I don't know.. politicians, their kids, rich and famous are currently getting away with it. Seems like they pick and chose who to prosecute when it comes to children being abused.

That and the laws at the time, plus stupid statute of limitations.

Just now realizing that what I thought at the time was friendly affection, really was grooming all along.

I don't think that there is anything I can do due to the laws at the time.

I don't believe he will ever take responsibility for his actions. He has been protected far too long and has built up quite a wall of reasons and excuses.

I am sorry you went through that. I constantly repeat that they need to change the laws and increase penalties. More often children/teens do not even know that the assaulter can get arrested and by the time they do, they are adults themselves and the limits are up.

I’m just trying to have confidence that the investigators have their case nailed down. One positive thing is that the car sales business Josh owned could not have had that many employees there on the dates mentioned. It should be easily provable who was there on those dates. JMO

I am not sure that is where it started (not saying it didn't influence his perversion further) however, there are reports of him assaulting girls when he was about 14 years old - including his own sisters. His parents knew about it and apparently tried to get him help by taking him to a family friend, who was a cop AND he himself was convicted of having child sexual abuse victims pictures on his computer.

I just had a thought while typing this response and reading about the pervert. I wonder if that cop messed with Duggar and that is why he is the way he is?

I escaped several abusers, but at least 2 of them moved on to people very close to me.

He will take a plea - all opinion only.

Difference is instead of someone sending it to him "out of the blue" he went looking for it. A forensic search of his electronics will show his searches, that he was seeking it out, maybe even paid for it in online currency.

Point is, these FBI investigators can tell the difference in someone innocent clicking on their email - could happen to us - or downloading multiple dark web child abuse sites. One time accident?
Or an ongoing situation?

The Feds DO NOT arrest anyone without iron clad proof, unlike regular law enforcement.

This could be one reason why there is such a long gap between his computer raid and the arrest warrant on him. They got exactly what they need.

Granted, we do have to give Josh Duggar, "Innocent" until determined "Guilty".

However, Jared Fogel was accused of "Receipt of Child pornography". And other charges. His wife filed for divorce the day he took a plea deal. I would make a bet that Anna Duggar won't.

If Josh pleads guilty, he should get plenty of time. So, his kids (presumably) would be grown by the time he is released. As long as the children are safe, what Anna does IMO is her business. She's a victim too, IMOO.

I was referring to the question - when did Josh start looking at porn?
Getting on the computer and looking at it.

I thought it was in a campaign headquarters when he was a teenager. There he had access to the internet and the candidate told Josh to stop, that he could ruin his campaign but nothing was really done about it. I think it was a "boys will be boys" type thing.

When media broke the news about Josh abusing his sisters and looking at porn people wondered when he got computer access because at his parent's house he couldn't get on the internet.

So articles came out about him getting computer access at a campaign headquarters and the candidate being not happy about it. I thought this was when he was still living at home but maybe it was later on.

But that story always stuck with me that they kept him there, didn't do anything and that the actual candidate said it could ruin his campaign.

I couldn't even think to make this stuff up. But it is only opinion without link.
