Jodi to the executive banquet and got her a front row seat. Travis tried to kiss Jodi but she stopped him and reminded him that she had a boyfriend.

5) Four days after the Vegas convention, Jodi and her then boyfriend Darryl broke up.

6) The week after the convention Travis convinced Jodi to drive up to meet him and stay at his house. At this time Jodi was introducted to the Morman church. Jodi went to church with Travis and his friends.

7) A few days later, Travis stopped in Mesa to see Jodi. They met at a Starbucks. Travis gave Jodi The Book of Morman. Travis sent missionaries to Jodi's house, once a week.

8) Two months after meeting Travis, he convinced her to convert to Mormanism. Travis was a very important member of the Morman church.
Travis was a temple member. Travis baptized Jodi into the Morman church. Members are not to have premarital sex of any kind. (This was in November).

9) In reality Jodi was Travis' dirty little secret. From the moment he met her he was pushing and pushing Jodi to have a sexual relationship. Travis pursueded Jodi to have oral and anal sex.

10) Travis found somebody (Jodi) who was easily manipulated and controlled. He could have a secret sexual relationship and on the outside he could still pursue the appropriate Morman woman.

11) Travis encouraged Jodi to date somebody else but when she would talk to another man Travis would degrade her by yelling and embarrasing her.

12) Jodi avoided Travis' temper by being humble, compliant, and agreeable.

13) June 2007, Jodi broke up with Travis because he was pursuing other women while he was still having sex with Jodi. Travis didn't want to break up. Travis begged Jodi for forgiveness. They never stopped seeing, talking or emailing each other.

14) July 2007, Travis sent Jodi a poem apologizing for his behavior asking her to be with him. Later that month Jodi flew out to Mesa to visit and that weekend Travis showered her with attention and he was nothing but sweet and kind.

15) Shortly after that weekend Jodi moved to Mesa and moved in with one of her Morman girlfriends.

16) Travis treated Jodi differently in the public eye. He degraded her to his friends. Claimed she was "crazy" or a "stalker". Also called her "🤬🤬🤬🤬" or "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" if she texted or talked to another man.

17) Travis distanced himself from Jodi to his friends and this made it easy for him to keep control of her and keep her for his own sexual needs.

18) The defence will be calling a domestic violence expert.

19) To his friends, Travis insisted that Jodi stalked him, Jodi wouldn't leave him alone. Travis had a t-shirt made claiming his ownership of Jodi.

20) In April 2008, Jodi found out Travis was pursuing other women. Jodi had enough and she moved away to live with her grandparents. Travis wouldn't let her go. He continued calling, texting, and emailing. He guilted her for leaving and Jodi fell right back into the relationship with him.

21) Even though they did not see other from April to June 2008 Travis was still able to use Jodi for his own sexual desires through the phone. The jury will hear a recorded call between Travis and Jodi. Made just a couple of weeks before Travis died. Travis tells her about his fantasies and how he wants to tie her to a tree and put it in her 🤬🤬🤬 all the way. Jodi pretends to climix and Travis tells her that she sounds like a twelve year old girl that is having an orgasm for the first time.
Travis discusses how he is going to Cancun with somebody else.

22) It was Travis' continual abuse that forced Jodi to kill him. He left her with no other option than to defend herself. On June 4, 2008 Travis threatend to kill Jodi.

23) Travis beckoned Jodi to come see him in Mesa.

24) Travis wanted to tie Jodi up. He was prepared with soft rope, like curtain tie back rope. Travis tied Jodi and used a knife to cut the rope. They had sex and Travis wanted to take pictures of Jodi with his new camera.
Travis liked to see Jodi in pigtails so she put her hair in pigtails.

25) Later they were in Travis' den looking at photos and there was a problem with the computer and Travis got angry and threw a CD against the wall. Jodi then went into protection mode. Jodi knew that sex calmed his temper. Travis then spun her around and bent her over the desk and had quick and rough vaginal sex, ejaculating on her back.

26) Jodi then went to the shower and rinsed herself off. Travis' temper had now subsided.

27) Travis wanted Jodi to take photos of him because he had been working out. Travis went into the shower and Jodi took pictures. Jodi accidentally dropped his camera. Travis lunged at Jodi in anger knocking her to the ground and there was a struggle. Jodi's life was in danger. This is not the result of premeditation.

Can this be pinned to the top of the thread along with the other timelines, photos etc? I would like to see how the defense addresses each one as the trial unfolds.

I'm assuming the State will introduce the pics if it happens in the next few days. Just based on the timeline of this trial. The Defense won't present their evidence for a while yet.

Yeah, and it kinda sounds like he and she were 'playing' on the edge with their private lives. Passion, jealousy, sex 'games', anal sex (which definately can be construed as demeaning) and oral sex at least on him (also can be construed as demeaning)... potentially explosive stuff.

Yes, and a growing and changing person who had every potential to be even better.

I apologize if I started the conversation about TA not being innocent in this. I never meant for it to be perceived as victim bashing at all.

I have lived JA's relationship with TA (from what all we know). I do suspect we will see texts and emails that the relationship was not over as was claimed by TA's friends.

TA's best friend and prior roommate drove her to the police station the day she gave her initial statement at the police department. He stated on national t.v. that he liked her and they got along well. So much so, he drove her without hesitation.

Now that she has admitted to the crime, he feels terrible. There is something more to this is all I was trying to say.

Again, my apologies to all that were offended by my line of reasoning.

You are not alone. There seem to be a few folks posting here today with good intentions but nonetheless the casual reader walks away with the impression that Travis is being bashed. That bothers me for a number of reasons.

We need to constantly remind ourselves that until this trial concludes we're all going to hear theories from just about everyone explaining why TA acted the way he did towards JA and more importantly we will hear what he should have done to eradicate himself from the relationship. The one voice we will never hear again will never be able to explain his side and everyone else's opinion is conjecture.
JA was on a mission and TA was that mission. Once she set her sights on him it was all over for TA.
By all accounts TA was a virgin when he met JA and that is significant.
TA was handsome, popular - well liked by both his male and female friends. If that is the case I suspect that in TA's 30 years on earth he probably found himself in prior sexual situations where it would have been easy to have done the deed. Apparently he had not prior to meeting JA.
Along comes JA and she is, we'll say more experienced.
So after avoiding the temptation to get laid his entire life he finally succumbs to JA's seductive charms. Wham. He's finished
Speaking as a man - I can hardly imagine the unleashed sexual emotions and desires that washed over TA. Poor guy he was thoroughly entranced and his second head took complete control of him.
Saying and speculating that TA lead a double life is just totally unfair.
The only evidence we have of this is with JA and we know it must have tormented Travis but he was powerless in lust. Poor guy.
Travis was talented, bright, successful and ultimately probably would have really made a name for himself. Such a tragic waste!
Ultimately - as much as he had going for him he was no match for the likes JA.
Was he perfect? Of course not. None of us are.
Lets remember to give Travis every benefit of the doubt. Only he could possibly explain so many mysteries that will remain that way because he can't.

I hope Shanna Hogan's book is really good.

And I hope she includes some of the 82,000 e-mails they wrote each other.

According to her, Jodi had a fairly normal childhood, she could not find anything in her background that would suggest that she would eventually do something like this.

(This is what I remember her saying on JVM or NG).
