Rumors have circulated for years about his sexual proclivities so I guess I'm really not surprised by this story. There are supposed to be many more masseuses who have had similar encounters with him so it sounds like this story won't be going away very soon.

I read about this yesterday too. I do feel badly for his family. I feel badly for him as well if the claims are unfounded.

I read the legal documents filed on TMZ's website. There are a lot of details. It may be true or it just may be a way to shake down a celebrity for cash. I really don't have an opinion either way.

What I find most interesting is that these men were allowed to file as John Doe's. In such a high profile case, their names are going to come out or they'll end up giving interviews. Just by filing the suit, they've already done damage to Travolta's image/reputation.

I am sorry to hear this, I think JT is great and he has had so much sorrow in his life. Not naming the complaintants is not cool, if they want to make the charges let them stand behind them, not be cowardly.

My favorite movie of his is Michael, I've seen it a million times. I'm sorry he is having these problems and wish him well.

What I find highly disturbing, is anyone at all, man or woman, forcing themselves on another sexually like what may have taken place in these lawsuits. I find it so offensive and if John did do this, I hope he pays for his crime.

We must wait for all the facts but also must remember, just because he is a celebrity does not mean he is above all others and not cabable of doing these henious acts.

I am sorry but this bit made me laugh. Yeah, his clients are the ones who are being judged. John and his family surely don't have that option now do they? Wow. til I see something credible, think I will withhold judgment on whether this case has wings or not.

Or, conversely, that he is capable. He is innocent until proven guilty; this seems more a money grab than anything. These people won't put their names to the charges, that speaks volumes. IMHO

I hear you, and have heard the same stories. In all honesty, whether he is gay or bi or whatever is irrelevant for me. If he did assault these men in any way, now that's effed up. Being a masseuse, escort, or prostitute does not give "johns" (lol) a free pass to rape and batter.

I've never heard rumors that JT is gay. Why would JT have to force himself on anybody? I'm sure if he is gay, he would have worked out having a discrete partner available to him by now. He's JT.
What are they accusing him of? Holding them down, raping them? What?

I think the new hit show 'The Client List' is bringing out the worst in the vultures of the world. They're after his money is all. They probably gave crappy massages so he didn't tip them (fill in large amount equal to whatever they expect a celebrity to tip) what they thought they deserved or he turned them down!

I'm remembering how devasted JT was when his gf, who was much older than him, died from cancer. Are people speculating that she was his 'cover' when he was young? I never got that impression.

Are JT's accusers gay or straight? If they're gay, then why not do whatever he wanted? Come on - they're out for his money, probably because he didn't accept their offers. If they're straight, why would JT, if gay, expect anything from them? Not buying it.

Assault is the operative word in this story; if there were proven assaults then they have a case.

Otherwise, I don't understand the obsession with who is putting what where. People's sexuality is their business.

My theory on why so many famous people find themselves in situations like this:

Famous stars can have virtually anything they want, just by making a phone call, or nodding their head. Men, women, people, are constant throwing themselves at them, just for the chance to say they've been with them (certainly, things like this don't normally happen to the rest of us). Eventually, with so many different "opportunities" being offered to them, they grow bored with what has always satisfied them before, and need a new "thrill" to up the ante. This could take the form of sex, drugs, alcohol, etc.

There are some grounded famous people, but they seem to be the exception, rather than the norm.

It is never about being gay, or bi. Who cares? It is always about sexual assault. I find if the person is a celebrity, we tend to think he is innocent. True, he is innocent till proven guilty. Yet, we all can have our opinions drawing from what we have read as those that feel the need to believe JT. And, I personally don't care if they were johns, etc, he has no right, (if he did abuse these men) to do so.

If I had a lawsuit against him, I may have to think if I wanted my name out in the public too. That never seems to help the victim when it involves a celeb.

Carrie Fisher outed him a while back in an interview and if you google "john Travolta gay" there are numerous stories about his escapades and not all of them are nice. In Australia just about everyone I know acknowledges that he is one of the actors who is living a double life and it seems it has been known in Hollywood for years.

I think that in these cases he has taken his "celebrity" status a bit too far and assumed these guys would definitely be up for it. I find that arrogant of him but also think these two are making money of it.

Saying all this, I think it is a shame that he has to lie. I, for one dont care that he is gay and love alot of his movies and grew up with Welcome Back Cotter.
To me if anything comes of it I think its about time that Hollywood needs to know that in this day and age the majority of us dont care about sexual orientation anymore and therefore stop suggesting and/or making that these people have to have sham marriages etc.

Oh and also dare I bring up the scientology avenue here............they think homosexuals can be cured.

Uhhh...if these men were sexually battered wouldn't it make sense to call the POLICE in a timely manner instead of calling an attorney later?

Oh wait...maybe these poor innocent masseurs were too traumatized and frightened to contact the authorities so they waited a while and called an attorney.
