He got it wrong: She was a 3 wonder, a master of 3 (weapons) by the sounds of it. Whooped him good.
I have to say, with all due respect, this post makes me very uncomfortable. I think it's disrespectful of the murdered victim.
She won't get the DP. More men on the jury, she's pretty. Won't happen. As for the women: women don't like being disrespected.
I think women are far more appalled by someone butchering a human being to death. I;m a woman. I would never, ever be sympathetic to a monstrous murderer like Jodi whether or not I felt she was "disrespected". I venture to guess more women are like me than the kind that think it's okay to kill someone for being a pig.
Just a quick note .... I'm sorry for the offensive language in the transcripts....I was just typing what was said in court. I hope I haven't offended anyone and I just wanted to state these were no my words - rather words of the victim - according to the Atty's and the Detective.
wenwe4, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your painstaking transcriptions! I really appreciate it! For those of us who can;t watch the whole thing, you are a Godsend.
I couldn't agree with you more. There are guys out there who do the booty call thing and string women along. In this case he played the game and lost.
Wow. This was not a game. I really can;t believe some of what I;m reading on this thread. It's almost like you're saying that if someone acts like a player they need to know they are risking being murdered. Wow.
Travis' friend who had them over for a weekend said she was creepy mysterious and soulless like you could look right through her, he was shaken by her he could tell something was not right. he said she would creep through the house never saying a word to anyone, eeek gives me the willies
I agree about her eyes... she has psychopath eyes. I don't know if she's a psychopath, but this description from Without Conscience applies to her perfectly:
Many people find it difficult to deal with the intense, emotionless, or "predatory" stare of the psychopath. Normal people maintain close eye contact with others for a variety of reasons, but the fixated stare of the psychopath is more a prelude to self-gratification and the exercise of power than simple interest or empathic caring.
[...] Whatever the psychological meaning of their gaze, it is clear that intense eye contact is an important factor in the ability of some psychopaths to manipulate and dominate others.
Again, I have no idea what she may or may not be classified as, but she fits the bill. Her eyes are frightening, I can't imagine Travis being stared down by her in his last moments.
Totally agree with both of you. And let me add: PSYCHOPATHS ARE NOT PLAYED. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO PLAY OTHERS. You can't fool or game play a psychopath. They know all the tricks.
This girl used her sexuality to try to control and possess Travis, IMO. He realized that at some point and was disgusted and felt used, but he also was seduced by her and felt it hard to say no to her, I think. That likely caused him to feel conflicted and angry with her, hence he was not respectful in the manner in which he spoke to her or referred to her at the end.
But I don;t believe for one moment that that is why this creep butchered him. I think she was enraged by his refusal to be possessed, his refusal to be controlled and mainly, his actions in dating other women. If she couldn't have him, no one could and she'd punish him for not being her toy before she destroyed him. :moo:
Not that I've planned or executed a murder before, but I would truly think that planning a murder and actually executing it would be two entirely different things. Even if a murder is planned, I would imagine that there would be a lot more to it than you see in the movies. I'm sure she was shocked by the amount of blood, etc. I think that it would be pretty messy and difficult to clean up, etc. I don't think that she could have anticipated what actually DID happen during the murder.
Precisely.
Also, you guys have to understand, she was not trying to cover up the fact that Travis was murdered. She was trying to cover up any trace of herself. She didn't need to clean up all the blood. Clearly, someone was going to find him dead so who cares if there was blood? But she did feel she needed to remove traces of herself from his body, from the bedsheets, and from the camera. That's why she washed his body off and did some "laundry".
Curious about the camera - I wonder why she didn't just take it with her and destroy it later? Why put it thru the laundry.
If I had just murdered someone, I would not want something in my possession for one moment that could link me to the crime. She washed it and probably thought that would be enough to remove finger prints and photos.
hubby called it a " temple reccomend"
I get this funny picture of your husband walking by and casually tossing off answers to your questions. I don't know why but it's cute and makes me laugh!
