Josh allegedly visits strip club after wife disappearance?

This explains why he stayed for two hours!

She reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry rejects a woman because she has "Man Hands". It might be a tranny. She is covering the neck.

BBM, was this on the story too you saw and did they quote a source?

Yes this is what the reporter said at the end of the story. The reporter said that the police confirmed that the people from Duce's Wild did call them back in December with their tip, and they investigated it, but was unable to positively confirmed that it was Josh. Then the reporter said that friends of Susan did not believe the story. (It was unclear if the reporter had spoken recently to the "friends" or if the reporter was relaying what the police told the reporter what the friends thought.

they did not identify who the "friends" were

I saw the updated story on the local news. (No video is posted yet). Several people spoke on camera describing Josh as being a jerk and wanting everyone to know he was having a bad day. They claim they didn't realize it was Josh until approximately one week later when they saw him on tv (probably the famous blue stripe hat 6 minute video). The police confirmed that the people from this business called them (about one week after Susan disappeared).

Friends of Susan do not believe it is true. They don't think it sounds like Josh. They also wonder where the kids would have been while he was inside.

What part doesn't sound like Josh? The part he was being a jerk? The part where he wanted everyone to know he had a bad day? The part where he took another patron's drink? The fact that everyone cheered when he finally left? The part where he wanted the stripper to show him her 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬? That part where he said, "Don't worry I won't hurt you?" ("Don't worry, I won't hurt you! I just killed my wife but I won't hurt you!)

Josh was in an establishment where NOBODY knew him and where he was feeling totally FREE to be HIMSELF! He doesn't care about the kids! He took them camping in 20 degree weather and you think that he wouldn't leave them locked in the van with the heater running so he could watch some strippers dance? I find it highly probable that he would! If they had carseats that they couldn't get out of without help from him, this is entirely possible! All he would have had to do is park his van around back where nobody else parked.

I just remembered one other detail from the news story. The reporter brought up the phone call (I believe it was Jovanna who called Josh about 3 pm, but the reporter did not identified the person) by a friend who asked Josh where he was, and if Susan was with him. Then the friend informed him that Susan was missing, and the police were at his home and he needed to return home as soon as possible.

The reporter is saying Duce's Wild people remembered Josh coming in about 4 pm, and was in a very bad mood. (I'm thinking if he had received the message that the police were already looking for his wife and had been in his home - that could very well put him in a bad mood).

Then the reporter said that Josh got home about 5 pm. (So it does not seem that Josh was at Duce's Wild for a couple of hours). Duce's Wild would not be that far of a drive from Josh's home.

I did an internet map for the distance - 11.2 miles between the club and Josh's home

The key word is "about 5 PM and about 4 Pm and stayed about 2 hours".

The articles I've read said he came home between 5 and 6 PM. Also, Tim Peterson asked Josh what he was doing and why he didn't come home until two hours after Josh learned Susan was missing and Josh said, "I was just driving around West Valley City".

This is what I think happened. Josh finally answered his cell phone and when he hears the police are at his house, panics. He goes to the strip bar to try to gain his composure, possibly thinking a drink will help, if indeed he did have one. He stays about 1 1/2 to 2 hours because he just can't get up the courage to go home!

Everyone is saying "about". There are no definite statements as to exact times.

I think that if Josh did go to this strip bar after receiving this call that his wife was missing to regain his composure and have a drink, that LE surely has ping records to show where he was at this time. They know.

If the place is so close to his house it might be the same cell phone tower.

bwahahahaha -- I just read the story @ abc4.com & spewed my Coke while thinking exactly what you posted, PickieChickie!

Josh being a jerk??? naaahhhhh.

Josh & strip joints or sitting at home unemployed watching hours & hours of 🤬🤬🤬🤬...nope - just wouldn't surprise me at all.

If someone was callous, twisted & cold-hearted enough to kill their wife, then tell stupid stories to news reporters, it's no stretch for me to believe they'd leave their kids in the van while they 'cleared their mind' in a strip joint before going home to face friends & family.

What a tool.

OMG!

I am just now reading all of this! So, Josh's friends think it just doesn't sound like Josh to go to a strip club? Are these some of the same friends who are thinking that Josh may be responsible for Susan's disappearance? If so, then I have a question for them. "You think that Josh may have caused harm to Susan, but he would not stoop to going to a strip club?" GMAB!

I have no idea if Josh was at that strip club or not. It wouldn't surprise me at all. If he would murder Susan, he would not think twice about leaving Susan's boys sleeping in a van while he went inside. OR may very well have been in a vacant house with the generator keeping them warm while sleeping.

I think if Josh was such a web designer (ugh - only in his mind), he had spent a large amount of time on the computer. He could have at some point even visited the strip club website. I think there definately is a deep, dark side to Josh. Does anyone here even think that he would be too good a man to look at 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his computer and then want to see a female strip? I don't.

I say it is a toss up. It would not surprise me either way whether he did or did not go to that strip club. I'm sorry, but that reporter came across as ridiculous to me when he stated the part about Josh having the boys, so implying a little doubt as to whether or not it was Josh because he had the boys.

The only thing I know for certain is that this article is going to make Josh and Daddy so mad! (ha-ha)

Okay, catch me up here - Josh went camping - with the kids - his wife went missing - he was at a strip joint when he learned she was missing - where were the kids?

Good morning, poco.

Look at the first page in this thread and read the article. Some people at the strip club are claiming that Josh came into the club on December 7th. That would have been on Monday.

The reporter leaves the question open as to whether or not Josh would have been in that club because he had the boys with him. I cannot recall his exact words.

Just a big mess.

Oh FFS. Next up will be his lawyer screaming about the gossip about his poor, innocent client. Gag.

I would not be shocked at all if he was at a club or left the kids in the car!!

I'm thinking that if he left the kids in the car that they would have said something about it by now.

I agree. It would have been the first thing on their minds when they talked to LE. Charlie would have said something. I was thinking that staying overnight with a generator running is very different than in a cold van.

Unless JP knocked them out w/ Benadryl or something similar...then there'd be nothing for the kids to talk about.

JP is all about JP & what he wants...he doesn't seem to care who he puts at risk, nor is he capable of putting others' needs before his.

I sure wish we knew for sure this story is true...it would make another great nail in his coffin come the trial.

Bet that is why the cops wanted the video of josh wearing the hat.

The man identified as Powell came in around 2 p.m. wearing a hat. He ordered two beers and a shot and left after about an hour-and-a-half to two hours. Burkholder says customers moved away from him and actually applauded as he walked out the door. His behavior was "outlandish," club owner Rydell Mitchell said.

I agree with your assessment. And I have to say, I just don't get the friends. It makes me so sad for Susan-she had such a hard life. My armchair analysis is this: Maybe Susan got a boatload of pressure to stay with Josh, and the most verbal of friends are reacting in odd ways because they feel badly now. No inside knowledge, just my 2 cents.
This whole situation is tragic, no doubt about it. It just seems to me that dear friends of a missing and obviously endanged young mother's would just say they are extremely thankful for any and all tips that are given to LE. End of story. They wouldn't need to feed, coddle or justify.

JMO, but the last thing anyone who is concerned about Susan should be doing is dissing tips. LE is perfectly capable of sorting them out.

Medication is an obvious possibility. The other option: Some little kids normally sleep extremely soundly. If Susan's boys were like this, J would probably know it.

I (obviously) don't know where they boys were, but I totally buy the story. I saw the newscast. I believe them.
