ITA... There is a special place in **** for parent's that neglect their children.

"And in January 2007, four months before he bought a $670,000 waterfront home in a country-club community on East Lake Tohopekaliga, Baez was held in contempt of court for failing to pay $4,000 in child support, according to Miami-Dade Clerk of Court records."

Interesting reading here and many more details on J.A.B., including a "simple assault" charge mentioned:

http://vlex.com/vid/florida-board-ba...e-j-b-20848525

<<Specification 2(G) alleged that J.A.B. incurred an extravagant expense for transportation by currently leasing a Mazda Miata for $340 per month. Specification 3 alleged that an answer on J.A.B.'s law school application, which failed to disclose a 1989 charge of simple assault >>

<<In addition, J.A.B.'s conduct with regard to his finances as alleged and proven in Specification 2 raises very serious doubts as to his respect for the rights of others and for the law. He has ignored a default judgment entered against him, and this judgment remained unsatisfied as of his investigative hearing in April 1998. He obligated himself to pay for a health club membership which he admits he could not afford, and he voluntarily participated in a foreign study program instead of working during available time, while at the same time failing to comply with the child support order. He issued a worthless check in May of 1994 and continued to issue two other worthless checks, even after graduating from law school and securing permanent employment. Each of these instances of financial irresponsibility standing alone may have been subject to reasonable explanation; however, we find that when considered together and with his violation of the court-ordered child support obligations, these events show a total lack of respect for the rights of others and a total lack of respect for the legal system, which is absolutely inconsistent with the character and fitness qualities required of those seeking to be afforded the highest position of trust and confidence recognized by our system of law. Accordingly, we approve the Board's
recommendation that J.A.B. not be admitted to The Florida Bar at this time.It is so ordered.>>

What a dead beat dad! According to the docs, not only did he not pay child support when he was suppose to, he never obtained the required insurance coverage for the child! :furious:

He also wrote 2 addition worthless checks after the one he wrote in May 1994!

Those 3 worthless checks don't just show instances of financial irresponsibility, to me they show criminality.

From the looks of the records showing jB was not being in good standing with the bar for many years reaks with this man having no sense of the meaning of the word integrity. Once again we find the A's being supportive of another person who's charactor is questionable. There are so many stories of unsrupulous behavior around Caylee's case that it seems very possible to me that JB may have been the one to tell DC not to contact police. It is quite obvious JB hasn't been an advocate for children in his past, letting his own flesh and blood daughter go without her child support that may have enhanced her life while JB was buying cars and a 600,000.00 home. What a dead beat scumb bag! I'm surprised he didn't become a divorce lawyer reprensenting men who just up and decide they are not responsible for ongoing childcare responsibilites. Now we have JB and the other attorney who was less than honorable with monies of clients. This defense brood has me scratching my head. Will Judge Strickland be the deciding factor of JB's career since writing the complaint to the bar?

Wow! I just read part two!

Quote from part two of the OS article:

"In refusing to be interviewed, Baez issued a statement chiding the Sentinel for writing about him. Commenting on recent coverage, it said "your discrimination against a young, hard-working Hispanic lawyer who represents a high-profile client borders on racism. I wonder what reactions this profile on a prominent Hispanic lawyer will have on your readership."

O M G!! UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE! I'm at a loss for words here! WHAT IS THIS GUY'S PROBLEM?

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
Way 2 funny for words.

I'm sorry but Jackazzes and dumbazzes come in all sizes---shapes and colors. he would love to play that card. Ain't happenin.

This is a funny memory from my working on psych. days that reminded me of JB after reading the articles. I had a male patient who would run around the halls saying, "I'm cook'in with gas" JB is also full of alot of hot air that must surface at some point.

Since Strickland filed a complaint against Baez, can you imagine the tension in the next motion hearing!? Awwwwkwarddddd

Pulling this over from the other thread, worth reading, if you haven't read the specifics. (J.A.B.'s Miata car lease= $340/mo.- paid. Child support $200/mo-unpaid, etc)
........................................................................................................
More complete details from the Fla. Board of Examiners, regarding J.A.B.:

Why would someone in this situation choose to boast about passing the bar on the first try? (That's the norm, actually, if it's even true.) The statement is misleading and not smart if you are unable to be admitted for other reasons.

He's just SHADY

psssst ..
JB isn't too bright ..

Shhhhhhhh

His Ego is bright enough to lie:confused: thinking noone would check:bang:
